Review Spudbar Chevron - Melbourne

Kris
Finally got to try their Tex Mex Spud (it was sold out last visit)! The flavours definitely fit the bill and was very filling and sated my dinner hunger. Service was very quick (as it would be since it is basically a pick and choose salad bar setup with someone making it for you). I come here a lot, good for a break meal at work. The staff are pleasant and there is indoor and outdoor seating. Usually enough every time I come. Highly recommended!

What a lovely place to have tummy filling meal. The cost was reasonable as well. The best part was I liked the menu. As a vegan hard for me to find a vegan meal in a menu, they have placed a separate section there. Something all restaurant can learn from them.

Came in today as was looking for somewhere for a bit of brunch as the only thing i had today was a protein shake at and a dare double espresso and needed to find a public toilet. The lady's were extremely polite. The food for health food is quite cheap. I don't understand how more people dont come here. As it is relatively dead for 1pm on a Saturday

Great food, cheap eats and and great enviroment! Awesome friendly staff as well. One of my favorites places to eat in Melbourne.Only thing is disappointed there now not open on weekends 😭

We were just walking past it, when on our way to the park. Seemed like a cosy place to have dinner. Didn't disappoint. Friendly people and good food, with a lot of different choices. Very filling and takeaway option if you had enough. Would come again.

ONE OF THE WORST PLACE TO HAVE LUNCH. The food is not cheap at all . On top of that the attitude of staff working is like some one has forced to work. There was not much of sauces or the topping added after paying additional $$$$. Definitely not worth it you time and money.

Pretty good food and tasty, quick to get. I think the potatoes and other warm ingredients should have been much warmer. Also my partner had too much sour cream.

Nice spud, had been looking forward to it all morning as l was fasting for an appointment at the Alfred Hospital on Commercial Rd. Unfortunately l wasn't paying attention to how much sour cream was being put on. Took it away to eat, opened it up and couldn't see any potato for sour cream. So in the end could only eat about a third of it (even after trying to remove alot of it) because it was so rich and had to throw the rest away. Again, nice enough but l do suggest that the staff are aware that it takes no more than 1 big dollop (unless requested), and not have sour cream almost pouring over the top of the box. Cheers!

We tried the Bacon and Cheese Spud with the white potato and the Bolognese, Cheese and Mushroom snack sized spud. I loved how fresh our food was, it was also relatively cheap in price considering how full we were afterwards.

The place was quite small however they had indoor bar style seats as well as outdoor seatings.

Another Friday afternoon and another search for veg option restaurant nearby area.
Thanks to long queues in most of outlets, picked one with short one.
Spudbar is wonderful concept of healthy food served in front of you 👍
Decent vegetable options and well drafted menu with ingredients to choose from. Selected one from Vegie menu - Fresh Vegie (Gluten free low sugar box of oven baked potatoes baby spinach tomato corn carrot peas hummus)
Service was quick with smile (you have option to choose from sweet potato or normal)
Portion was sufficient and not bland as expected. Hummus added to taste of vegie mixture.
Good option for diet regime followers.

Good quantity of food comparing to the price. Healthy food, the sitting area isn’t that good but definitely worth the try if you’re into health foods.

A healthy alternative on the go. I've been coming here for a few years now and Spudbar is an ever growing business with more locations around Melbourne. My favourite is the chicken avocado fresh and the portions are a generous size.

Really like spud bar as a healthier take away alternative. I usually order the tuna and avocado or the classic spud. But today opted for the chicken and avocado. A little disappointed that the Chicken was processed. But nevertheless, it was still tasty. Always find it to be super filling and have very decent portion sizes and lots of toppings whether I order take away or dine in.

Needed a quick work lunch that was filling. You can make these spuds as healthy or as unhealthy as you'd like but i do like that you get a decent vegetable intake. I got the roast lamb spud, it was very filling but not sickly. Great work lunch on the go.

OMG awesome
Food. Service. Hygine perfect 10/10 for everything
When back in Melbourne will Definetly be back
I had a huge baked potato with so many topings and change from $13.... fantastic!!!!

Ordered Chicken & Avo spud to take away. Added in a bit of corn as extras. Ended up paying $15 for a salad. It tasted ok but definitely overpriced for what it is.

Presentation is nice, food is great but for inexpensive items without any meat it is way too expensive. But nevertheless its good food if you have the money to eat it every day. Healthy food is now more expensive than fast food

Quick, tasty, fresh and friendly staff

Had the pulled pork on sweet potato and I'm already thinking about what I'll have next time! Wish I had one near home :)

I am a big spud box fan but this is the second time I have had a disappointing spud from this shop. All water in the bottom of the spud box, they seem to scoop in all the juice when filling up the box. Cheese was unpleasant due to this, not a tasty box. :(

If they were between $5-7 id say good value and lunch here a lot but unfortunately they've taken something that costs 10 cents at a supermarket and then filled with a few inexpensive and not particularly outstanding toppings and theb charge $10 without a drink!!! Healthy but service is neither bad or good, and food is not very memorable and cost seems to rise everytime i go in and is now at a point i just don't bother anymore.

The spuds have eyes....hmmm. Im a big huge fan of Spudbar, well spudbar Brunswick st that is. This store gives the others a bad name, worst service, worst servings, poorest quality toppings. I have let them know about it many an occasion but never seen an improvement. The whole concept is great and simple but im not sure why they are going down the gourmet path? A spud is a spud right? Earthy and wholesome? As stated by others on this forum, the value for money is slipping here.

Healthy but not good value anymore. I've always liked Spudbar and have have eaten there for awhile now. Always a healthy choice but they have gotten expensive over time. what used to cost about 7 bucks now costs almost double. It's not longer value for money.

Fresh, healthy & filling. It's on my regular list - yumm.

Yum! It's so great every time! Great way to eat healthy fresh food! Thanks spud bar!! I'll be in over the weekend for another great feed!

HIT AND MISS - Only really had it once where it was fresh and tasty, twice before though the spud was cold and dry. Toppings are generally ok.

I think I've found a new place for lunch each day. It's a little more expensive than I'd usually pay but the meal was quite large, fresh, and full of flavour. I'll be back... Tomorrow!
