Very sloppy food.
Although the meat was cut fresh from the gyro, it didn't taste like good quality meat (is the lamb actually mutton??)
The shop also smelled like urine.
Avoid

Was a good lamb souvlaki but very expensive at $18. They're so loaded with meat I can never seem to finish one, so it always seems like a waste. I'd go more often if a smaller, cheaper lamb souvlaki was available with about 60% of the filling you get in a regular

As soon as I opened my souvlaki it fell bare onto the table which looked like it hadn't been cleaned all day, or maybe even all week. I went over the to the man who prepared it to tell him what happened. I even apologised as I didn't know that would happen.
He then proceeded to re assemble my souvlaki with his own bare hands and told me to eat it.
Absolutely disgusting, and they're charging $18 for this.
Never returning, used to visit this place as a child and always loved it. Now that's ruined for me.

I just ordered a lamb souvlaki, i didnt have my credit money, so i withdrew $100 to pay for the souvlaki. They didn't have any change, it was too difficult … so they took the souvlaki out of my hand and gave me my money back. Good times. What a place

Lambs have been serving great souvlaki since the early 80's. Their lamb is cooked superbly and their garlic sauce and lemon squeezed over everything is what a souvlaki should be.

Frozen meat, reheated, cold tomatoes that had been cut definitely on a previous day,
I d be embarrassed to serve that if it was my shop.
One bite and straight to the bin
Waste of $18.

The juiciest lamb. Travelled from sydney for this!
This my second review **update** 22/7/22
Lambs
…After a long flight from Brisbane, I caught the 10pm bus to the city for my pre-midnight feed
Lambs has always had a nostalgic place in my heart. I remember the first time my dad took me here. “When I was in Uni, it used to be $12”. The price has obviously changed since then but the taste hasnt. The zesty Yoghurt and salad to remix the heaviness of eat cut of heaven. The first bite just envelopes your mouth with a meaty, smokey charcoal aroma. With a perfect ratio of fattiness and meat in the first bite. It was a perfect combination of charred and crispiness from the spit, and enough flavour to entertain the next several bites without the fattiness being too repetitive.
Whilst there was some chaos among the ordering and wondering if the person in front of me had ordered, it all fell together after I was ushered by one of the customers that had ordered. Although. Interior decor can be considered quite dated, it just fed into the nostalgic vibe that I was looking for. While waiting for my food to arrive I read through some of the reviews as I wanted to see if I could share the delight that we call Lambs. It was quite disappointing to see some of the feedback with poor levels of satisfaction. “Oh it just fell apart and was hard to eat”.. “oh there wasnt enough flavour..” blah blah..
My experience when eating my double meat Souv was an experience id compare to undressing a beautiful woman. Starting from the top and working my way around her body slowly unravelling her dress. Trying not to be too hasty so its contents dont fall out of the wrapper, and also not being too casual and slow such that all the caramelise fats start to solidify and harden leaving a waxy mouth feel.
Overall, definitely would have loved to enjoy this with some of my friends, however enjoying this by my self wasnt a horrible experience either. It really elevated my concentration in being able to enjoy every uneven cut of lamb, to each crisp cut onion. The dopamine high after trying to finish the double was through the roof. Im so happy that an icon like this still exists. Thank you
