they are sitting in china town, not very busy on the new year eve. i wait not too long for my order, i had Dry noodle with soft boiled egg, and the thorn noodle soup, plum deep fried chicken. the chicken tasted really yum. crunchy from the outside, the plum powder give it a little bit of kick. will come again to try some other thing

Had a warm and delicious meal here the other day and it was so wholesome!šŸ˜ŒLocated near the end of Chinatown, this restaurant offers some hearty comfort food at really affordable pricesšŸ² If youā€™re like me and love Malaysian food, youā€™ll be super satisfied with this place! I absolutely loved their fried plum chicken, was super crispy, sweet and salty - love love love. They also had so many soup noodle dishes (in their name lol) but I had to get their braised pork belly dish šŸ¤£šŸ™ˆ They also have a Liven Pay package so when you purchase $20, you get an extra $20 - use my code UX1Y68 for $10 off your first order! *This isn't a sponsored post

Great, tasty, not the best pan mee vs JoJo, but that's okay. The noodle soup is what you come here for. Looking forward to trying the rice dishes!

Excellent restaurant. Great customer service. Food was so yummy, the flavours were balanced and spot on. Clean restaurant and food came out quickly. The noodles were fresh and delicious.

Everything is original, delicious and handmade. You can have your noodles hand torn, thin or thick. Love their dry pan mee noodles and soup noodles. The soups are consistently delicious without MSG.
Thomas Skurray
Superbly springy handmade noodles. Perfect chili pan mee. As good as the best you would find in Malaysia. The fried plum chicken was a little too sweet for me, but it provided good contrast to the spicy noodle dishes. Keep up the great work!

Great flavor, good location and easy to order. I just picked a popular one off the menu because I can't be bothered mixing and matching protein with noodles bases etc as I'll surely stuff it up, but you can customize it if you want. Food was great, also enjoyed the plum juice drink. Would have given it 5 stars but there were some flies buzzing around which is a bit too authentic for me...

Well.. Definitely not same as Malaysia āļøāļøāļø - Shop āļø - Soup āļø - noodle āļø - Pork Belly Slices āļøāļøāļøāļø - Cut Chilli Sauce Is sorry to say this.. soup totally different.. Sanxian soup tastes completely off .. The soup loses the aroma of wine.. they also donā€™t have a original packing already..

Insta: melbfoodie_mark<br/>YT: MelbFoodieMark<br/>** Check them out for more food reviews in Melbourne!<br/>-<br/>Found their "Buy 1, Get 1 for free" promotion for Pan Mee so decided to swing by (ends on June 14th FYI). We grabbed their homemade Pan Mee soups making sure one of them is spicy for my friend who loves everything spicy. Keeping it short, friendly staff, decent broth, and dope oriental interior. The broth was light but also hearty enough to keep you warm on a cold winter day like ones we are having right now - seriously, what's going on right now man. I'm legit wearing layers of winter jackets at home to stay warm. Overall, not bad, not bad at all.

i tried their famous dry pan mee noodles ($13.80) which came with spinach, wood ear mushrooms, little anchovies and minced pork. you get to choose your type of noodles as well so i chose the teared ones for the best texture. the sauce itself was a bit one dimensional and quite sweet but once you add the sambal it gives it such a good kick of spice! also comes with a little tub of soup with 2x fish dumplings. very worth it for the serving size.

Addicted to the sambal chili. My favorite comfort food in Melbourne especially during winter

The popular chain in Malaysia have opened their doors in Melbourne and i was so excited to try it<br/><br/>We ordered the pan mee noodles and noodle soup along with some sodes. We really enjoyed the the noodles and dont forget to get the chill from the sauce and water station at the front.<br/><br/>Dont forget to try the fish crackers also known as keropok lekor, the texture is chewy and nice and the flavours were good<br/><br/>The chilli brings the dishes to another level and was really authentic. Overall we really enjoyed the noodles and meal at Go Noodle

This was enjoyable and quite filling. I had the hot and sour pan mee in a combo that included 2 bite size spring rolls, a curry puff, 1 small piece of fried chicken and a drink for $20. The pan mee was nice but I didnā€™t find it as tasty and flavoursome as say, Dainty Sichuan, or even a Japanese ramen. I know they are entirely different dishes, but the premise is similar. The girl thatā€™s served me was very helpful and nice.
Chester Lau
Itā€™s extremely dirty. We ordered two bowls of noodles and there were bugs in our food. Donā€™t risk eating here.

I came here for lunch midweek. They have a large menu with a variety of noodles. I ordered the dry noodles which come with soup. It was good, I found the noodles just a bit too saucy, but they were very tasty. I will go with the soup option next time.

Be mesmerised by the oriental interior when first sterling into the restaurant and be welcomed with the friendly staff they lastd the whole time.<br/><br/>Dates wolf berry tea - a sweet yet perfectly brewed tea.<br/><br/>Superior soup beef and pork combo- the broth is more of a subtle<br/><br/>Superior soup pan mee is more of a heavy soup and strong in taste. We chose the tear noodle which bunched up and made the dish filling<br/><br/>Trio platter - pork fried is tastes somewhat like spam but the crispy beancurd was impressive in the sense that it was so crisp and remained that way. The Chinese donut was slightly tough but complimented well with the noodles.<br/><br/>Special dark sauce with choice of noodle. The noodles were somewhat chewy and hard but mixed well with the variety of sides which consisted of salty crisp anchovies, minced meat and the crispiest shallots. Mixed them all and variety of flavours become one.

Oh wow. WOW. Five stars for their keropok lekor (fried fish dumpling crackers)!! Fish balls and roe were also worth a try - fresh, springy and the roe inside gives out a warm, flavorful burst.<br/><br/>Will. Come. Back.

Great addition to the thriving Chinese food scene in Melbourne. The handmade noodles are fresh, delicious and tasty. There is plenty of variety to choose from - for spice lovers, check out the chilli pan mee with thick noodles šŸ˜‹ The venue is clean, comfortable and spacious which is unusual for a restaurant like this. And, love the craft beer too! šŸ»

Quite liked this place for their noodles! We ordered dried pan mee with a variety of toppings (mince pork, fried little fishies and fried shallots) that comes with soup, it was an ginormous portion! I love the dipping sauce you get with it.<br/><br/>My dining companion ordered bitter melon fish noodle soup and he quite liked it as well. You can order some rice wine to pour into your soup which makes it super yummy.<br/><br/>Their bak gwa (pork jerky) tasted yummy as well but I found their fish skin inconsistent- some are crispy and some are not as crispy. Also there are a number of things that are not available in the menu which is disappointing

Specialising in Malaysian hand-pulled noodles, the dishes are characterised by a clean broth with crisp salty anchovies.<br/><br/>Not a lot of restaurants do it, but if the chilli pan mee is on special, try it. Itā€™s one of my favourites.<br/><br/>Itā€™s a bowl of medium width flat noodles, woodear mushroom, pork mince, anchovies, housemade chilli oil and a soft boiled egg.<br/><br/>Mix everything up and everything gets coating in the egg, making it luxurious.<br/><br/>Nice texture on the noodles with a bit of resistance. <br/><br/>Service is professional and friendly, and the restaurant itself is clean.<br/><br/>Some really good noodle options, give it a go!

We went to this shop for supper because of the $10 panmee promo. My boyfriend gave a 3 stars for the panmee that he had which he finds it decent but not as good as the other panmee shop.<br/><br/>However, the fish paste noodle that I ordered is lack of flavour and I found a tiny insect on one of the veggie (refer to the picture attached) just when I'm about to finish everything šŸ˜©
Annie Sun
Bad Malaysian food. Ordered both dry and soup pan mee and didn't enjoy it at all. Tasted like instant noodles, bland and lots MSG. Zero customer service and staff was rude. I don't get what's the hype about this place.

Yummy handmade noodles. The noodles were of an exceptional chewy quality. The soup was tasty albeit a little on the salty side. The portion was generous for the price point. All in all, a satisfactory meal.

Great place to catch up or eat alone! Noodles taste super fresh! I had the mushroom soup noodle with truffle oil. The dish was very delicious to start but I felt it was too overwhelming by the end! But it could be from being so full as their portions are quite generous.
Valerie
Noodles arenā€™t that great for the price honestly. There are better noodle places where you can get higher quality and better tasting noodles at a similar price.

23-June 2013<br/><br/>Was here this afternoon for lunch and ordered a bowl of noodles with garoupa fish in superior soup and add on bitter melon with an additional charge of $2. The fish was cut into thick slices served together in the soup with the noodles. The presentation of the fish meat on top of the noodles give an appetising look. One bite of the fish meat will make you want more and it is very fresh. Also order their pork and chives dumplings in spicy sauce. You can actually feel the fish flavour in the soup. Noodle is well cooked. Overall I have a satisfying meal of the day. Staffs are friendly and the decoration was old China look. Will come again. Prices are reasonable and portion are big serving.
Some Bunee Loves Food
There's heaps of food on the menu that I wanted to try. But today, we tried the bursting meatball udon noodle soup and also the pan mee dry noodles.<br/><br/>The bursting meatballs were very interesting. The filling tasted like a garlic taste but not sure what it is. It was unique and nice. The soup was very clear and piping hot.<br/><br/>The dry noodles had a fishball soup, some cold minced meat, anchovies and scallots to go with it. Mixed it all in with the sauce and the taste was still very very light, almost no flavor. The soup had a very fishy taste.

Iā€™m so happy GO Noodle House is finally in Melbourne! I first tried this place in KL, Malaysia and this Melbourne franchise did not disappoint. The staff is prompt and service is quick. More importantly, the food is just as good! <br/>For those of you who arenā€™t familiar, the way it works is that you can choose from existing noodle bowls or make your own; from the type of noodle (Mi Xian is the speciality but they have pan mee or udon options as well), broth (ā€˜superiorā€™ which is like a clear chicken stock or ā€˜spicy superiorā€™ which is spicy and sour), and a variety of proteins. My favourite is the superior broth with fish ball roe and mi xian.
Caroline
Tried their fish dumpling noodle soup with hot and sour broth and dry pan mee. Both dishes were so delicious and hearty. Highly recommended for noodle lovers

We had a quick dinner here in this lovely venue on Saturday night. I had a pork and beef udon soup and my partner had Pan Mee with udon. Incredibly yummy with good broth and fantastic value at just $10 a bowl after 9pm!! I also like that there is lots of space for seating. 5/5. We will definitely return again after dark šŸ˜‹

What a delight this place is! Been wanting to try here for a while. First of all, great value for money. Massive bowl of soup filled with noodles, and packed with bok choy and seafood. They donā€™t hold back on the seafood either, solid amount of clams, mussels, large fish pieces and a juicy large prawn. Order extra fish balls with roe - yummm! Got here right on 12pm - place packs quickly so get in early to get a seat!

Came here for dinner on a weeknight. Was not too busy. Had the Superior Soup Pan Mee with Thick Noodles. Awesome when paired with the Sambal Belacan and a steaming hot cup of Ginger Tea. Nice seating and service was efficient.

Drools, drools and more drools.Ā Go Noodle House did not disappoint! Please do yourself a favour and go eat at Go Noodle House. Right now! I have been wanting to try out the noodles at this restaurant for quite some time now but something and some other places always came up. Either my lunch buddies wanted to eat here, or there or over thereā€¦ but finally, today I stood my grounds and said to my brother: ā€œWe are going to Go Noodle House for lunchā€.Ā  And was I glad we did!

Prob the best Pan Mee i've had in Melbourne. The herbal chicken noodle soup is worth a mention too. Def worth checking out. I've been a few times already and each time doesn't disappoint! A little hard to find if you have never been. Just walk all the way through the hallway and it's right at the end

I am a huge fan of soup noodles and hence was pleasantly surprised by this Malaysian addition to Melbourne.Ā <br/><br/>The mixian noodle in superior soup was clean tasting and yet packed with so much flavour. The dry pan mee here is rather special with the noodles having such great texture and very tasty even before mixing together with the provided mince meat, dried anchovies and fried shallots.Ā <br/><br/>The serving here is huge and I like that they have a complimentary condiment counter. A warning though, the sambal is super spicy so take in small doses.

Visited them on a Sunday evening and the place looked fairly busy. Folks on the table next to us suggested the plum friend chicken ribs which was good. They werenā€™t too happy about the noodle soup which is what we came for. We ordered the noodle in sauce instead and were thoroughly disappointed as the noodles had no flavor. <br/>The service was just about average and not so attentive.
XinRu Ong
I tried their original one in Malaysia, and I compare to this, I don't really like it. Soup broth not as tasty as that. Quantity of the pork belly slices expected to be more but not. For the temporary craving of soupy food during cold days, this is good enough. But I would still give a try on other style of meat ;)
Ling Yap
The superior pan mee soup is flavorful. Big portion too. Had the hot dates wolfberry tea which was nice. The anchovies might be a bit too hard but once soaked in soup, it's ok.

*Chili pan mee is not in the photo<br/>Beef skewer: HARD to chew<br/>Pork skewer: Awesome combo with the sauce!!<br/>Nine dragon balls: Chicken balls are great; cuttlefish & fried fish balls are just so so <br/>Dates tea: 10/10 recommend!!<br/>Chili pan mee: 2/5 <br/>Soup noodle: 3/5 The soup and the meat are good to eat but the noodles are still kinda hard in the middle :(<br/><br/>Overall: side dishes are great, excluding the beef skewer, the noodles..... meh :/

The food was tasty and service was ok. The only problem here is the whole service team pretends they are mute. They are like lifeless robots. They donā€™t really ā€œguideā€ their patrons on neither how to order nor where are all the utensils are. They simply assumed everyone ā€œknowsā€ where everything is. Other than the service, the quality of the noodles and broth are not too bad. The ā€œsambal belacanā€ was awesome and full of flavour. The grouper fish soup noodle had a shot of rice wine. It definitely lifted the whole meal. Quite tasty and fulfilling. Iā€™ll definitely return since now I ā€œknowā€ where everything are. I give this place an Average Tomato.

Customer service is bad. Waited for 45 mins of our noodles and not even apologise. Quality is just average. Not returning to this restaurant.

Highly recommend the superior soup!<br/>Finally found a local Malaysia style of pan mee :D <br/>Deep fried beancurd skin was so crunchy!<br/>Staff are polite, especially the supervisor(Dave) was nice and attentive. Good job buddy!<br/>Definitely will be back soon :)

Not sure....why other review just gave 3 stars as they mentioned that they will come back to this restaurant, why?<br/><br/>For me....This restaurant's best dish is the (dry) Pan-Mee.<br/>I been there many times....still think it is the best Pan-Mee noodle house in Melbourne.<br/>The sambal chilli.....you could get as much as you want as long as you could take the "hot".<br/><br/>I will 100% go back again on a timely basis.

**OUR FAVORITE NOOOODS** Go Noodle House just opened up their first store in Australia a few months ago. A super popular restaurant in Malaysia that serves delicious South Chinese noodles. šŸœšŸœ Because our background is Malaysian this meal really took us home! Super authentic and delicious. I'd definitely recommend a visit šŸ˜

Sorry for the half eaten bowl of noodles. A nice quick place for lunch and it was a neat idea how they let you customise your dish to your liking. I had the hot and sour soup with pan mee which is apparently their signature dish. <br/><br/>I really quite enjoyed the texture of the noodles and the flavour of the broth; the servings were also very generous. Try it before adding the condiments; itā€™s definitely more sour than hot but that is easily fixed. Adding the mince pork was a bit of a mistake as it just disappears into the food. Best to have something with a bit more substance. My companion has the superior soup was was a bit boring but the mi xian (also known as Lai fun to the Cantonese) was really quite good too. Might try some of the other dishes next time.

Delicious! We ordered the superior pan mee (classic) and the autumn special dry chili pan mee. The ā€œtearā€ noodles were actually thin smooth neat squares, different to the homemade style - uneven with lots of chewy bite - but still nice to eat. Added an extra shot of rice wine to the stock but probably didnā€™t need it, it was already pretty good. I do wish the anchovies were crispier. All in all a satisfying meal.
The Worldā€™s My Oyster
The only positive I would say is that the noodles were perfectly cooked and still chewy. Other than that, I found the place pretty average and the pan mee I had was a decent meal but nothing outstanding. Definitely a dayā€™s worth of salt content in the sauce though! Have yet to try any of their noodle soups though so might give them another go if Iā€™m in the area. <br/><br/>The milk tea was bland and would pass on that.
Caztanza
Iā€™ve been wanting to try Go Noodle ever since they announced their opening last year. A lot of hypes were on FB about this place, but sad to say that I found the food to be nothing special.<br/>I ordered 105A fish cake noodle with superior soup. Enjoyed the fish cake, didnā€™t mind the soup and noodles.
The Casual Diner
Will come back for:<br/>+ Mixed fried balls<br/>+ Spicy Pan Mee<br/><br/>Loved the fried balls (cuttlefish, fish and pork). Just the right kind of bounciness and cleanly fried outside. The pork ball soup was good, but I especially liked the pan mee (lots of fried anchovies, mushrooms, and the smooth pan mee). Make sure you donā€™t short change yourself by eating this with the chilli sauces provided (you have to grab these yourself). Service was a little slow for us today, and unfortunately that meant that we couldnā€™t really enjoy the meal as we wolfed it all down before watching a show. Service was polite enough, and weā€™ll probably be back to give this place another go.

Ordered: superior soup pan mee and side of onsen egg , superior beef and pork combo, crispy bean curd, grilled beef skewer <br/><br/>LIT! āļø: <br/>- unlimited condiments on the side.<br/>- giant serving size, you will definitely be full <br/>- soup is refreshing, the pan mee was better than beef and pork combo, but you get less meat. <br/>- add bean curd to the soup for more texture <br/><br/>NOT SO LIT: the grilled beef skewer. It was so dry and a torture to eat. <br/>

Was a little homesick so I wanted to have some Pan Mee. The place was strategically located at the end of Chinatown. Good ambience but basic service - you have to take your own chilli. The portions were HUGE but I canā€™t help but compare to Malaysiaā€™s GNH. The soup was def tastier in Malaysia. I also recall getting more meat and mushroom in the pan mee. Spinach tasted like it was just blanched for a short while. Will come back again when I want comfort food - but Iā€™m hopeful that they will improve to be closer to GNH Malaysian standards. Also price isnā€™t very cheap
Sammy
Love the noodles here. Tried both soup and dry version and both are delicious. Staffs are very friendly and attentive too. Worth visiting for sure

Went here last night!<br/>The service was great, even we walked in 30mins before they closed.<br/>The fish ball was very good with the hot and sour soup.<br/>The ambience is clean & nice.
Ohsnap
Liked the fish dumplings and the ability to customize my noodles with add ons, but really wished that they cut down on the MSG in the soup stock. Your stock isnā€™t really superior if itā€™s reliant on heaps of msg to make it umami tasting.
Thepeckishswan
We ordered two broths- the hot and sour one and normal pork broth. Pork broth tasted clean and healthy. The hot and sour one was extremely spicy but flavoursome! The noodles were fresh and housemade. Delicious overall<br/><br/>

Malaysian comfort noodle soup done right. Taste is good, I had the fish noodle. Fish taste is very fresh, serving is very generous as well. You will leave with happy full belly.

Go noodle house is the pride of Malaysia, bringing in the authentic Mixian from China, thatā€™s how diversed Malaysian is. The clear soup is my favourite of the shop, it was packed with sweetness from the three ingredients they used for soup (chicken, pork and fish). The portion is great just like how it is back home. Not a big fan of their pictures on menu because their pictures are mainly for illustration purpose only. The sambal belacan that they serve is authentic and very very yummy. Same goes to their fish dumpling crackers, it is as close as I can get back home. Some noodles of their menu (bursting meatball) are not available at all times and it seems like they do not have plan to replenish them. Not a big fan of their pan mee too, it was over cooked and too soft. The service is quick and friendly too. Overall, go noodle house would be my choice for a bowl of noodle soup but not others. We wish they would match up with their standard back home.

Never get enough of noodle from GO Noodle House. The broth is amazing. They also do noodle challenge here. For big eater should go challenge yourself. <br/><br/>Nom nom!
Lizzie Eats Melbourne
šŸ˜±Lizzieā€™s first impression: Iā€™ve been eyeing everyone inside whenever they eat the hand made noodles and I finally got to try it. <br/><br/>šŸ©Lizzie enjoyed: the noodles were as good as I expected them to be. It was al dente and almost on the hard side which I love - the flavour were delicious and I couldnā€™t get enough of it. The portions are also very big so be sure to go there when youā€™re very hungry! <br/><br/>šŸ…Lizzie did not enjoy: I do not recommend the onsen egg as it really doesnā€™t add value to the dish at all. <br/><br/>šŸ„‡Lizzie rates overall: a great place for a quick feed and great for noodle and carb lovers.

Malaysiaā€™s noodle specialists, GO Noodle House, have settled right into their first Australian flagship store on Little Bourke Street, with lines of loyal followers visiting every day. <br/><br/>GO Noodle House has over 30 outlets throughout South East Asia, and is a powerhouse on the noodle scene, famous for their clear seafood bisque ā€˜Superior Soupā€™ and dry-based Mi Xian noodles, which is a dish that was passed down through generations into the hands of the GO Noodle team, and hails from the Qing Dynasty of the 17th century.

Noodles were really good. The highlight of my visit was the sambal chilli itā€™s so good taste like home. Well definitely be visiting here again

Newly opened Chinese noodle. I tried it with my friend today. We ordered two of their most recommended noodles. To be honest, the noodle is very terrible. It is a noodle cooked only with soy sauce. Whole noodle is served in a very flat dish, making me hard to mix all the ingredients. The soup is bad as well, I can smell the raw fish from it. <br/>Only the service is good. The staffs are quite friendly. <br/>If you want to try Asian noodles, I recommend the noodles in Russell street, there are a few good ones there.
Handini Audita
The portion of the noodle was HUGE! I cannot finish the whole bowl for myself. I recommend to share the food with 2 or 3 people. The taste of the noodle however is not what I like most. The taste of the noodle is very plain. The soup were also quite plain.
Sylv
Ordered a pork belly slice mixian, mixed beef and pork mixian and a fish fillet slice mixian. I must say, all were very average considering the price is on the high side, didn't feel like I got what I paid for unfortunately. Ambience was nice though, very traditionalšŸ‘Œservice was on the good side.

Had this in Malaysia multiple times so had pretty high expectations for this place.<br/><br/>Came here specifically for the bursting meatballs but they were sold out for quite some time, not sure when were they planning to replenish. Ended up getting the pork balls and pork belly with the mi xian and superior soup option, also ordered a side of taiwanese sausages and gold coin - pork.<br/><br/>The gold coin didn't give a very good first impression as a start as it only came in 3 pieces for that price, pretty expensive. Taste was pretty standard at least, same goes to the taiwanese sausage as you really can't go wrong with it.<br/><br/>When the noodle arrived, the pork belly looked off, it didn't look like the one served in Malaysia where you have heaps of thinly sliced pork belly. Instead, you get about 2.5 slice of slightly thicker, not so tasty and tough pork belly, in fact it had that unpleasant pork smell. The noodles remained the same so was happy about this at least, but the disappointing part was the soup - just bland and does not taste the same as Malaysia.<br/><br/>Overall, please do not use the Malaysian menu pictures (as explained by the staff for the case of the pork belly) as it's doesn't represent what you're selling here - "images are for illustration purposes" excuse cannot be tolerated for every scenario. The soup should be the major selling point but turned out to be different, not to mention the trio platter platter in Melbourne had one item swapped out for a cheaper alternative.

Been there for a lunch. Waited for a while for a table , service was nice and food was ok. The problem was the gap between 2 dishes was unexpectedly long... it took another 15mins for mine to come when my fd already stared her.

Decided to check this place out as weā€™d heard it was famous in Malaysia. Itā€™s hard to get a seat in here during lunch time peak hour, but we managed to find one easily at dinner time on a weekend. <br/><br/>We ordered the Slow Cooked Premium Beef Slice Mixian (hot and sour soup), Superior Soup Pan Mee (thin), and Special Dark Sauce Pan Mee (thick), along with a side of the Trio Platter and Taiwanese Sausages.<br/><br/>The noodles were delicious. We especially liked the thick Pan Mee noodles as it had a very nice bite to it. The superior soup was my favourite as it has so much flavour! The dark sauce was a little bit bland though and we thought it couldā€™ve done with a bit more vinegar or seasoning (you can add vinegar at the self-serve bar). The hot and sour soup was indeed sour, and not too spicy.<br/><br/>The trio platter consisted of fried spam sticks, fried bean curd skin, and fried dough sticks - which all tasted really nice both with the dipping sauces or in the soup! But our favourite dish of all would have to be the Taiwanese Sausages - a nice grilled char, slightly sweet, and the perfect amount of fat. Itā€™s definitely a must try!<br/><br/>Overall, it was a decent meal, but I think we may have over-hyped it for ourselves a bit. The food was alright, and good enough for a quick and convenient meal.

On the corner of exhibition street and little bourke street, GO noodle house is a specialist in Malaysian noodles that uses a tick-box customization menu format - giving you the option for that custom noodle creation.<br/><br/>Ordered:<br/>šŸ² Beef & Pork combo (119A): Superior soup with mi xian noodle, combination of different meats, bok choy and coriander ($14.80)<br/>šŸ„–+ chinese donut ($2.00)<br/>šŸ„š+ onsen egg ($2.00)<br/>šŸ¶+ 5 year old rice wine ($2.00)<br/><br/>Review:<br/>The 5 year old rice wine by itself doesn't smell much like alcohol, but has that vinegary spicy punch that makes you hesitant in adding it with your noodles šŸ˜–<br/>But when you add it to the basic superior soup, it adds a very distinct soy sauce flavour; giving it that goooood old salty umami hit!<br/><br/>The interior is cramped but doesn't seem like it due to its cleverly high ceilings. However it is notable when you try to get a table in a large group.<br/>GO Noodle House also encourages self service - with drinking stations, utensils, and a sauce/dipping station located up front near the register.<br/>This means when you're on your way back to your seat, it becomes a precarious adventure juggling all your items and dodging the waiters in the narrow space.<br/><br/>The floor to ceiling windows also gives you the greatest natural lighting when Melbourne's sunny weather decides to peak through.

We came here for a quick lunch on Friday. We ordered the pan mee and were pleasantly surprised. The broth was full of flavour and I thoroughly enjoyed the chinese wine flavour. The fish balls were also a nice addition to the dish and had a nice bite. The portions were also huge and prices were reasonable.

A friend and I stop by here for dinner on a weekday. There were tables available when we arrive around 7pm.My friend got the superior soup pan mee. I got the beef and pork combo superior soup with mi xian noodles and a 3y.o wine shot. The broth was light and tasty, and a really generous portion size. Overall, the taste was average, nothing spectacular that'll make me return when if I'm craving a good bowl of noodle soup.<br/>The food was quick to be served. It's self service, so you have to pick up your own cup of water and cutleries.

This is my first time to put down a review. Went to this restaurant twice ! I like the dry sauce pan mee so much delicious and the portion is large. The soup noodle is plentiful and my husband have the Mixian with seafood combination. Last week we visited we met a very helpful lady waitress Christine she is extremely friendly and knowlegable ! She went into details about the noodles, and helped us pick the best options on the menu. The second time we went she was worked on the cashier and she remember me as well ! Purely she has a lovely smile and very personable, that's why my husband leave some tips (quite a small tip). She made our visit much welcome. Heard about Go Noodle houseā€™s hype in Malaysia from friends. Now they have open a store in Melbourne. Their legendary pan mee was delicious and saucy... with its pork minced, fried ikan bilis or anchovy made it splurging licking good! The extra onsen egg played sidekick to this noodle dish but i thought you can go without it. The other dish I was the clam noodle soup. For me the soup was clean and tasty and the clams.. the bowl was covered with it. Initially i thought it was going to be a couple of shellfish, the more I dig into, felt like it was bottomless bucket of clams calling it out to me. As for the other star of this dish, their garlic chilli sauce.. spicy and delicious! The heat kept increasing in my mouth but no bother... spicy it was i thought i was in spice haven. For fans of noodles and chilli, this is one pitstop to go to.

Brand new venue in chinatown, arriving from Malaysia. So its time for me to tried them out.<br/><br/>Venue is decorated nicely with traditional Chinese setting and picture.<br/><br/>Ordered the hot and sour pan me and special spicy dark sauce, nice Dragon balls and fried fish dumpling crackers. Bit its very spicy but it's taste so fresh and minimal msg.<br/>

Very good superior soup but even better when mixed with wine. Dry pan mee and lekor was authentic as can be. Nice atmosphere and great staff very child friendly too !

A place that serve noodle. Generous portion, very good noodle and the soup was nice. Beef ball is not good, pork ball pretty ok, slices beef and pork belly is good. Went few times they still run out of bursting meat ball, no point it still show on the menu.

Another noodle house!<br/><br/>I had the fish ball with udon noodle with a side of onset egg.<br/><br/>The egg was great! Soft and runny, just the way I like it!<br/><br/>The fish ball with noodle was ok. There are better noodle house around that do a better job.

Came here during peak lunch hour and we managed to snag one of the last available seats. We placed our orders and it took around 45 minutes for our food to come out. I'm a patient guy but waiting that long during work hours is asking for trouble. A large table behind us definitely gave the manager criticism, the underlying issue is that they individually cook the bowls separately rather than have a large vat of broth and serving it in a production line. Our main issue was that the waitresses kept looking over and checking our order, yet nothing came of it. We had to wave down the ladies a couple of times as they forgot little things (like an egg). Not sure if there was meant to be table service but I had to go grab my own chopsticks and serviettes. Everyone (including the large table behind us) got their bowls one by one, not all together. It's awkward eating alone.<br/><br/>Onto the food! I got their homemade hot and sour soup, true to its description it was spicy and sour from the vinegar. I got the thick noodles in the hope that they'd be chewy and they were. If you aren't too keen on spicy foods I'd get a non-spicy version and add to the broth at their condiments table.<br/><br/>Overall food was decent, service was a let down.

Was excited to try the food here for the first time but noticed hair in my noodle soup. Not all of the ingredients shown on the menu was served, which was deceiving. The food here is overloaded with MSG as well. Unless the food quality is improved, won't be going back here anymore.

Was here a few days ago as a few of my colleagues has mentioned this newly opened restaurant so we decided to give it a go.<br/><br/>Spacious restaurant. Fast service. Order on the sheet and provide to server. Self-serve cutlery, napkins and condiments.<br/><br/>Menuwise lotsa noodle dishes on the menu (duh) but basically only 2 type of broths - the pork broth or sweet and sour broth.<br/><br/>I went with the pork and beef combination pork broth with udon noodle. 2 others ordered the same and another got the sweet and sour broth.<br/><br/>Took about 20-25min before our noodles came. Bowl looks huge but its sorta an illusion. I still couldnt finish it though hehe... very generous with the beef and pork balls and meat. However quite dissapointed that there wasnt much to the broth. Yes it was good but not totally special? Had to add some soy sauce and chilli oil to give it a bit of extra oompf.<br/><br/>We also got the bean curd skin which was slightly too oily for me but good as a starter to share.<br/><br/>Overall good meal. Prices were ok between $14-16 for a bowl of noodle.<br/><br/>

Well.. The decoration is good but the noodles are not. I've ordered a fish dumplings noodle (105A). The fish dumplings are supposed to be al dents, however, they are soft and tasteless. The soup base has no other taste apart from white pepper. My partner has ordered beef and pork combination (119A), the pork is tasteless and the beef is way too tough. Another thing is the setting of customer service, I understand the setting of the restaurant is self serve for the cutlery and water, but they have way too many waiters and waitresses, around 8 on the floor and 5 of them just stand there doing nothing where the only waiter there serving for food.<br/>The only thing that is better than average is their fried fish skins. Nothing else.

Updated: 4 August 2019<br/>Ordered the seafood noodles and a bowl of 9 dragon balls. Seafood noodles came with lots of seafood for the price of $14.9. The soup is a tad watery and has no taste compared previously.<br/><br/>Updated: 22 Dec 2018<br/>Today tried the pan Mee and a bowl of 9 dragon balls. Delicious. Place is packed at 5pm.<br/><br/>Updated 7 Dec 2018:<br/>Came here again to eat their fish dumpling noodles. Tried there hot and sour soup. Quite spicy. And another bowl of seafood noodles.<br/><br/>Rating: 3.5<br/><br/>Previously:<br/>Newly opened a few weeks ago and there is always a line. This is apparently a popular chain of restaurants in Malaysia specialising with noodles.<br/><br/>Came here for lunch and waited almost 30mins. The ambience is on point and on this day, packed with people.<br/><br/>Ordered the fish dumpling noodles with Superior soup. You can choose either rice noodles or udon. Soup is delicious and not fishy. The fish dumplings are tasty too. You can take sambal, cut chilies in soya sauce and chili sauce.<br/><br/>Ovearall good new place for lunch.

Newly opened in Melbourne, this franchise came from Malaysia and we had that when we were back there twice.. the 4 of us ordered mi xian noodle as this is their signature dish in Malaysia.. they sell Pan Mee too but none of us ordered that so we canā€™t comment on it.. the superior soup that we ordered is full of Chinese cooking wine but the overall soup & noodle is not as good as the one in Malaysia.. maybe we had too high of an expectation of this restaurant & wish to taste what we had tasted back in Malaysia.. portion is not small as the bowl filled with noodles.. we also ordered a trio platter to share (fried bean curd, fried spam finger & Chinese donuts fingers), which was not bad though.. might come back to try the pan mee..

Dry pan mee is very good and authentic in this newly opened Malaysian restaurant. The soup for dry pan mee is a bit too salty for my liking. Their soup mi xian noodle is very tasty too. The menu is a bit complicated, but waitness explained to each table how to order. Restaurant is quite big. Can suit large group of people. Can also reserve for table to avoid disappointment. Their side dishes is must try. Love their fried fish skin. Located at the end of Chinatown. Close to train station and tram. Will come back and try others.

Absolutely fantastic. I donā€™t normally rave about noodles but these were perfect! Authentic, hand-made noodles make all the difference, so much texture, bite, perfectly ā€œal-denteā€ with beautiful clean broth and homely flavour. Interior was lovely & oriental and staff & service was excellent. Portion of one bowl + extra mi xian was huge and enough to leave us completely satisfied and amazed at the price value! Addictive, warming bowl of noodles perfect for any day.

Love this new noodle shop, food is excellent, very friendly staff. Highly recommended. The hot and sour soup is very tasty. Remember to order the wine and added to you soup to bring it to the next level. Definitely will go back

Tried the superior soup pan mee, the noodles are very sticky with gel like liquid soup? Not sure if thatā€™s normal. The soup tasted very fishy, I donā€™t like it..

Good ambience and decor! It was packed when we went for an early lunch. Service was quite good, and the staff were very attentive and friendly. As it was busy, we had to wait for ages for our food. <br/><br/>The superior soup with fish ball and roe was quite yummy. The noodles were also good. The let down was the small portion despite being served in a deceptively big bowl (there were not a lot of noodles). The soup was also nice but was on the salty side... nothing very special to be honest. <br/><br/>Another let down was that they had already ran out of a number of toppings (such as the fish slices and meatballs) even though peak hour lunch has yet to pass. Hope that this issue will become resolved soon.<br/><br/>$13.80 or $14.80 for a bowl of noodle soup is really pricey, especially for this sort of serving portion. Wish they can add more noodles to their noodle soups. <br/><br/>Overall, unfortunately I am not very impressed by the food, but am willing to give another go in the distant future.

Got the superior soup pan mee. I'm a little disappointed with the noodles as it's not as chewy as I thought (though noodles are hand made). šŸ²šŸ²<br/><br/>The superior soup tasted amazing! šŸ˜‹šŸ˜‹ Drank all of it.... and, like how Willtravelforfood17 mentioned, I was so thirsty after! haha seriously too much MSG!!<br/><br/>I think they're still figuring things out and fingers crossed they will improve. haha.

We tried the dry pan mee, the soup pan mee, the keropok lekor and the mixed fried fishballs. The place is self-serve ie collect your own cutlery and sauces, and ordering is also self-ordering using the hand-written order sheet. The soup pan mee was nice, the flavour of the stock enhanced by a shot of Chinese rice wine. I added an onsen egg and porkballs to my noodles which was an extra $4. They gave me 2 meatballs which I thought was kindda stingy. The keropok lekor was similar to what youā€™d get in Malaysia but less salty. The dry pan mee was lacking in seasoning and also presented in a strange way with the noodles and condiments separate - would have preferred it all in a big bowl because when we started mixing it, all the ingredients fell off the plate. Shortly after the meal we became extremely thirsty and suspect they use a lot of MSG. That being said the food is reasonably priced.

We were invited to the launch of Go Noodle House to experience their signature individually cooked noodles. This is a popular chain overseas and we were lucky to try the first branch in Australia for some authentic dishes. We enjoyed the chicken balls and fish cakes before waiting for the main event.<br/><br/>I opted for the thick noodles with dark sauce (not the spicy option!) and added an onsen egg as well as sliced beef. I really enjoyed the flavour of the noodles and the egg was an excellent addition. My dining companion chose the thin noodle option and both dishes came with anchovies, some soup with seafood dumplings and pork mince on the side to mix in as you chose. <br/><br/>I also really liked the snow pear drink I tried. The staff were super helpful and attentive and if you like these traditional style dishes this is the place for you!
