A lovely little breakfast & brunch cafe on Fletcher st in the heart of Essendon. Such a cute little vintage Victorian era home that has been turned into a dainty little cafe. Great for mothers who want to catch up for breakfast after dropping off their kids from school. Great coffee and chai lattes. Some really nice baked goods. Banana bread is always a fave. Meals were tasty!

One of the best cafes in Essendon! The food is fresh, creative and delicious - every single time. My favourite menu items are the Chilli Prawn Scramble, 62 degree eggs and soldiers and their Salmon Poke Bowl. Their coffees are good and service is also excellent.

I have been here many times before and each time the food has been outstanding and the drinks a hit for everyone.
If you're wondering if you should eat here, the answer is yes. We had (non prawn) chilli scramble and omelette and both were TO DIE for my goodness. Couldn't rave about them enough.
(In the past prawn chilli scramble and pancakes also been absolute treats.)
The coffee is delicious, the vibe always quiet and relaxing. Spots in the sun out front are perfect for catchups, and inside seats are comfy and cosy. Service diligent and warm always. An Essendon staple and honestly still a bit of a hidden gem!

The sushi bowl and vegetarian bowl were excellent! So yummy and good size serves. The kids love the shoe string fries. A local favourite!

A cool, autumn morning and I desperately needed some comfort food. Ordered the chilli scramble and a soy mocha. <br/><br/>The coffee really hits the spot and I love that they ask whether it’s weak on just coffee or weak on both.<br/><br/>Chilli scramble was delicious as well and it has two big potato rosti which was yum! I don’t like toast so rosti is just perfect! Only complaint is that I don’t think the chilli is spicy enough. <br/><br/>Such a relaxing environment with friendly staff.

AMAZINGGGG!!! I have no faults and everything was super. Every bite was just an explosion of flavour in my mouth! The staff were really friendly!!! <br/>The beetroot and the egg worked perfected and complimented one another! Beautifully poached as well! I thought it was very wise to have the lemon on the side as I personally needed the acidity<br/>The eggs in the carton with the Parmesan cheese! Amazing combination and presented in a unique and organized fashion!!

A friend suggested we try Copper & Spoon so we did, and had a lovely, tasty and healthy lunch. She had the roast veg bowl and I went for the Salmon poke bowl. Yum! The only issue I have is I thought there was a little too much kimchi in the bowl which I found tended to overpower the more delicate flavours of the other ingredients. The cafe has a fabulous selection of cookery books to peruse - I loved going through a beautiful one on Oaxaca (Mexico). It brought back memories of some of the dishes I tasted when there a few years ago (like fried crickets!)

First time at Copper and Spoon after hearing great things about it from my friends. I ordered the salmon poke bowl which was $19. The dish was on point, fresh and delicious. Portion size was reasonable I ate it all and was bursting full. Service was quick and staff were friendly. Will definitely be back, can’t wait to try other menu items.

What a cute place. Very cosy atmosphere. I had the falafel balls which were amazing, what a great combination of flavours.and my friend had the chicken salad from the specials which was also great but not as good. The staff were lovely and friendly. Would go back for sure!

Super cosy cafe in Essendon. Im always keen to check out local spots rather than travelling far just for some simple brunch. My visit to Copper and Spoon has made me keen to see what else Essendon has. <br/><br/>The food was delicious and clean. We had the Steak bowl, Pumpkin Bruschetta and Corn Fritters. The star of the spread was the Pumpkin Bruschetta it was simple yet delicious and healthy.<br/><br/>Cant wait to check out their pop up dinners one day. And also hope they open on a Sunday !

Food was delicious, house-turned-cafe was very cute and the staff were lovely. We ordered the pumpkin bruschetta and the pork brisket eggs benedict. Both very generous servings and very tasty. Definitely a new local favourite. However am curious as to why not open for Sunday brunches.

Coffee was great and the staff were chatty and great people. The shop fitting and layout is awesome, it looks clean and neat and definitely is something that is needed in the area. I will definitely come back again when I'm in the area as I live in Pascoe Vale which is a short drive from home.

Delicious! What a lovely place to stumble across. We had the seasonal omelette and the brisket benny. Very impressive and good portion size. Great coffee. The house is beauitful with multiple intimate rooms to choose from. We will be back to sample the lunch menu soon. Thanks!

I never knew this placed existed so either it's relatively new or I am not very observant. Good location with the downside being limited parking that isn't "permit zone". I had the pea fritters wirh avocado and goats cheese which was fabulous and hubby has the chili scrambelld eggs which also looks great.

When your coffee is the perfect temperature and delicious and delivered with a smile, you really hope it all continues to be a great experience from then on and this gem of a cafe does not disappoint! Not only was the food amazing (brisket sandwich was superb!) but the service is friendly and the vibe chill. Love this place and I'd definitely go back!

I've known Sang, Chef and Owner for a number of years, as he used to run a place in Richmond. I now travel from Richmond to Essendon just to enjoy his food. The food, whether breakfast or lunch, or one of his always magnificent pop up dinners, is always perfect. He and his wife have created a beautiful place with Copper and Spoon, and the staff always make you feel welcome. I am looking forward to many more visits to this great place.
