Thats My Food

After reading a lot of good things about this restaurant I decided to try this place out and I am very happy that I did. They have really good food, a beautiful seating area, a rooftop, and friendly staff. It is located near the corner of Little Bourke Street and Swanston street. You will have to go to the third floor of the building to reach here. The staff was friendly but the service was a bit slow. One thing that you will notice when you enter the seating area is that they don’t have a kitchen there. They have a small service lift in which the food is prepared in the kitchen and then sent to the seating area where it is served to your table.

The food and ambience is amazing! Love the rooftop overlooking the city! The food was delicious and lived upto our standard! The beef curry was absolutely on point! The crispy fried fish was good too!

Asian fusion in a rooftop bar/restaurant setting. Came here for dinner and we chose the outdoor area. Nice evening view and as the sun set, music from neighbouring places could be heard.

Service was friendly and quick... food is good. Steamed rice on the other hand is too mushy. Apart from this, I personally feel that the desserts are over-priced. We ordered the Creme Brulee and Panna Cotta. Felt that portion is a bit small for the price of $13 each.

Will stick to the mains in future ")

A quaint rooftop bar/restaurant serving Asian Fusion dishes. I particularly loved the Chilli Garlic Prawns. The prawns were massive and the garlic really brought out the flavour of the prawns. I wasn’t a fan of the Tamarind Fish, but the sourness went well with the rice. Quick and efficient service. A great place for lunch and dinner.

Ideal venue for a get together with a rooftop dining and bar, centrally located. Pan Asia food 6-7/10, good presentation, but it can be sharper and more authentic fusion, drinks 8/10 and plenty of it.

I’ve been here on more than one occasion and I enjoy coming here for drinks and a bit of dinner. Love the funky interior of this restaurant and bar, it’s got a nice balcony area for warmer weather. It’s got some great Asian dishes such as curries and baos, and I’m also definitely a big fan of their cocktails.

Went up to the rooftop for their decent happy hour specials and ended up having some food.

The location is great, very central just on the corner of Little Bourke and Swanston.

The rooftop is a seated affair only due to the limited space, however there is a narrow standing bar off to the side. It feels very cramped in general.

The menu is modern Asian fusion, but more leaning towards SE-Asian region.

Crab & Pork Spring rolls - decent balance of crab in the springrolls, which were rolled in rice vermicelli and fried, which gives it loads more crunch. Great textures with the crisp iceberg.

Roti with Thai Curry sauce - the roti was hot and flaky, great for dipping in curries.

Lamb neck in Thai Red curry - same sauce with the roti. The lamb was tender and a nice slice of soft eggplant was also in there. Great with the sticky rice.

Red Piggy is another addition to Melbourne's vibrant modern Asian cuisine, complete with Instagram selfie neon sign, however it's more casual and affordable than the likes of other well known eateries of the same vain.

This place was a great find! Would not have ever discmovered it if not for zomato gold and we were so happy with how it was! The venue is absolutely adorable and the staff are very friendly. The only issue we had was that the entree king prawn barely had any prawns in it which was disappointing.
Highly recommend the other dishes we got though - the crispy pork and tofu bites were amazing and melt in your mouth, the red lamb curry was beautiful and their spring rolls are really good!

Red Piggy is a hidden restaurant on Little Bourke St, between Swanston and Elizabeth St. We came in the afternoon, after lunch hours and there were plenty of seats available. We ordered fried chickens, durian chickens, Vietnamese yee mee, son-in-law eggs and panacotta for dessert. The eggs were our favourite. The rest were quite good but not mind blowing. For Fusion dishes, I must say that the price was very affordable. Each dish was about 12 to 15 dollars. You can order their tasting option so for$30 per person, you can try 5 dishes. The restaurant was quite cosy and they had indoor and outdoor seating. The staff were friendly too. Overall, it was a good experience.

Not terrible. Pretty nice fusion cuisine. Really rate the atmosphere and fitout. Food was decent and what you might expect from an establishment of this calling; Asian fusion. Happy hour seems decent and the seating in summer would be worth a revisit !

We went to Red Piggy during happy hour and started with cocktails. We opted for the $30pp for 5 dishes option on the menu which turned out really good. We got: - Wagyu Brisket - Yee Mee Noodle - Ko Moo Yang - Low and Slow pork belly - Slow cooked Lamb These were all really yum, nothing to really fault them. All of them were a little spicy so if you don’t like spice then I wouldn’t recommend it. The rooftop is lovely and the cocktails are great.

The food at Red Piggy is surprisingly great with a cute little court yard. I loved the curry! With some good food and drink deals to accommodate diversifying satisfaction. The service was prompt with some nice interior magical touches such as neon wings to flaunt your happy belly. Love this hidden gem x

Females aged between 20-35 with an Instagram obsession and a healthy sense of exhibitionism will make this the equivalent of their new dressing room - for there lurks a photo opp around every corner, due to the now-requisite neon signs sporting cheeky statements. The rooftop will be appreciated by city slickers (like tapioca balls in bubble tea, you can never have enough) and while the cocktails could use a bit more punch, offerings such as the lamb neck curry is decent (meat suppleness is evident and appreciated) and the prawn crackers eat like a naughtier fried version of a rice paper roll. Just make sure you don’t spend too much time photographing the latter or it’ll go soggy. The two dishes and cocktail equated to exactly $50 so don’t go expecting cheap eats in Chinatown - but let’s face it - the bells, whistles and future likes for your photographic efforts are also included. Follow This Model Eats A Lot on Facey and Insta. And YouTube, if you like luxury Michelin Star food.
