I pre-ordered a piece of vegan cake to takeaway. The shop turned out be in the super nice, recently renovated Collins Square dining precinct. The cake was rich and moist and perfectly sweet. Who would've thought a pie shop would have such nice vegan sweet options? I've yet to try any savoury items, but now I'm really keen to.

🍴Always look forward to Wednesdays #farmersmarket for my weekly pie indulgence 😍. Even better when there are promos like this week’s 2 for $12 (u.p $8 each) and there was also a new introduction of #applepie. The #applepie is good but some parts were a bit sour (although it’s balanced out by the sweet sugary crust). Didn’t enjoy the #blackberrypie as much today as the crust wasn’t as crisp as usual, and it was a bit too gingery that overpowered the berry flavour. My favourite pie from them is definitely still the #pecanpie

Great place for a quick bite or lunch if you are located in Docklands. Despite having the name Pure Pie they also serve an amazing smashed avocado on sourdough toast, topped with feta and a lemon wedge. Absolutely delicious. Pies, sausage rolls and the pumpkin salad are also all mouthwatering dishes.
Pure Pie is a great little shop!! They make a beautiful coffee, and great takeaway breakfast. I get the Avocado Smash on Sourdough toast, and it is so chocablock full of feta avocado goodness!! A very satisfying breakie. Sometimes I even asked them to put some vegemite on the toast as well which takes it to another level. The pies and pasties look unbelievable - can't wait to try these and potentially buy some cold ones to take home for dinner! Very handy location in Collins Square.
OMG they've gone and done it and I've gone and tried it so there's no going back. Pure Pie has combined my two absolute favourite meat pies into one. They have a beef & Guinness & cheddar pie which was deep and and delicious. Covered with gravy and with a range of great accompanying salads. Oodles of cheese and a tasty chunky meat filling. The perfect combination for a winters day. Although tasty it was a very heavy so my afternoon at work was a lot less productive.
Wow! Some of the best pies going around. That pastry is absolutely to die for. I had the Beef Guinness pie whilst my friend had a sausage roll and what looked like a pretty nice and colorful salad. He said it was one of the best sausage rolls he's had in a while... but that pie. Yum! We were in the city to go to the passport office and stumbled across this hidden gem. Highly recommend. Staff were friendly too which is a plus.
Woah, $9.50 for a pie! This is the most expensive pie I've ever eaten. I got the braised beef, red wine and rosemary pie. With a side of chips and a can of drink is $14.50. Take or leave the chips - nothing special. The pie was really good and definitely big. The meat was deliciously cooked and the flavours of red wine and rosemary were great. Pastry was flaky and delicious. It did get a bit soggy and fall apart a bit towards the end. I really enjoyed the pie, but I'm not convinced it's worth $9.50. It was a tasty lunch, but didn't blow my mind, which I think it probably needs to do for $9.50. Nice place and friendly staff. Service was quick. Heaps of seating in the food court.
The best pies we've had! The pie crust is sooo buttery and tastes amazing. They're very hearty pies made with a lot of love!
The salad is really exquisite as well! I highly recommend this place!

Seriously great food you can tell us made with love and passion. They also have stalls I discovered at Farmers markets in Coburg on a Saturday and Eltham on a Sunday.

The pastry is buttery, crisp and flakey. Everything you want in a good pie pastry.
The filling is generous and flavoursome and the side salads are always fresh.
Definitely try the apple pies. Seriously amazing!
