Review Faces And Places - Melbourne

James Bonin
Decent eggs Benedict. English breakfast tea wasn’t so great but friendly service.

Very friendly. They remember people's names - always a good sign. Their vegetable foccaccia is really good. And their coffee is good too.

The coffee is always perfect, the breakfasts are amazing, and everything is served with a wonderful smile! I leave this cafe feeling happier every time.

This Cafe was a great place for coffee, breakfast +lunch, but was recently sold+now has New management+a New Name, i think. August 2019
The Gluten-Free Foodie
Pre GF: Lovely staff who are very helpful and attentive. Food is always fresh and tasty! Favourite is the bourek and salad or the falafel wrap. Have had great catering from them too.

Unfortunately now that I can’t have gluten there are very limited options on the menu. I have noticed a few GF treats in the display case but all sweet and traditional. I don’t tend to go here much now given allergies.

Good focaccia, good coffee and nice vanilla milkshake. Good service with attentive staff but too small and squashed close to others doesn't appeal. Good for takeaway if too crowded
Alexis Chan
Really good service. The staff is happy to meet your special requireents. She also gave me a spoon of beetroot relish to have a try when I asked the taste of that.

Amazing breakfasts, but also great for a quick snack (toasted croissants are my favorite!) Best coffee on Errol St, and the friendly service makes every meal a pleasure!

Amazing breakfast with really cute couple serving with smiles. The staff were friendly and happy to accomodate changes to menu. Swapped my big breakfast muffins with delicious kibbeh which were hot and fresh. Wish i could be a regular here

This place has their priorities sorted: the food is impecable and delicious; the service, professional yet not snobby; the surroundings are aesthetic and tasteful and clean. Unlike so many other cafés which seem to make their priority the "ambience" or being cliquey or appealing to hipsters, these guys know what is important. What a find, jam packed with baked delights and delicious food, great coffee. My new favourite cafe

Great little place for breakfast. Love the family oriented feel. Good casual breakfast, with generous servings. Only thing this place needs is wifi and I'd give it a 4 out of 5.

The eggs here are the best I've had anywhere in Melbourne and so is the coffee. The food and service is consistent and always warm and helpful.

North Melbourne most reliable and delicious breakfast! Service is remarkable and prices very reasonable! Highly recommended! They even accommodate our lovely little fur baby outside 🐶

Fantastic friendly service. Stopped here for breakfast while staying nearby in Melbourne and ended up coming back the next day too! Very welcoming and cozy atmosphere and the customer service is top notch. The breakfast menu was extensive and all 4 meals we tried over the 2 days were delicious. One of the few places also I have found who know how to properly make soy milk coffee! :) worth a visit any day.

As weekly customers we absolutely love this cute little cafe! You haven't LIVED if you haven't tried their famous BLTs, the BLAT is firmly our favourite. Rest of the menu is simple and always satisfying. Coffee is excellent and stands up to other more renowned cafes nearby. The owners are gorgeous and treat you like family and we thoroughly enjoy every visit we make. Thanks for feeding us every week!

Yummy brekky. Had the mash avocado with feta and a poached egg on top with yummy toast. Highly recommend!. Also my son loved the gingerbread man. Soft and so good.

Very pleasant!. Quick, friendly, tasty brunch. Breakfast came really quickly. Coffee was very good as well.

Breakfast with a twist. Dropped in for an unscheduled breakfast with a friend. I had the Middle Eastern Feast and she had the the eggs benedict which I tried. it was simply brilliant. The eggs bene' was fantastic. The hollandaise sauce was perfect and the toppings crisp and fluffy. done well. The lebanese sausage and haloumi in the feast were delicious. I could swear the sausages were home made and the haloumi was prefect. With a side of grilled mushroom, tomatoes and muffins, a glass of orange juice, a coffee and milk shake and the eggs bene' all for under $45 , we'll definitely be back.

ONLY THING MISSING...they really need aircon' inside and cold water, not tap water.

Yum yum. Amazing, super-tasty foccacias! And nice, friendly service.
(no high chairs for our little one though :( only minus)

Warm service a great food made with love!

A great place. This place is really good. I love their breakfasts, especially the BELTA. The coffee is very good too. And the service from the staff/owners is good and friendly. :)

Friendly and genuine. This place is only a skip away from work and damn if Tony and his wife aren't the nicest and most hard working people on Errol street. Thumbs up for their falafel wrap. Love the pickles.
Ollie
Awesome. Best BLT in Melbourne hands down. Every component is perfect and they also give you the option of crispy bacon.

Good Stuff Here. This place is a cracker. Try the lamb balls and the curried potato patties. Coffee is fabulous too. Service is an example of what every other cafe should be aiming for. Forget the Hot Poppy (if they haven't already forgotten you), this is North Melbourne's best.

The owners are so welcoming and friendly. Genuinely happy to see you and so nice to little kids.

I like faces & places because the breakfast menu is great and the eggs are really tasty.

This is my favourite place to get eggs in the whole of Melbourne! The owners are so lovely and friendly, I highly recommend Faces and Places!

Stopped in while using the laundry and had a great coffee and lovely piece of caramel slice and my lady had a chai latte and lemon pie which she loved. Friendly staff and great value, definitely going back.

Best of the best. Faces and places is one of the few places left that actually cares about its customers satisfaction not only for the money but because they pride them self on it.
The owners Alarmi and Tony are a husband-wife team that are genuinely friendly and down to earth- on top of that they will get to know you personally and will actually remember your name and orders off by heart - impressive if you ask me!
The coffee is far the best i've ever had - amazing! and I've been to close to a hundred places around melbourne!
Faces and places is the best for a seedy sunday breakfast or a coffee on work breaks and Errol street is just the cutest cup of tea.
Thank you for everything guys!

Great coffee and fantastic service!

Great food & service. We've been going to Faces and Places for the past few weekends for their excellent breakfasts. The Eggs Benedict and bacon & eggs are delicious. It is superior to any other cafe on Errol St as it is unpretentious and the staff actually remember to give you menus (I'm talking about you Hot Poppy).

I have to say the owner makes the best mocha I've ever had. Rich and delicious - so many people seem to think they can pass off a tasteless cappuccino as a mocha. Overall we've really enjoyed eating there!

Faces and Places Cafe is basically the only cafe I go to now, it's so so good! I love the owners and the workers, they're all so friendly, great fresh food too. Make sure you try their BLT! I've been getting that since day 1 and will never stop! They're addictive! :)
JenShields
Completely spilt on Faces and Places, one the service is great - really really friendly owner / workers BUT the menu is very limited, we found the food quite ordinary and it was the same price as other Errol Street cafes yet half the size! I like to support locsl so i still pop in for takeaway coffee and a friendly chat
Discerning Foodie
Great coffee, perfect for takeaways

My friends and I go here every weekend for their lovely breakfasts! Unlike most of Errol st this cafe is unpretentious and the owners Tony and Alami are some of the nicest cafe owners I have ever met- they are always willing to help and are really friendly. I usually have the lentil and rice dish with salad it's vegan and AMAZING my house mate is addicted to the choocka foccacia and her bf loves the eggs Benedict. If you're looking for a friendly old school cafe with rustic food and REALLY cheap prices one here! There coffee is never bitter and neither are the people
