Melbourne has the perfect weather for a hot cuppa!
I got off the bus and head straight to get my hands on a hot cup of coffee. The almond laden croissant looked super tempting, I tried to resist but gave in. Whatte great combo to kickstart the day! Yum 🤤
So I was in the area and could smell the strong coffee aroma, so I decided to grab my all time favourite,, skinny latte. The staff were friendly and quite talkative and simply "served with a smile" which I love and the love was most certainly made in the coffee, just a bit overpriced for my liking.
Heading to Wangaratta and came a across this little gem! had the spinach omelette on toasted and Almond milk latte and was Fantastic.

Interesting place for people-watching. Degani is not fancy, but it's reliable for decent coffee and adequate pastries. I was happy with the flat white and almond croissant I had here one day before taking off on a train for a mid-morning psych ward shift in Epping. if you like people-watching, this location is good because it's full of travellers utilising the Skybus and train system. I like to observe folks on their trips; to see who looks lost, who's having a good time on their journey, how much luggage they're lugging, etc. It makes me flash on the times I've been passing though Melbourne. I just wish this Degani was open early enough for the pre-dawn days when I have to catch trains, and that it wasn't so hard to find (tucked way back behind Hungry jack's and Pie Face on the north side of Southern Cross station.)
This is located at the entrance of Southern Cross Sky Bus terminal. We wanted a quick breakfast. We ordered flat white coffee and Almond Croissant. The service was good.
After a night at the cricket and needing to be up early to catch our train to Echuca, the experience at Degani Cafe was first class. The Gentleman behind the counter allowed my son to create his own special bacon and cheese roll, with an extra piece of bacon and my roll was delicious also with the addition of tomato relish. A nice hot and well made coffee just topped off the whole experience. We will definitely be back again.
Delicious breakies & kind service - l always spend some time here waiting for my country trains. believe it or not it's quite relaxing. Tried an omelette today and it was delicious, quick and no fuss. Clean and tidy tables. Thank you!
