Review Sargon Cafe - Melbourne

I regularly pick up coffee at this joint on my way to work. Fast service. Good coffee too.

Nice coffee at top end of Collins Street. Coffee is made well and there are plenty of sweet and savoury choices if you get hungry.

Wow wow wow! If you are looking for good old fashioned service where if you are a regular, are greeted by name as you walk through the door and are made to feel welcome from your first interaction, regular or stranger.....look no further! This guys has nailed it! Add to that good coffee and delicious savoury pumpkin and cheese muffin and your day if off to a great start! I will most definitely be back!

Easily the best coffee place within a hundred metres. Which is saying a lot given the ten other baristas on this small stretch of Collins Street between Spring & Exhibition. Good service. Good coffee.

Best coffee in Melbourne hands down! I love the service as everybody knows your name and order. Bring your own cup to offset your carbon footprint ⚡☕

Fantastic coffee with outstanding service, I will always make sure I come by whenever I'm in the area. Extra happy that I could have lactose free milk. Thank you!

"Coffee" I got was just a cup of scalded milk. What's the point of a coffee place that can't make coffee?

Nice coffee! 😊 It would be good if they had a medium size coffee as well as theres only small and large.

In this tranquil but busy cafe I enjoyed a quick pre work sit down breakfast. I ordered the spinach & cheese omelet wrap which arrived piping hot and was very tasty, this was so good, I’m going to add it to my regular breakfast rota. I also ordered a strong almond latte, which was served hot and strong.

This is a cafe located in an office building. The service was ok.

I asked for a strong skinny latte and I paid for an extra shot. Unfortunately my coffee was more of a flat white without any milk froth.

The coffee was watery, milky and awful really! It’s probably one of the worst coffees I’ve had in some time and unfortunately I didn’t have time to take it back!

And finally what’s with all the open milk bottles on the counter??

Nice coffees which are milky, smooth and well steamed. The wraps are nicely toasted for the crispiness whilst the egg and bacon is okay. Nice service and friendly staff.

This was my place for a good mocha. They've got a very cozy spot with a very few seating places. The mocha was spot on and alot of people at the queue got themselves a muffin which I hope to try out later! :)

This place has the worse matcha latte ever. Seems too diluted and watery. Tried the mocha and it doesn't taste right either. I'm sorry I have tried to like it but can't.

Walked past here and noticed this small cafe and thought I try out there chai. First of all, the prices are the best! I ordered a SOY JUMBO chai for $5. Typically nowadays I find myself paying at least $5 if not $6 for a regular soy chai so to find this price was amazing. Having said that though, it also wasn’t the best chai I’ve had but could be because it was jumbo and hadn’t brewed long enough. Staff was very friendly and will certainly return
The Dear Luncher
A pretty surprising place, this Sargon joint. In what seems like just a small desk from the outside looking in, when you make it inside 567 Collins you eventually notice that there is a bit of depth to this shop-front. The coffee is excellent. The Dear Luncher could not fault the long macchiato he consumed the other day. On top of that, the value for money is possibly the best in the area. For $7.50 get your coffee and a very generous ham, egg, tomato and cheese wrap. The wrap was crepe-like, superb. The muffins, quiches, pastries and other assorted breakfast items on display looked tremendous. Sargon of Collins Street Empire is conquering all and sundry. Service with smiles and very prompt. This is the kind of experience The Dear Luncher enjoys.
Taeyeon's Hamster
Sargon is one of the very few places around here with such good deal where a small coffee goes for $3.50 whilst a medium is $4. When I mean a medium it's much bigger than your average so it's almost like a large to me. Taste wise it's on the borderline of ok I can taste the coffee to.... milky. If one extra shot more then it'd be a not bad choice for those who prefer a moderate strength.

Two Sheds
All fine here. Nicely fitted out space at the top of leafy Collins Street. The coffee was nicely made but slightly underpowered. My cornbread was lovely and toasted and buttered with precision. Service was lovely. Pleasant and attentive. This is a good option up this end of town.
The Swine
The Swine loves great coffee and Sargon is another of the Swine's top coffee places. Related to quality Collins Street cafe - Buddabah (which is next door) it's no surprise this place has great staff, an array of food and desert options, along with a very special coffee blend. This makes Sargon another coffee stop to check out. Very nice. SWINE APPROVED!
