I am a massive coffee snob -MASSIVE. I rate the coffee on a world scale. Equal best place for coffee in Melbourne , which means it’s one of
The best places in the world . Well Done, I have been coming for years and it is consistently does awesome coffee.
Ok, cafe/coffee snobs, don't judge. I was in the mood for a simple bacon and egg roll. Cafe 34 is fast, cheerful and cheap. Some not so common characteristics for a CBD eatery nowadays.
Food ordered:
Bacons and egg roll, latte, roast veggie salad (for later). The place was quite busy, and that was good because it meant the food was fresh made. Not sitting for days under a heat lamp. The sandwich was great and hit the spot. The coffee was surprisingly ok, I dot usually order one at these takeaway joints, but $5 for a roll and coffee couldn't pass it up. The coffee is not specialty by any means but it did have a nice bite and dark chocolate tones. The winner was the salad, such great flavour! And they don't skimp on portions.
Ambience:
It's a busy corner spot on queen st, but all the staff were smiling and helpful.
I may not come back as I don't frequent the area, but if your looking for decent and fast lunch options, stop in.
Quick, cheap, tasty lunch option. Caters mainly to workers in the city. Also good breakfasts and coffee. It's not 3 star Michelin dinning, but that's not why you would come here.
