Love Sushi & Nori! I come here often for lunch and the sushi is super fresh and tasty. I usually order the red salmon pack or sometimes tuna.
I've heard the sushi train here is pretty good and it's always very busy, so I'll have to try that next time.
Been here a few times now and honestly food keeps getting better! I love how the sushi train here doesn’t get boring as new dishes always pops up. Probably one of my favourite sushi train places in Melbourne.
Highlights: tuna & avo tartare is my fav! Love the nigiris and karage udon is so good for $8 I’d happy pay for that.
Lowlights: its a little pricey and probably pricier than most sushi trains but I’d happily pay for it once a while.
Overall recommend coming here :)
Has quite a number of different sushi for you to choose :) the waitresses are really nice and polite. It’s way more interesting compare to Sushi Boto
Will come back for:
+ Karaage Chicken Bento box
This place serves great value bento boxes that are generally tasty, healthy and beautifully presented. The combination I had was a generous portion for the price and really satisfying for a quick lunch. Only comment may be that some of the items were on the cold side, but forgivable given the volume these guys are preparing for, for the lunch masses. Highly recommended!
Exceptional service. Quick, prompt and attentive. Staff are also super friendly. Nice ambience and great decor for a small food court in Collin square. Portions are on point, great as I was craving sushi! Thanks guys
I came here and had a quick lunch with their pre-made bento boxes. There are many flavours and all looked really healthy and tasty. The salmon bento box included a piece of fried prawn, a gyoza, and a good selection of vegetables (including a crumbed mushroom). It's really great to have such a variety in the vegetables.
I am so happy to find sushi train in Melbourne. Not bad but not mind-blowing. People, like me (?), who are used to Japanese sushi trains can find this eatery a bit "westernised"? May be it is just not for me. I found brown rice in sushi a bit weird and too chewy for the texture of sushis, though I get that it can be a healthy option. Also, I crave for some hot green tea to go with sushis. iced water with sushis? Hmm... I hope they offer at least self-serve green tea powder and hot water tap.
Sushi train for lunch is something that seems to have largely disappeared throughout the city which is why I was so glad to see a resurgence, in the recently expanded food precinct in Collins Square. It was like an old friend just turned up unannounced. This friend has a great variety of sushi/ nori doing the rounds. Traditional greetings when sitting down and leaving. My only complaint is that they have the seating designed for what must be the skinniest people on the planet and taking up much less room than myself and many of my dining buddies which means we sit on an end or we don't sit at all. Train plates comes in only two price categories so no need to worry about too many coloured plate combos. I found I need at least one premium and 2-3 standard dishes to fill me up. They do bento boxes as well but I have always gone the train. Wonder if they will ever do an unlimited sushi train deal?
Grabbed lunch here today. I had a tuna and avocado roll and a spicy chicken roll.
The tuna was ok, but the chicken had gristle in it making it chewy ana not the best.
And what’s w the cheap soy sauce?? The soy sauce used to be dark brown now it’s almost transparent. I’ve noticed this a few times lately.
Mmnn I think I need a break from sushi for a while lol
Amazing sushi to takeaway and also the sushi train is really good! Highlights were the seared tuna and the vermicelli crispy prawns. Cannot wait to come back again. Everything tasty so fresh and all the flavours well balanced.
