Calling all sweet tooths. Tella balls dessert bar has opened in Melbourne Central and their desserts will have you dreaming of Nutella for days to come. Their specialty tella ball donut is soft and fluffy and filled with Nutella but just in case you’re not a fan of Nutella they have lots of other flavours too. The menu has interesting desserts that spark your curiosity like dessert kebabs, dessert pasta, dessert fish and chips and donut fries. If you’re looking for a sweet overload this place will do the trick.

Rating is for their Nutella donut.

The doughnut was soft but doesnt give you that spring when you bite into it as fresh doughnuts should. The nutella filling is inconsistent as one end of my donut had no filling but the other side was full of it, and when there's that much filling I felt like it overpowered the donut itself. The sugar coating on the outside didnt do much for the donut in my opinion. Overall a nice snack but I think I will prefer other donuts before coming back to Tella Balls.

Nutella milkshake with Raffaelo doughnut 😍 Thickshake would have given a better balance and made the drink more of an experience. Dingy location of this place in a low quality food court lets it down.

If you got a sweet tooth, this is gonna be your paradise! I’ve been excited about visiting this outlet ever since I read about its opening in Melbourne!
The menu has a lot of options on it, and it took us a while to decide upon what to order, since everything looked and sounded delicious. We ended up ordering the Kinder Bueno pancakes, Tellatam Waffles, and the Tella-ball shakes. The food arrived looking delicious as, and I probably would’ve taken more pictures if the chocolate-lover in me could wait a bit before indulging in these oh-so-beautiful creations.
The shakes were delicious! Not too thick, but not too milky either, I think they balanced out well. The only thing I wasn’t too fond of were the Tella balls themselves, which seemed a little dry and chewy to me. The Tellatam waffles were really nice, crispy and thick, loaded with chocolate. If you’re a Tim-tam lover, this should definitely be your thing. However, for me, the pancakes were a standout. The Nutella, the icecream and the Kinder and the pancakes, it was a heaven to me.
Personally, if you’re confused between ordering waffles or pancakes, I’d say choose the pancakes unless you have a really huge appetite. This place is definitely gonna have me visiting over and over again till I probably try everything on their menu, haha.

WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE. A cafe dedicated entirely to everyone's favourite chocolatey hazelnut spread? I was in heaven. You can actually order a chocolate lasagne (and a slider, but I've seen that one before) like where does that brilliant idea even stem from. I'd just eaten breakfast so I settled on a Nutella cronut, a Nutella pancake stack topped with Nutella ice cream and a golden gaytime doughnut just to mix it up. I have nothing more to say other than I fear I will legitimately be here every week

Nutella is the hero at this new dessert bar which will definitely appeal to your sweet tooth with it’s amazing chocolate filled creations, signature tella balls and icecream...

A dessert lover's dream! NSW-based business, Tella Balls Dessert Bar, has expanded to Melbourne, and sweet tooth's are rejoicing! It can be a little difficult to find, hidden deep inside Melbourne Central, within the lower ground food court right next to the train station entrance/exit. Although the ambience of this food court isn't very complimentary to the amazing offerings at Tella Balls, you have to look past that and focus on their eye-catching desserts... which isn't too difficult!

Lit up in bright lights, their range of donuts lining the front cabinet is impressive, as is their range of ice cream flavours, available to order on their own, or as an addition to any of their dessert range. They are famous for their 'tella balls' (i.e. Nutella-filled doughnuts), which have a decent amount of Nutella within their fluffy doughnut exterior. From waffles, to pancakes, crepes, milkshakes and even deceiving 'savoury' items, you can get everything your sweet soul desires.

Our picks would be: Tellabab (a dessert 'kebab', filled with whipped cream, Nutella, strawberries, bananas and shaved chocolate), Oreo Pancakes, Kinder Bueno Waffle, any of their milkshakes, and the Pastatella (an addictive dish of crepes cut into strips, like pasta, topped with chocolate sauce, ice cream, and shaved chocolate as the 'cheese'). Very creative in their offerings, this is unlike any other dessert bar in Melbourne. Though, be prepared to bring a few people with you to share, and take heed that the quality of the ingredients and the serving sizes mean that this won't be the cheapest dessert you will buy.

After several stores opened in Sydney and the Gold Coast, the new crazy dessert trend, Tella Balls has finally decided to open its first store in Melbourne! This is a must-go for anyone who LOVES nutella – seriously cannot think of a better place. The desserts are drenched with thick and rich chocolate sauce, perfect for those who need an immediately satisfying sugar dose. Featuring an eclectic menu of creative desserts, such as Nutella Pasta, Fish’n’Chips, and Golden Gaytime Lasagne, Tella Balls surprised us with their impressive ability to combine both aesthetics with quality taste.

It costed me $22.00 for a full desserts for 2 person. We bought a waffle burger. It was filling and every bite was just yummy. An absolute value for money and an highly recommended place hiding in middle of CBD outside Melbourne Central Lower ground food court.

Finally visited the new Melbourne store. I didnt really like the location as its on the ground level where the food court is. I feel like if it had its own venue it would of been better. The owner and staff are really lovely. The nutella slurpee and doughnuts were incredible! I also loved the kebab which is a donut shaped kebab filled with nutella, bananas and strawberries (enough for 2 people) and I also loved the waffles (enough for 3 people) and crepes. They were perfectly cooked! I found the Pastatella way too sweet so I wouldnt recommend getting that.

The ultimate nutella destination has landed in Melbourne, and it is called Tella Balls Dessert Bar.

Right next to the Melbourne central station, Tella Balls is a contemporary dessert bar that specialises in all things Nutella! With nutella shakes, donuts, pancakes, crepes and waffles, this place is a must visit for an nutella fanatic. Not only do they serve up the traditional desserts, but Tella Balls have also created dishes with their take on a Nutella dessert kebab, Tella lasagne and good old Tella fish and chips (consisting of fried ice cream, and donut chips).

If you like Nutella then you must visit this dessert bar. The “tella” is short for Nutella and the “ball” is representative of one of their signature dishes. Don’t visit this place alone though because you’ll need to share these giant, sweet, decadent desserts!
They have a big range of doughnuts that you can quickly pick up if you’re on the go. Think Nutella and m&m’s, ferrero rocher etc
We tried the Cookies and Cream Waffle which was super sweet but delicious. With real Oreo biscuits, Icecream, loads of Nutella sauce and a huge, thick, fluffy waffle. I also tried the Club was their take on a pancake club sandwich. 4 pancakes stacked high and topped with vanilla Icecream, Nutella, strawberries, bananas and nuts. These were also layered in between the pancakes (club sandwich style!). Very decadent but perfect for a treat!
The Nutella milkshake was also yummy!

Went here with my wife before the theatre. It’s just tucked into the lower ground food court which didn’t look like much.
On order was:
Nutella donut
Tellabab

I’ll start with the Nutella Donut. First bite very dry and just dense. Was really hard to eat, I think I drank more water than anything to just try to wash it down. I couldn’t continue eating it after just one bite. I looked over to my wife and she had the same issue .. we both just left our donuts there with just one bite. My tip: Save your $5. To be fair I think the donuts are dry dense and stale tasting because they have been there for a while and are not fresh.

second order: Telebab.
Their take on a Nutella Kebab. This was massive and for $10 worth every penny. I have to say it was sweet but hey it’s a dessert bar for a reason!
So let’s break each part down: the donut;
Was nice a warm and had that nice crunch on the outside soft in the inside. Could really taste the oil as it was see fried? But I don’t think it was meant to be eaten by itself, with all the elements: Nutella, white and milk chocolate shavings, banana and strawberries and cream the oil wasn’t that noticeable. If anything the donut itself kinda absorbed the Nutella and cream and just helped tie it in together.
The banana and strawberry gave it a nice freshness which was nice between all the sweetness.
Overall the taste brought me back to Max Brenner’s tutti frutti waffles. But since this dish is easily a share dish you are saving yourself an extra $10 in comparison to max brenners $20 for two waffles.

HOLY MAC! A completely Nutella based restaurant right in the middle of Melbourne Central!

Definitely take friends and loose pants when you hit up this joint. Doughnuts, Nutella lasagne, pancakes, waffles, sliders, shakes, PASTA! And all of it is sweet.

This is definitely the place to stop if that sweet tooth is callin’. We helped ourselves to the pancakes and the Oreo waffle which was easily covered with half a jar of the good stuff!! Can’t talk it up enough, just wish I had another friend to help me finish it off because they are huge meals!

Love it and will definitely be back!
