Review Glenny Kebabs - Glen Waverley - Melbourne

We came here in the off chance and we were not disappointed. The food was a bit cold but the taste was good. Such a generous portion. Service was also great definitely going back.

Ive been told by 10+ people that this is the best HSP in town. So after years I finally gave it a try. The experience truly did not disappoint. It has variety of fries: waffle, fries, sweet potato. And the meat portion are generous. We ordered their Glenny Twins, which is HUGE ! If it wasnt for the distance, definitely have this for supper weekly.

Whats better than yummy Kebabs and Dessert Snack Pack? It’s Mi Goreng loaded with chicken kebab meat!! At just $10 for the Mi Goreng, I’d say is an awesome budget meal! We tried their Middle East Feast which includes (lightly seasoned)brown rice, their signature meat (we had lamb and chicken mix), green salad, fresh tabouli, 2 dips, and a selection of bread. We added chips as well into the pack . We absolutely loved this pack. The rice was mildly spiced with with cumin, which I love🥰 The meat was tasty and tender. Also loving the turkish bread included. For desserts we had Dessert Snack Pack which contained Donuts bites with Nutella sauce and M&M’s, Donut Fries and Jam donuts. Talking about indulgence, this pack is your ultimate sweet tooth indulgence! Highly recommended Kebab place with unique items in the menu. Loving this place!

Since my last visit, the food quality went down, so much so that I will not eat here in the future. The chairs and general sitting area looks good, however, they are very uncomfortable. The payment system, whilst it looks good, it forces you indirectly to leave a tip. I don't appreciate the forced hand. I left 2 stars as the Jenga game was a nice touch.

I would always visit Glenny Kebabs everytime i go to Melbourne. I love love loveee their HSP, probably the best in Melbourne (i’ve tried a lot of places). One of their best selling point is their fries, their so crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. I always ordered their HSP with mix meat (Lamb & Chicken) with Holy Trinity Sauce 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 Thank you for always satisfying my late night cravings! Never a dull moment here and always worth the trip 👍🏻

Finally it Happened..!! 💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼 All the way travelled 389kms 🚙🚙 just to visit my beloved Glenny Kebabs. 😍😍Luckily met Asad Syed & Manager who made my day memorable & Beautiful with his kind, welcoming gesture by offering desserts & Water.. 💐💐 Planned to start with migoreng bowl 🍜and then a kebab 🌯& a HSP 🥡. But super exicitement made my tummy full. Absolutely Delicious Food 😋 Excellent Staff 👌🏻 Reasonable Price 💵 Huge Quantity 🌯🌯 Beautiful Ambience 🎉🎊🎉 Wide Range of Menu📋 What else do I need.. Absolutely Amazing day.. Thank You Glenny Kebabs. Keep Rocking as you are.. 👏🏻👏🏻 💯 % Highly Recommended.. Last but not least that Decadent Churros, can’t forget the flavour of it.. so Yummy.. 🥰🥰😘

Had the most scrumptious loaded fries topped with Tabouleh and the Middle eastern box was bursting with authentic flavours and was generous in quantity for 2 adults. Loved every bite of it!!

Long wait. Rude staff and then they give you half burnt kebab left over. Turkish bread was not fresh who knows how old it was. I heard a lot about this place but sorry my first experience was terrible. Won’t recommend and eat here again.
GeorgiePuddingPie
Absolutely terrible. Ordered salad on my gym pack and my whole meal (chips and chicken) were swimming in balsamic. The lettuce was old, wilted and basically just revolting. I ordered garlic sauce and bbq in my meal and was lucky to get a teaspoon in total. It was inedible. Asad syed call me a Karen, try to come back with something to justify but it was simply gross. Do NOT recommend.

Takeaway Large Mixed HSP with the classic trinity of sauces, added cheese.

Very timely and like any other HSP, it had a great amount of kebab meat. All cuts were consistent, fatty and covered in generous volume of sauce. About 50% of the chips were crispy, but the rest were unimpressive. Taste was all in all great, just do note that the cheese is minimal and quite tasteless in the grand scheme of things.

Amazing food, the staff are so friendly and will to help with anything you need. The best part is value for money really good sized portions, bang for buck spot on

I was so excited to try this place after the hype but I was disappointed. It took over 30 mins for 2 kebabs which I thought was a good sign as they were super busy. I had the lamb kebab and it had hardly any meat in it, the meat was old chewy and fatty. Also had a side of chips which were so cold they were dry.

I often frequent here when ever I come to Glen and have had no issues the past couple times. But this time for some reason the service I received was terrible as well as the food. I ordered 2 Migoreng HSPs and 1 regular size chips and they did not live up to the regular standard I usually receive. Noodles were over cooked and meat was very bland as well as the chips. I waited 40 minutes to receive my food and it was not a busy night. 20 minutes went by and I asked how they were tracking on my order and the guy at the front informed me they were making it now. As I looked in the back I saw there was no sense of urgency as some of the workers were chatting away and leaning on the bench while only a 2 other workers were making the food. Another 20 minutes go by and I ask if my order is ready and to my disbelief I was told there was a mix up and my order is being made right now. Extremely poor service on Glenny Kebab’s behalf and has now lost a loyal customer. Would not be recommending this place in the future.

Finally got try out Glenny Kebabs.
Big fan of having a pineapple option, was a great addition.

Wasn't a huge fan of the onions. Personally I think they should be raw or caramelized.

Meat was great, but felt like there should have been more meat and sauce.

Decided to give sweet potato chips a go in a HSP since I've never seen it before and while the chips were good, I will be sticking to normal chips for future HSPs.

Overall a solid post workout meal and would go back for a standard HSP with pineapple. Glad I finally got to tick it off my list.

4.5

Moving inside the cinema area I was still so surprised how busy it was at midnight! I love the fact they have jenga on the tables and the vibes
We ordered the mixed hsp and it was so yummy! We added on cheese and it was the perfect late night snack
Fat Sushi
Came here for a thousand times. The best hsp I have ever had. Big portion with tender meat and crispy fries. They are also very generous with the sauces. If you haven’t had it yet, you must give it a try! What I usually order:
Hsp with lamb + cheese + all three sauces (bbq, garlic & chilli)
Sheila Monalisa
Tried a lot of HSP places but this is the best! Ordered both lamb and chicken and both so good!!! Although the place is quite far as i live in the city. And you cant really order it thru ubereats which is sad.

We decided to try Glenny Kebab’s new store in The Glen. Although we like the idea of an indoor store, this venue wasn’t our favourite as it’s still directly under the skylight so it still gets very hot, and the chairs are too tall for the tables so you might find yourself hunched over quite a bit. However, the kebabs here are still really good, and the HSP hasn’t changed either - well seasoned crispy chips and the perfect sauce to meat ratio. Still very much worth a try!
Cookielessvee
Glenny kebab has moved into the glen. A lot more options to choose from. We ordered the Large hsp with lamb and bbq sauce. Crisp seasoned chips but some were soggy. Juicy meats and drizzled with bbq. Lots of seats but not enough.

Food: 3/5
Service: 4/5
Ambiance: 4/5
Minh Phan
great place to get a halal snack pack here, the food is always cooked to perfection as always. Will defs come back
Glenny Kebabs is a friendly neighbourhood food truck that serves a whooping HSP. Their service is polite and fast and I am happy to know that they are opening a bigger franchise inside Village Cinemas so that their customers can sit and stay for longer.
S Zinger
Nice joint for kebabs hsp or just chips when you’re feeling like something indulgent at night. The chips are always fresh and crispy, and they have a good seasoning to them. The hsp here is also tasty and they offer melted cheese which isnt typically an option at other hsp joints I’ve been to.
Food Poet
Prior to this particular visit, I’ve had many hsps in the past, however this this time, I took on one of Glenny Kebabs’ kebabs.

The kebab I had, contained a mix of lamb and chicken, with the sauces sweet chilli, garlic and bbq.

I had this thing delivered to me impromptu wrapped and insulated in a scarf for an hour before I could finally get to the thang, and it was still warm enough to be enjoyed and considered a hot meal thanks to the handy foil lining inside their bags.

The first thing I thought to myself after opening my package was how monstrous this things was, as long as my forearm which elicited a gasp of anticipation as I was hungry.

I think I demolished the thing in 5 minutes, it was good, meaty, saucy, fatty, everything I was looking for after a long day. A good experience for my first kebab with deviated slightly from the hsps I am familiar with with vegetables which I actually enjoyed.

This experience gave me a positive first experience with kebabs.

I do not know how many times i’ve been here in my life. But i am addicted with their HSP. Another good things from this shop is, their food is really really cheap with really good quality. Better come before 12am because they’ll close the shop in 12am sharp.
Mark O'Loughlin
They just gave the worst kebab I've ever had. It was tiny and had almost no meat in it. It was essentially an expensive salad sandwich. It took them forever to make it too. Their HSP's are still good though.
Isabelletan
So far the best HSP I’ve tried in Melbourne. The chips were not soggy at all despite being soaked in sauces. They also added cheese in, which not a lot of kebab stores do. Chicken and lamb were both tender and juicy.
Sumaiya Rizvi
Finally we got to try Glenny Kebabs which was on the best kebabs of Melb list, the hype was real and there was a big crowd waiting, finally when we got to taste it, we knew it was good! We tried the lamb and the mix!
Melbourne Food Spotter
Glenny Kebabs! Pretty impressive I must say. They have one of the tastiest kebabs I've tried and there chips are seasoned differently which is nice considering every other kebab shops always have the same seasoning. The staff is extremely friendly and prices are reasonable. Worth a shot if your in Glen Waverley.
Carly Grummisch
Wanted to try a lamb kebab, but when I saw they don’t have real lamb, just that weird disgusting loaf that so many places do, why? It doesn’t even taste like lamb. Opted for chicken.
Kebab was very bland, no flavor at all, so disappointing.
Plus a 20 minute wait with terrible music blaring.
Will not be coming back.
Nay Nay
Finally been to the famous 'Glenny Kebabs' had a HSP pack for a change and it was great idea. Chips and meat with some sauce! The meat tasted quite fresh here
Asena
Mediocre. Not worth the hype.
Garlic sauce doesn’t have any kick in it..
sweet potato fries were burnt as! Plus they charge like seven dollars for them which for that price they could at least try not to turn them into charcoal...
Decent salad and meats after choosing the gym pack.
But falafel kebab itself pretty dry and tasteless.
Not the best place to come but if you’re starving and driving by it’s okay.
Yvonne Leow
My hsp had very dry meat and I asked to have three sauces and chilli flakes in it but it was very disappointing that I got more chilli flakes than the sauces.
Princeofharts
Good, reliable food. It’s genuine, yummy food which never fails to satisfy. Can’t go wrong here! Great service too to top it all off. I’m so relieved Caltex’s efforts failed to close this down.
T
Really satisfying HSP, large kebabs also. Not too expensive and you get heaps for what you pay for. Always has heaps of people lining up, so make sure you have time to wait. Have to wait a while for the food to come out, but it’s worth it. Nice staff and atmosphere. Highly recommend for a late night snack.
James Heffernan
Best HSP to the max there was
no fault only perfection, if you have one day too live this place has to be on your bucket list or you'll regret it for the rest of your life
Lakshay Arora
Okay okay like not so good not so bad. Just satisfactory kebabs but I like the car show that they do on Wednesday. That's something good. Adios !
Maki Eats
Go to place always for cheap and good kebabs!🤤 Love the consistency, its always the same if not better everytime! 😲The best part would be the crispy chips 🍟that stays ever crispy underneath layers of meat & cheese! Their sweet potato fries are also a must try when visiting! 🍠Do note when coming here that their minimum eftpos is 12!😔
Yassen Haq
No idea why this place is so famous. Just an average kebab store with nothing special. No idea what this hype is all about. Also the food is okay-okay. :-(
Nakita Sam
I ordered Glenny Kebab for the first time. I ordered HSP wrap and was very impress with the flavour. Eating the wrap wasn't as messy as the kebab wrap I've ordered from different kebab places. Thank You for the delicious wrap! Will come back again soon
Rayid Khan
Went to this place yesterday and I was not happy with my food. It looked like it was microwaved and quite spicy as well even after mentioning to keep the spices low.
Marjorie Wilson
Food is good but for a place that claims they're big kebab critics you'd think they'd actually have REAL lamb not the cheap stuff. Chicken is good but DON'T bother with their fake lamb
Saobz
Grabbed some kebabs and a regular HSP with bbq, garlic sauce with chilli sauce in the side. Ordered around 7pm and the wait was around 30mins. Honestly, the kebabs were quite standard but the ratio from salad to meat was good, and the pricing was 👍🏼👍🏼. The HSP was fresh and hot, only down side was the chips being too salty for our liking. Still, service was 10/10 for such a busy night. Normally wouldn’t bring this up, but on our particular night they called out an order over 4 times in 15mins and no one came. After 20mins someone came, complained that the food was “cold” and blamed the workers. They handled themselves well and remade the food, but the disrespect from the customer was not okay :( Hats off to everyone in there
Bodybuilder Eats
Just average Kebab , nothing special. Just the hype. Everything Fresh though and Staff is nice. The worst part is the parking especially because all the customers with their sports cars taking every spot and just sit there for hours even though they’ve finished their meal and doing absolutely Nothing.
Hungry Hippo
Looked forward to this place, heard people rave on about it. Props to the person who did the marketing, they have regular car meets here, so you get a lot of nice cars attracting a lot of car enthusiast.
But if it was to come down to the food comparison to Glenny kebabs vs other kebab places, Glenny kebab still has a lot to improve on, in terms of quality and freshness of the kebab.
Secret Eater
been here once and today I ordered from Uber eats. All I want to say is that your kebabs was amazing. Great food and friendly staff. The chips are good! Def Worth the money!
Reece
Pretty good HSP. The only reason I can’t give this place full marks is because there is nowhere to eat indoors, which is a real downfall. I went with my wife in June but it was so cold we ended up eating fast and leaving quickly.
LL
The seating comprise of a bunch of tents and chairs and table underneath. Not ideal for a cold or a raining night. Takes approx 15-20mins for food to be ready (longer than other kebab stores). Out of all the HSP outlets, this is my personal favourite. Have consistently been good as well. They have flavoured crispy chips topped with good quality meat and flavourful sauces. They accept requests such as extra cheese/ extra spicy /onions. Definitely recommend.
Gem
Great food truck open late! HSP was awesome! Nice big servings, generous sauce and the meat was delicious! The wait time was a bit long, but there were a few customers so understandable.
Jenny Li
Question: how long does it take five people to assemble one (mini) hsp? Answer: half a bloody hour.
Used to be great but now just average. Not worth waiting that long in line for.
D Train McClain
Glenny Kebabs is located behind the Caltex Car Wash on Springvale road offering a range of HSP & Kebab options. The HSP is decent here, chips are crunchy & meat and sauces are reasonable. Can get very busy during the night as they have car meet ups etc depending on the night. If you don't mind waiting (sometime when busy may have to wait 30-40 mins for your food) then can pay Glenny Kebabs a visit.
Sheikh Zayed
The service was good the chips were nice and there was a good selection of drinks but the meat in my kebab (mixed) was raw and cold, may have been because the place was busy though, but still uncooked meat 🤢

Sam Hii
Halal Snack Pack was awesome! Perfect midnight snack. Best HSP I had in Melbourne so far and prices were reasonable too. Will be back if I happen to be around Glen.
Alice Clare
Went at 7:30pm on a Saturday night so it was a busy period. Ordering was easy and girl serving was friendly and helpful. Waited 35mins but well worth the wait! Delicious chicken, crisp chips and generous on the sauces. Worth the wait. Can recommend HSP with sweet potato fries!
@foodtom
Top place for a hsp, definitely a great atmosphere when everyone brings their art and joy cars to the event. Although parking is absolutely terrible as it's not in the best location. The food is quite good, but there is quite a long wait time in peak time because of the number of customers. Overall, great place and I'll be back.
Raymond Abella
Low in petrol and happen to be in Springvale road?

Feed your car and yourself!
Situated next to a petrol station is Glenny Kebabs; offering quality kebabs, excellent customer service whilst dropping the hottest beats as you chow down on your HSP’s with the crew.

Make friends with salad. These guys do mock meat kebabs, catering for all the vegans out there.
Replace the chips with sweet potato chips on your next HSP. It’s not your usual Kebab stand!

Thanks Asad and crew for catering for the design department, here at Catch. Definitely finished with the biggest food coma’s and positive feedback from everyone!
Look forward to our next collab.
The Local
SOLID HSP

I knew about this place for the longest time and always put off going here but I finally got around to getting there and I really enjoyed it.

The experience ,
Parking wasn’t too bad a lot of space. The employees were helpful and friendly, the wait time was quite long but it was busy. There was lots of tables and undercover area for enjoying your food.

The food ,
I ordered a Lamb HSP as usual with the holy trinity. It was a good portion and the meat was very delicious and chips were some of the best I’ve ever had they were well seasoned and sauces were dispersed well overall very good. Only downside was the wait :/

I recommend this place to anyone who is feeling like a late night kebab or hsp

Cheap and Cheats!..... I ordered a Meat Pack today with dips on the side. I paid for 2 Hommos and 1 Garlic dip. When I got my order there was 1 hommos dip missing, when I enquired about it I was told the hommos dip cost 1$ (instead of 0.5$ as stated on their menu). My receipt clearly stated a quantity of 2. Though I paid the extra dollar for the 2nd hommos, not sure why my original order did not charge me 1$ each for the 2 quantities I had ordered initially...as I clearly ordered for 2. Cheap and Cheat behaviour by the Arab? girl on the counter.
Annie
Just what you need after a big night . Meat is nice and juicy, and it is not too messy to eat. Price point is fair, but the crowd here is a little rowdy.
Michelle Leong
Working till late often limits one's food option because not only is eating late unhealthy but it would be highly unlikely for anyone to be in the mood for appearing/sounding presentable. Having said so, I would compromise healthy eating when I feel the need to reward myself. Meh to rocking up anywhere presentable.
Stephanie Papazois
Ordered a gym pack w chicken, the chips were so crispy, and sooo tasty.. so addictive. The chicken was alright, nothing special but had good flavours. Next time will try a wrap cause the meals are huge!!
Shravan Suresh
Great service, average kebabs and amazing chips. That’s the easiest way to sum up my experience here. These chips were something I’ve never tasted before. It had more flavors than the kebab. My chicken kebab would have been amazing if the chicken wasn’t sooo chewy. Good long hours thou and pretty convenient for a late night meal.
Bree Rogers
Love Glenny Kebabs! Repeat customer, and as a vegetarian I love the falafel and jackfruit HSP, love being able to experience a HSP with the rest of the gang. Super friendly staff. Came here for the first time ever on my birthday, and was not disappointed! Occasionally mistakes on large orders, but nothing I'd stress about. Always happy to help and I'd come back any time.
Emily
The legendary Glennys runs out of a food truck in a petrol station. Not glamourous sure, but not many kebab joints are. The HSP is a must try if youve never had one so I brought a local friend over to experience Pauline Hanson's favourite.

It is certainly limited by being a food truck. Slow to prepare and it's lukewarm when you get it. Flavours are all good but hot meat and crispy chips are not there. :(
Thomai Fischbacher
Service was extremely friendly and short wait but unfortunately the meat wasn't great parts were barely cooked, the garlic sauce was like soup and the cheese on the chips was hard and just gross. The chips were burnt but soggy. Can't see us returning.
Michelle
Gave this place a second try after the first one I bought when I first opened ,made me feel sick after eating it
However the second try wasn't that much better
Meat was taken from the thermal container , was not cooked or heated up again
Chips were unevenly seasoned and whole hsp was pretty much cold the second I got it

There were 5/6 staff working on a Monday night yet still had to wait 15 mins to get my order
Not sure what the hype is all about
Anthony Reale
A food truck located on the end of a servo this place can get packed. Despite this the staff are always happy and friendly to see every single customer that comes to the window. The Kebabs are fresh and the meat is cooked perfectly. The chips are seasons on point and just rounds out a perfect accompaniment. Good selection of drinks to go on the side. The HSP and Kebabs have a good balance protein to other ingredients. They also offer vegan friendly options as well and the falafels are always crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Wether it's a late night hunger or a quick stop after shopping at the Glen make sure to try this shop
Cheraag.s
This is a very decent kabab place with surprisingly good music and very friendly staff even though they are always busy. I had the lamb and chicken mix HSP with all sauces and cheese for $10.

Usually, most kabab places that offer a HSP load it with chips and have a thin layer of meat on top with a strip of sauce. But this place had the right quantity of fresh, hot and crispy chips at the bottom and loaded it with meat. The sauce was just right and blended well with the meat and didn't make the pack dry. They've got a few tables outside and plenty of parking either at the servo or opposite the road.

Will come back to try their kebab.
Vimawala
Fantastic food, service and set up. Been there. Couple of times and absolutely love it. Highly recommend this place for dinner, late nights.
Wynne Mangan
The staff are sooooo friendly and I enjoy eating my meal in the outdoor area! I just wish they have an outdoor heater especially during the winter. I'm so glad I have a local joint that does vegan food. Vegan kebabs are to die for and is so filling. Didn't enjoy the vegan hsp as much but it's still amazing that there is an option
Dina78_rezaei
The HSP tastes like a piece from heaven
The staff are always super friendly and nice
The one downside is that the line gets really long and it takes a while for the food to be ready
Sam 🍥🍜🍣
Had my very first HSP experience here. Staff were friendly, and didn't mind me rabidly shaking the chili flake dispenser over my styro despite the questionable amount of chili flakes I launched upon my bed of potato sticks and meat-carousell shavings. The cheese was perfectly melted and settled into the cracks between the fries like a salve specially curated to mend the worst of divorces, cradling the meat like it was their last night together. The holy trinity sauce (garlic, BBQ, and chili for the uninitiated) lay over it like a hot blanket of passion and whispered sweet nothings. Overall an awesome experience, would 10/10 come back for more.
Soulman
A kebab place that offers some pretty good value. The chicken kebab had plenty of pieces of chicken it was really tasty. The lamb kebab looked pretty good and I'm keen to try.
Kim
Tried the vegan life combo, it was really nice. It could do with a nicer salad though esp for 16 dollars which I find a bit overpriced. Also hand made chips would be nicer. Good service, wait wasn't too bad despite the massive line. Would return.

Edit: came back in 2018, the chips had lots of really nice seasoning so I was happy with those. This time I ordered the mock meat kebab, and since it was 3 dollars more expensive than falafel and animal meat I was not expecting jackfruit. It was jackfruit. Which I love and it was tasty, however it is SO CHEAP and comes in cans... Way cheaper than any meat or falafel so why is it more expensive than the rest??? Ridiculous. Also I was charged extra for hummus in the kebab too, also completely ridiculous!! Took off a point for this.
Alexander Yap
Finally got the chance to try this famous kebab joint. Chicken kebab is indeed very big with lots of comparatively lean meat. The wrap is perfectly grilled, slightly fluffy not soggy. Standard garlic sauce, they should've offered me a spicier option. Overall good taste & value. No wonder people queue up in the open air on a cold night for it.
World Eats Food
Highly rate the HSP's and chips here! What I liked is how the chips remain crispy even though it's under all the meat. We had the large HSP with mixed meat, garlic and chilli sauce, cheese and chilli flakes! Was delicious! Definitely want to try the sweet potato fries next time. There was a bit of a wait, but they have chairs and tables. You know it's good when it's popular!
Alex De Rosa
Hands down the best kebab/hsp in the area, the only downside will probably be the wait. If u happen to be here in the late night. Expect to have a average waiting time around 20 mins. But still worth it.
N A J A M
Parking: As it's situated at petrol station; therefore, one can get parking anywhere otherwise cross the road.

Ambience: It's a food truck; therefore, take away or outdoor dining.

Menu selection: Typical kebab shop menu. Halal snack pack is the hot seller

Service was good. Lady at the counter took the order with a which is the important in my books. It was bz but still order was served in timely manner. Don't forget it's a food truck; they don't have a big kitchen and staff to cater huge orders. So, be patient.

Food: Well, I must say that this is place is bit overrated. When I try kebab shops, I always order meat pack or meat only dishes first without or minimum sauces; so, I can taste the meat. Their meat doesn't have an outstanding taste except heaps of salt. I have eaten way better HSPs around Glen Waverley but I won't recommend this place to anyone for HSP.

Please, be noted; nothing is personal, just an honest review.
Jessica
The HSP here are the best I've had. The chilli is too spicy, would be good if they had sweet chilli option as well . If not in the mood for a HSP plain meat with garlic sauce is the way to go. The servings add quite a lot and the small could be shared between two of not very hungry and the large could be shared between 2-3 ppl or even more if just having for a snack. The wait can be extremely long and time consuming and busy at times but besides that definitely worth a try and always enjoyable and great meal!
Jack Smith
I went their today, i wait 30 min, the kebab is average, noting special, i cannot say it was bad, i cannot say it was something special, it was a ordenery good kebab you can buy from anywhere, I still dont know why it is popular, i will never wait 30 min again for it, maybe 2 to 3 min max, real talk
thank you

This place opened up pretty recently and there was tons of hype so had to go check it out. The first time I went there I was greeted by the two young guys working there (who I assume are the owners) with lots of enthusiasm. I ordered a regular mixed HSP with cheese and holy trinity (chilli, BBQ and garlic) and the HSP solid but not anything mind blowing. As I was leaving the guys asked me how it was and asked for feedback (very good service!!).

Being a big fan of HSP in general and new local businesses I decided to go back a few weeks later to give it another go and WOW. They had honestly perfected the HSP, it was incredible! Perfect generous amount of sauce and the ratios were on point 👌. The meat was juicy and delicious, the cheese perfectly melted into a golden bed and the chips crispy and seasoned fantastically with a nandos peri peri style.

Personally the best overall HSP you can get in the area would HIGHLY recommend everyone go there. I literally go there at least once a fortnight cos it's so great and only $10!!

**Never tried a kebab there but I imagine they would be just as good as the HSP
Chuck
Popular with street rat racer sheep types.
Need to go at certain times to avoid these pack animals. Food is ok. Price is ok. Is located in a car wash/ petrol station carpark so is a food truck with alfresco tables and on windy days or a washer with poor aim you can get some spray on you.
The HSP's here are average to poor , very over hyped.

Pros:
-Location
-Price on the relatively cheaper side
-Nice Service

Cons:
-Long Wait
-Consistently lukewarm chips + meat
-Meat's dry
Ohmyfoodie
Where do I start? After much deliberation of whether I should be trying this place out as it's worth the drive from Pascoe Vale, I did. Was it worth it? No. That's my brutal, (and honest) opinion. Why? Let me deliberate. Took an hour for the food to arrive, no worries, but you'd expect some quality. This was not achieved. The chips weren't 'crispy' they were burnt - there was no potato in them because the fries had been burnt, the chips were then laid underneath a layer of meat - and with the oil it stayed 'crunchy' because of the fact that it was burnt. Hard to describe - only can describe it if you've worked in a fish and chippery before. The meat was cold and rubbery, it wasn't the juiciest. It tasted staled. The garlic sauce had chunks of garlic pieces - so it was all great until you had either a large chunk of garlic or yogurt piece in your mouth. The chilli sauce was the only highlight - chilli, lemony, and tasted great.
While it was an experience, it wasn't worth it.
You can't expect to open a kebab shop and think it's going to work based off just HSPs. Sure, I saw the kebab menu but I was hesitant due to the fact that apparently wrapping kebabs in foil is old school and that there had been negative comments on it.
Forgot to take a photo. Maybe next time if I pop in I will. That's if I do.
Not horrible. But not great either.

Quite Easily the BEST Kebab & HSP place in Melbourne!

High quality foods with exceptional service.
A great outdoor dinint area with plenty of parking!

Be warned, it does get SUPER Busy, but I suppose thats a reflection on the popularity of Glenny Kebabs.

Easy to see why it is soo popular.

Also some very nice cars on display !

Not good enough, with so many hsps and kebabs place around you'd think a new store would step it up. Tastes okay?

Salad tastes standard, the lamb wasn't seasoned as tasty as somewhere like Jimmyz Kebabs', for some reason just tasted peppery. Chicken and garlic sauce was below my standard. That being said I've had really good hsp meat platter type's and Glenny Kebabs isn't horrible nor is it worth coming back for...

LIT: the HSP in large was incredibly large. You need about 3-4 people to eat this. Also the sweet potato chips were surprisingly very crispy. 10/10 chips and meat.

NOT SO LIT: Will send you into a food coma

Ok, so I finally went out to try my first real HSP, as my first experience at ANOTHER establishment (shown in my dineline) wasn't the most memorable.

When we arrived it was busy and I noticed there wasn't much seating available and there were many parked cars all around. Note if you're short the counter is a stretch to reach haha. Note that the drinks are pretty cheap too. The service was really welcoming with "brother" being used routinely. I ordered the small $10 mixed HSP with garlic, BBQ and chilli flakes and for my dining partner a Felafel HSP with garlic sauce $12. Prices are good but wondered why felafel costed more. The wait was a little long but it was busy, thus after 15 mins it was ready. In that time we found a table and two seats.

Boy, how filling these packs are! It was so tasty, the meats sauces and cheese all meshed together to make the best late night snack someone could want! I especially liked the powered paprika seasoned chips which was new for me. The felafel were definitely homemade, explaining why it was $2 more. This was also a great meal too!

My only addition would've been to have my HSP a little warmer in temperature as it wasn't overly hot but it wasn't a big issue (this probably occurred due to them waiting for the felafel to be ready which could take longer).

All in all, I will be back to try another! Well done guys!

Decided to try this place after a friend recommended it.
Service was really good, staff is really friendly.
Ordered the HSP with mixed meat, cheese, and all 3 sauces. Chips were still crispy/crunchy despite covered in cheese and were seasoned really well.
The meat was really good, not dry at all.
The sauces were really good but the chilli sauce was a bit too spicy for my liking, but thats just me.

Glenny Kebabs is a new player in the kebab scene, recently opened up in 2016. They are easily located directly opposite The Glen shopping centre with a small car park available just off Hinkler Road as well as a couple of spots just in front of the kiosk.

Their menu is Vegan/GF/Vegetarian friendly with combo packs designed for the different crowds as well as a special pack for gym junkies.

The staff were friendly and service was pretty quick, even though they had a lot of orders at one time.

Check out the review of Glenny Kebabs in the blog post below.

Was recommended this place by a mate so naturally knew I must try! Rocked up about 8:30 on a hot friday night and was so surprised by how busy they were. At least 20-30 people either waiting for food or eating at the array of tables available. Didnt take long at all of order, however was a long wait til our food was ready (maybe 25 mins!). The chips were lovely, had some interesting seasoning on it. The kebabs were very full...definitely not the best kebabs I've ever had though, considering the apparent popularity of the joint. However kudos the them, they cut up the garlic bread for you which is really convenient.

Glenny kebabs, notoriously known in Glen Waverley for their beautiful meats, great attractions (car shows and stuff) and awesome customer service. I recently tried their HSP (Halal snack pack) and in terms of taste for money, it was fantastic! The meat was very moist (not quite oily)and the mix of the sauces was fairly nice too, although the chili sauce was a tad bit soft, as was the garlic sauce. Overall, definitely worth the money.

Dropped by to satisfy a late night chip craving. The sweet potato chips are amongst the best I've had. Really crispy and didn't feel overly greasy. It was recommended that I had it with sweet chilli sauce, but honestly I think I would've preferred it without. I didn't enjoy the regular potato chips as much. They were a bit soggy and the garlic sauce didn't add much to it either. Maybe it would've stayed crispy for longer if it wasn't doused in sauce?

I'd definitely return just for the sweet potato chips.
