Just because I’m buying a meal less then $10 they calling me cheap to another staff member. Pretty rude service !!!! I hope this restaurant shut down soon !!!!! I do spend more money on my meals but not at your restaurants.

A cosy place to enjoy lunch. Love this gorgeous Seafood bento with grilled teriyaki salmon. All in one place. Hmm, yummy🤤! Affordable meal and not pricey for others food as well. Clean, fresh and hot served. Very recommended. Couldn't be happier for Japanese food lover experience in CBD.

Absolutely Delishes. Stir-fry with rice, absolutely to die for, amazing quality and ingredients. And the price is amazing. It's now my favourite place to come and eat. Just mouth watering. I have walked passed this sushi place for a while and decided to try it out. There is a generous amount of seats and space. Lots of staff and variety of sushi and bento boxes to pick from. Had a prawn tempura katsu which was big in size but tasted average and same went with the Thai sweet chilli chicken. Looked good from the outside but wasnt crispy at all and the chicken was soggy.

Worthless place. Sushi were not fresh and the staff did not know what the menu they have Aussie eat their lunch from 1145 to 1 15 pm. They have made the food ready. LOW QUALITY ASIAN food and the base were terrible.. Third Rated CHEMICAL Filled SUN RICE brand.. Constipating and half cooked with dosed with cheap imported ASIAN cooking OIL... Highly Not Recommended....

Decent Feed

I’ve passed by this place a number of times and finally decided to give it go since I was craving some sushi. Ended up choosing the prawn katsu sushi as the prawns looked so big and tasty. Unfortunately it was average, and didn’t taste as good as I had imagined. Found the outside roll to be quite oily as well.

Came in on a not so busy hour. I was served quickly and courteously, which is a thumbs up! Environment is clean and pleasing. I ordered the chicken teriyaki bento. They could improve on the food. The dish was too oily, and there were more garnishings than the actual chicken. It could have been called carrots and onions teriyaki instead. I'm not sure about the other dishes though. I guess it's livable for the price of $12.

It always looks so busy when i walk pass here so i decided to try it out. The sushi was pretty good and the price wasn't over priced for what it was. Service was quick which is great for lunch time rush!

I don't understand the poor reviews. Friendly service and served really quickly. The food was standard but I think it matches up well with the price! I left feeling really nice and full.

The Dear Luncher

Aki always seems to have a lot of people buzzing around during the lunch hours and walking past recently The Dear Luncher had to find out why. Struck by indecisiveness when looking at options at the counter, Your Dear Luncher saw the words “chilli and beef” in one particular dish and rushed into ordering it. Unfortunately it was the sweet chilli beef. The Dear Luncher takes full responsibility for this mistake. The dish did not look all that appealing, but was enjoyable enough. Enough by way of meat content and everything seemed fresh. Certainly good value for money – a big, filling plate for around $11. Nothing particularly outstanding about this dish at all. It did not provide enough by way of confidence to return to Aki sometime in the future. The small square/couch seating was a tad on the uncomfortable side and as they are largely communal tables there was not a great deal of cleaning going in between patrons.

Food is cheap and nice enough so cannot hold much against them but the seating. The stools are super short so if you are a bit tall like me, it may not be somewhere you will want to sit down and chat for ages with your friends.

I would rate this place 1.0 if not for the good service. That's pretty much the only good thing here. The seats are uncomfortable. The food is horrible. I ordered a chicken katsu curry don. The chicken portion is small, dry and taste nothing like chicken. The curry taste like some kind of weird starchy paste, and taste sourish. Yucks~

Occasionally I like to feel bad about myself, so I when I saw the fried items-lined asian smorgasbord at Aki Sushi, I was keen to check it out. Everything in the cabinet looked decent enough and was cheap enough, but not terribly great as food unfortunately. Despite all of that, the place was reasonably busy on this working lunch hour so there’s a crowd coming in from somewhere.

This might seem fussy, but I really don't like eating with sparrows. Other than that it's a pretty standard casual Japanese eatery, with a bit below average food.

Cook to order is a winner. Their cook to order menu is great - especially love the katsu don and curry chicken don. Harumak rolls are a winner too.

Quick Japanese take away at reasonable prices... Uncomfortable seating, but the food is acceptable for a take away. The service is quick, no fuss and focused on getting you in an out with no fuss. No reason why I won't go back.. just average.
