Taste of product is good, the bubble tea and egg waffles have a simpleness of flavours that highlight quality ingredients. Service was just passable, staff did seem over it and was just hanging in there, could've been an eventful shift. But happy to return to sample more great flavours.

I had this pearl waffle years ago and I came back for it today because of how amazing it was, crunchy and beautiful golden with warm sweet boba pearls inside 🧇 However in my opinion, the quality wasn’t like before.. the waffle was unfortunately tasteless and soggy even though I had it in store :(

I wanted to post to address some of the negative reviews below. I came here because the waffles sounded interesting, and then I saw they had a heap of unusual bubble tea options that is never seen before. At about 6:30pm on a Thursday the store was very full, but the person at the counter helped me to decide whether to get a hot or cold version of the Milk Tea with Puff Cream (basically a milk tea with the cream filling that is put inside of cream puffs in the middle!). I got the cold tea. When I ordered a waffle, she informed me it would be a 20 minute wait. You have to order the sauce of your preference on the side, and it comes with the waffle in a little cup for dipping. A few people left their tables while I waited, so I was able to get a table. They gave me my tea when it was ready and then I waited about 10 more mins for my waffle. The tea was really great, and very different. The cream added a lovely velvety texture to the drink. I probably would have it without the ice next time. The waffle was an amazing texture: crispy on the outside, with a squishy soft texture on the inside. You tear bits off and dip them into the sauce. I got the salted cheese sauce and it tasted like cheesecake! It's a warm sweet creamy texture. I would definitely go back, but I would share the waffle next time: it was probably a bit much to have a tea AND a waffle by myself! 🥤😄

Decided to pop in to try their bubble egg waffles and we really enjoyed it. They were made fresh to order and it took approximately 5–10 minutes It came in a nice and handy packaging which makes it easy to eat when youre on the go Loved the the texture and it had the crunchy bits in the waffle which was nice. They had quite a few flavours and we decided to go with the original and it did not dissapoint

Love the drink flavours. Fav is the Yakult Lemon Green Tea, Avocado Smoothie and the Pudding/Pearl/Jelly Milk Tea. Don’t forget to add more pearls 😋 Love the bubble waffles as well. Fav is original or pearls. Combo for $12.99 which gives me my fav drink and waffle?! Woohoo!! Be prepared that it might be a long wait as they can only make 2 waffle at once. If you are unlucky you could be there 15-20m.

Love the red bean, pudding and matcha latte from Happy lemon! the red bean and matcha is a great match! plus the pudding texture brings it all to a different level! I also love their egg waffles - they are made fresh on the spot and very crunchy - i like it with the pearls in it. It is very chewy and almost every 'egg waffle' had a pearl in it.

We came here because of zomato gold. The staff was extremely rude and impolite. It seems like she hates people using zomato gold because it will double her workload. If you are using zomato gold, please be prepared that you could only order two exact same drinks with the exact same amount of ice and sugar level.

The salted cheese strawberry drink was really awful - black tea blended with ice and strawberry syrup and topped with salted cheese foam that tasted way too milky. The drinks here are hit and miss really, i makes me not want to take any risk by trying new items with them. Not a good sign

I wanted to try the cheese tea which originated in Taiwan. I thought it would be like cheese cake or ice cream flavor. But it was so salty that it was not refreshing and it overwhelmed the other flavors which was passionfruit green tea. My hubby had a milk tea it was unremarkable. Its okay nothing to go out of the way for. I am glad I tried it though. Pretty dirty inside though.

Used Zomato gold for 2+2 drinks. Had to get 2 drinks exactly the same (ice level and sugar level). There were lots of delivery orders so took 20 minutes for our drinks to be ready. Taste: 3/5. The taro ball in the milk tea was nice but tea flavour wasn’t strong. The ice tea tasted average and didn’t have much tea flavour either.

For sure my favourite place for lemon tea. When you want something refreshing definitely come here. I often order the yakult lemon green tea. It was my first time trying a tea with yakult but was pleasantly surprised considering I get it often now. Their bubble waffles are also so soft on the inside yet so crispy as well.

Very disappointed with my Taro Milk Tea. The tea seemed to be watered down and there was just a very slight hint of taro flavour in the taro balls; they weren’t even purple in colour (they were white like white pearls). Worst of all, the cups aren’t filled to the top so it doesn’t seem as though you are getting your money’s worth. The place is also very dirty, with rubbish and waffle prices all over the floor, and not enough staff to clean up, as they were too busy making customer’s orders. Will not be coming back again.

Happy Lemon is well known for their lemon inspired drinks. They make very nice bubble tea and other delicious smoothies. I love their egg waffles and their creative flavours such as egg waffles with pearls. Unfortunately, their egg waffles and drinks are quite high in price, so I don’t go there often. I love the Happy Lemon designs on their cups and the store also sell goodies such as bags and other merchandise.

oreo milk tea with tiramisu salted foam, plus pearls, 70% sugar, no ice, is a hell yeah. you can actually taste the distinctive tiramisu foam, it tastes simultaneously sweet and salty which is actually delicious. they top it with crushed oreo crumbs, and the combination of oreo and tiramisu is a clear winner. i dont recommend the taro balls topping because it tastes just like pearls that have been sitting in the fridge overnight and go hard and yuck. the pearls are soft and chewy, can't fault em. LOVE how happy lemon has livenpay, so you get cash back on your order :))

A weekly stop for us. My favourite is the milk tea with cheese foam. For me this is perfect with no sugar. Sometimes I add pearls to pimp it up. The normal milk tea is also quite good. It is either Gong Cha or Happy Lemon for my Milk tea fix.

1.5 stars ⭐️ more like UNHAPPY Lemon. We ordered milk tea with taro pudding and pearl milk tea. It wasn’t a really busy time of the day and yet our tea took about 10 mins to make. I kept asking them and asking them for it. When it came, we find the straw extremely annoying to poke through the plastic film. The milk tea doesn’t have any tea flavour at all. The only redeeming factor is the taro pudding. 🙄

I tried Happy Lemon’s famous lemon green tea drink and also their matcha red bean bubble waffle. The lemon tea drink was amazingly fresh, delicious, and very lemon-y, and the bubble waffle was freshly cooked, not too sweet and had crispy edges. Service was friendly, and if they could keep the area cleaner the ambiance would have been more cozy.

Ordered the fresh honey lemon green tea ($5.70, only comes in regular size) with pearls. It was a great refresher as the lemon and honey balanced each other nicely but still packed a punch with the strong fresh lemon taste. Although it is pricier than the usual cost of bubble tea I would definitely order again as they have unique flavours that are not offered elsewhere (i.e fresh lemon series). Plus the pearls were nice and soft and had a subtle sweetness!

One of my favourite place for desserts in Melbourne! Their bubble waffles are to die for. Their waffles are crispy on the outside with soft inside. Tried the Green Tea with Rock Salted Cheese and it was pretty good! The cheese was nice, creamy and salty which balanced out the cool, refreshing tea. Also as you walk into the shop you get a waft the delicious bubble waffle aroma. Definitely need to return to try that too!

I’ll give this place a 1.5 stars. Tea = meh. Egg waffle = yum. What drew me to this place was their Lemon logo. It’s so cute and inviting! I’ve never tried this foam cheese tea so I decided this is the perfect place to try it! The menu isn’t that extensive as some other places. I was hoping they’ll have taro milk tea but It wasn’t on the menu. The interior of the store is so colourful and cute! Probably one of the my favourite bubble tea places to walk in. I ordered the cheese foam with black tea and also the milk tea with taro balls. They also sell egg waffles which I decided I would give that a go. So I tried the cheese foam with black tea and I was very underwhelmed by the cheese foam itself. The cheese foam was floating on top of the tea and you got to mix it up which gave the tea a very off creamy tea taste, which I wasnt the biggest fan of. I’m not sure why everyone loves it. . The black tea was average as well. The milk tea wasn’t my cup of tea at all. I had a sip and couldn’t finish it. What a shame. The only positive thing was the egg waffles! I really liked how crispy it was. It was nice and soft in the inside as well. I really enjoyed it! I think there’s also an option to put topping on it. Overall, not sure if I’ll return. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing? Maybe I should have asked the staff for recommendations. I might give it another go in the future or perhaps stick with my beloved Coco.

Another bubble tea joint in the CBD. There was a fair line which is normally a good sign, although I think it was more due to the outlets location. Had the milk tea with tapioca pearls. It was decent although not a huge amount of pearls. Coco is still my favourite in Melbourne.

Another day, another bubble tea joint in the city! There certainly is no lack of choice at the moment. Happy Lemon is a reasonable bubble tea outlet. It is always very busy but they are able to prepare the orders in a timely manner. We had the Strawberry Black Tea with salted cheese which had nice chunks of real strawberries in it. The cheese foam was well salted and creamy. The combination of the tea and cheese foam was nice. We also had the Taro Ball Milk Tea and this was also quite yummy. Having been here a few times now, the quality of their drinks can be quite variable. There have been times when our orders were bland and disappointing but today's experience was surprisingly pleasant. Happy Lemon made it a sunny day!

It broke my heart to pay $8 for basic bubble waffles after recently enjoying Michelin Starred egg waffles in Hong Kong (Mammy Pancake) for half the price, but Happy Lemon's version of Bubble / Egg waffles did satisfy the craving. Made fresh, the waffles were light and crispy on the outside, and not too gooey on the inside. The smell of fresh waffles are hard to beat! I'd probably come back for the chocolate version.

I chose the lemon green tea which also happens to be their #1 drink. It was a bit pricey for the portion, but you can see the drink is made with fresh and real ingredients. Will come again to try their other drinks.

The green tea that I had wasn't to bad, certainly thrilled by the rock salted cheese foam option. They also have custard as an addition, instead of pearls, which is like herbal jelly in texture but a bit more on the lighter/sweet. The bubble waffle wasn't too bad either. I might order it again but next time with sauce or the chocolate option. Overall not bad.

I like the grapefruit and lemon slushie- super refreshing. I find their cheese to be too sweet, so I usually stick with the lemon based teas/slushies. Staff are really lovely and deal with the lines really well. I want to go back again and try the waffle - it smells wonderful whenever we walk by.

I like citrus and I’ve walked past this place too many times. You know when you say “I’m going to stop one day?” We’ll I did and I’m really happy that I did. This place was packed, but the service was excellent. The lady who served me was extremely polite and helpful. I ordered a lemon slushie hoping that this had the smallest amount of cane sugar, well I was hoping it didn’t have any to be honest. My drink was ready quite quickly and the lemon flavour was really good. I liked the strong lemon flavour and to my surprise there was some jelly in my drink. They were probably sugar so I’d ask not to have them next time but overall I was really impressed. Definitely worth a visit as there were a lot of options and they now sell desserts such as bubble waffles.

We came to happy lemon but did not order any drinks with lemon.. At first we felt the drinks weren’t too bad.. we ordered milk tea with pudding, bubble & lychee jelly.. the tea is full of flavour and pretty strong.. however half way when I was enjoying the drink, I feel like there was some foreign object in my mouth.. it was a piece of plastic (refer photo).. it definitely spoilt my mood.. we probably won’t go back..

I went there today during lunch time and was surprised to see that it wasn't too busy. There were two girls working, one taking orders and one making orders. I decided to order the yakult lemon green tea, and got a table to sit at while I waited. The yakult lemon green tea is a refreshing blend of the different flavors, and the flavors don't hit you all at once, with each one having its own space for you to enjoy. The first mouthful, the original yakult taste is followed by a strong but not overpowering lemon flavor that ends as a nice refreshing green tea. looking forward to trying the milk teas next time :)

Tried their Valentine's special strawberry with cheese tea. The flavour was rich toppings was mouthful as well. The salted cheese really changes the whole idea of tea. On the side I had also ordered the waffles. No premade waffles in this store. They make your waffles in front of you. Very nice thing to watch and enjoy it without worrying what is in it. Definitely coming back for more bubble tea.

Loving their avocado matcha smoothie with some taro balls. They use fresh avocadoes and not some flavoured powder which is great. The rest of the drinks seem quite regular however their toppings are not ordinary so we may try different toppings later. The location of the cafe is in front of the tram stop so it’s always busy and you can also listen to the buskers playing their music. Staff was friendly and service was good although sometimes it’s a bit slow because the staff were busy talking or joking around with each other.

Went with my sister after lunch. Had the lemon honey green tea, the avocado matcha smoothie and the bubble waffle with salted cheese sauce. The honey lemon green tea has a very strong lemon taste, with a decent level of sweetness to counteract the sourness of the lemon. The flavour is like if someone made liquid version lemon pudding, its so yummy. The avocado matcha smoothie has a good avocado flavour, and the matcha flavour isnt overpowering like i thought it would be. The smoothie has a smooth creamy texture and doesnt have the icy texture that most ice blended drinks have. The bubble waffle was really good, the outside texture is crunchy and crispy, while the inside of the bubbles is soft and fluffy. The salted cheese sauce has a ‘whipped’ fluffy texture and isnt too heavy, going really well with the waffle. The inside has some tables so we were able to sit down and chat while we shared the bubble waffle. Overall it was a great experience, suitable for a sit down afternoon tea or a quick drink when shopping in the city.

Came past today and got the milk tea with puff cream and taro balls as well as a bubble waffle with salted cheese sauce. The milk tea with puff cream was really good and the taro balls are softer than the normal pearls and aren’t as filling which was good so I could finish the bubble waffle. The bubble waffle was crispy on the outside with the bubbles being soft and fluffy. The salted cheese sauce was a bit on the saltier side for me but the overall taste compliments each other very well. I will be bringing my friends with me next time.

Came here on Friday during the afternoon and decided to brave the line and crowd that was in the store, and I was not disappointed! Decided to order the milk tea with taro balls, and it was definitely worth the wait. The taro balls are just the right amount of chewy adding a different option to the normal black pearls. I ordered half sugar and it was just right, not too sweet and not too plain. Definitely will come back again to try the bubble waffles another time when i haven't had a big lunch :)

Came here happy, left feeling sour. Firstly there was no queue - literally one dude in front of us & unless he ordered a gallon of drinks it shouldn’t take 30 mins for us to receive ours. Secondly, prioritising deliver orders over ours is no way to do business Lastly, accusing me of not paying when I literally just tapped my card and received a receipt from them is just preposterous.

Decent drinks - milk tea is just as good as most served in the city. The original waffle is tasty and sells out quickly, but in my opinion, it’s definitely not worth $7.99 (the chocolate waffle is $8.99). We stopped by around 9pm on a weekend and it was pretty busy. The service was super slow and we noticed that the ground was dirty from all the rubbish that didn’t quite make it into the bin. Obviously, staff were too busy making orders. There’s also limited seats.

從來沒有喝過這間店的飲料但是雞蛋仔吃了不下三四次 外脆內軟又有嚼勁吃了第一遍之後就上癮了 畢竟很難得在墨爾本吃到好吃的雞蛋仔呀! 唯一的小小缺點就是每次排隊的人很多 可是店裏少少的員工永遠看起來很忙人手不夠的樣子 所以客人等待時間都稍微久了一點 但是好的東西是值得等待的 各位員工們辛苦啦! HIGHLY ADDICTIVE BUBBLE WAFFLES! It’s quite hard to find decent egg waffles in Melbourne but the ones from Happy Lemon are pretttyy good. I’ve had it at least three or four times now, always made to perfection - crispy on the outside, soft and slightly chewy on the inside. The only little down side is the waiting time, they always seem a little understaffed despite its popularity (there was always a queue). But I guess good things are worth waiting for!

Ordered through ubereats. Flavour of the drinks can be quite strong and overwhelming but toppings tasted nice. I like how they have different flavour choices compared to the usual bubble tea shops.

With ice-cream, it could be really good... Price : ⭐️⭐️ I found it quiet expensive for what it is without any addition. Service : ⭐️⭐️ Can be excused if she’s just started...
