Went here recently as my friend and I were in the area & wanted sushi. I loved how open the restaurant was & all the options of food you could order on the tablets. We ordered a fair bit from the tablets;
- Okinomiyaki
- Chicken skewers (these were the best)
- Spring rolls
- Pan fried Gyozas
- Teriyaki chicken avocado sushi

I thought the sushi train aspect of it was a little bit overpriced. There wasn’t many dishes that started at $3.5; majority of the good ones were $4.5 or $5.5 whereas at other sushi trains they are all the same price.
Overall the service was great & the food we ordered came out quite fast. Just was a little bit overpriced.
Or first visit to a sushi train. I gotta say we WILL be back. Great speedy and friendly service. The food from the train was a delight and you can order drinks, desserts and got food from your table iPad. The plates were quite a bit cheaper than I was expecting. All in all a great night.
My partner and I live nearby and eat here regularly. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and the food is always great. They are also continuously changing, expanding and improving their menu. Would recommend to anyone!

From its welcoming vibe, stylish interior to the stunning display of their talented Chef’s knife skills and of course their fresh quality sushi and sashimi offering sold at a reasonable price point – Ganbare Kaz Kaiten Sushi is worth a visit. Choose from a rolling selection of fresh sushi and sashimi small plates from the Sushi Train priced by colour, or (like us and highly recommended) order the real delights via your tablet menu at your seat. You can expect a delicious variety of fresh sashimi, sushi, nigiri, aburi, gunkan (ships), noodle soup and also a stunning list of chef specials. The true wonder of these dishes is the freshness of the ingredients and delicate flavours of the fresh fish combined with rice, seaweed and pickles, and if you want to spice it up try a dab of wasabi to clear the sinuses!
Went to this amazing place on a date - and were very impressed! Staff were super friendly, the food was delicious, with a big range, and it's all moderately priced!
The sushi chef came and spoke to use at the end, and gave us a complimentary lemon plum wine - which totally topped off the meal. Would definitely go back!
Came here around 9ish on a Sat night for a small bite. Only one other diner besides my partner and I. Seated immediately and was shown by the friendly waiter how to order using the tablet. Various choices on the menu. The beef tataki and pork gyoza were delicious. We only tried a few of the items from the train which were fresh and tasty. The chef brought us some plum wine to try and thanked us for coming. Would definitely visit as it reminded me of my time living in Tokyo with the friendly and humble staff.
We know about this place from an article posted on Facebook. As it says on it, the sushi train is very delicious and fresh. Very recommended!
Love that this place has been rescued by new owners. Beautiful fresh seafood. Good selection on the train and from the iPad menu. Very cool japanese hip hop music adds a great ambience. We will be back!! Loved it all.
Great place for fresh authentic sushi. Much better than the previous proprietors. It took me a while to try it because I thought they had simply renamed the restaurant but it's new management and new staff, and waaaaay better!
Fantastic experience in chapel street! Really fresh foods and awesome taste.
I like overall experience dining in here, several choices of dishes and reasonable price, as well as great service.
It’s only hard to find car park, however, we will definitely go back.

I'd like to start with the fact that I was in awe of how humble the staff was. Good seating and background music played ever so subtly. The food was served as soon as it was ordered, I definitely recommend the Crab and Prawn sushi as it was so exquisite and appetising with every bite I took.
The garnish was displayed beautifully. Every dish had such contrast and vivid colour.
Great verity to select from.
Reasonable price to quantity.
The chef and staff were ever so polite and efficient.
Loved the experience and I definitely recommend the restaurant to everyone, you wouldn't regret it.

My little one wants sushi train so I googled this place and went. Food was ok. The iPad was a bit confusing to use when I tried to order as sometimes I don’t know when I have placed order or not. I like the matcha beer, was something different.

Very wide variety of foods available from cooked to raw foods. We had sushi, tempura, and dessert. Every dish was terrific especially the freshly fried tempura whenever you order it through the ipad.
However, only four stars because it was on the pricier side but its explainable since its located along Chapel St.
My favourite sushi train. The staff are great, food is on point and well priced, and the chef's create cute little things like this that entertain big kids like myself. Keep being awesome team!
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. The selection of sushi included traditional favourites along with a large number of creative options, all very clearly labelled. Don't know what else one could ask for!
