Review Gg Ez Bar - Melbourne

There's a huge range of drinks that will suit anyone, I recommend Troll Cup! Also the KFC burger is probably the best fried chicken burger I have ever had. The staff are always friendly and upbeat. It's a place I really enjoy going. The atmosphere is great and they hold events regularly.

Fun and vibrant bartenders. Fun themed drinks though a little limited in it's menu. Nice place to go with your mates!

Great atmosphere with an amazing drink menu, personally recommend the Toxic Cup bubble tea

Arrived here as the other bar closed earlier than their web says. As a Thursday night this was surprisingly quiet. The staff was really welcoming. Just need a bit me moment, so the quiet suits me.

My favourite bar in Melbourne. Video Games, craft beer, alcoholic bubble tea and excellent food. I'd give this place a higher rating if I could.

Great drinks, great staff, great vibe. Definitely go here if you love drinking and gaming

Basement eSports bar with great food, large selection of beverages (including alcoholic bubble tea!!), and screens on every wall. Daily specials (check out their social media) and friendly staff. If the game you would like to watch isn't on the screens, ask the staff and they will pop it on one of the screens for you.

Great atmosphere, really accommodating staff. We came in at around 9pm, and they set up a booth and put a VoD we requested to watch while we ate and drank. Ordered the Korean Fried Chicken and PubG Parma. Both were generous serving portions and were delicious. The Kimchi on top of the Parma was an excellent combination. Tried various cocktails, all were excellent. The standouts were the bubble cups, slurp juice, and Widowmaker cocktail. Would highly recommend GGEZ, and hope to see more bars in a similar vein start popping up. For now, GGEZ sets the standard.

Having had my fair share of Shin Ramyun instant noodles in my life, there was no mistaking its familiar taste when the “korean style egg noodles” came out.

It didn’t taste bad per se; but at an outrageous price of $10, I would recommend skipping this menu item and making it yourself at home. That is, if you can accept missing out on the lone slice of cheese, single nori sheet and small handful of pickled radish that they offer in a woeful attempt at justifying the 900% markup.

Its only saving grace is that the $2 “egg addition” option surprisingly gives you two eggs instead of one.

Awesome atmosphere if you like any type of videogames. The food is great too, i recommend the bulgogi burger or the fried chicken, they even had vego options for my friends!

Rating: 3.5 Great e-sports bar with a relaxed buzzing vibe. I love the industrial design too. They do bubble cup tea cocktails, with creative flavours, as well as other nice sounding cocktails. Great to visit if you love video games and esports.

Love this place. I totally geeked out when I saw D.Va on the wall.

Pro gamer's stream were on screens as well as replay of e-sport matches. From what I can remember, LoL, Overwatch, Smite and CS-GO were being played.

The Mexican/Korean fusion food was great too.
But for us, the highlight was the alcoholic bubble tea. Very unique and definitely go well with the e-sport replay.

Neat bar with a great range of tap beers and spirits. Love the Korean pop-up kitchen; amazing fried chicken burgers and loaded fries. Recommend!!

Cool venue, best of it's kind in Melbourne, would visit again. One of the better value places in that part of the city too, make sure you try the eSpresso Cup if you're an espresso martini fan.

Recently visiting Melbourne and needing to get a fix for my vices I found this fantastic bar.
Being an avid esports fan I never dreamed such a place existed. A place with great drinks, tasty food and pwning of some noobs! It really was GGEZ:)

I love this bar! The staff are really friendly, the vibe is excellent and you get to watch games - there's not much you can't love about it! The location is great too, really handy for after work drinks :)

Ever since this place opened it has become one of our favorite venues for after work drinks, there's just too much to like.

Allow me to explain:

- Convenient location, smack bang in the middle of the CBD
- Playful and unpretentious cocktails (love the Tropical Birdie Cup!)
- Very tasty beers on tap (some might argue that the choice is limited, in which case there are plenty of bottled/canned beers available for fussy drinkers)
- The food on offer is matched very well with the overall theme of the venue. Burgers, Wings, Parma (served PUBG style on a cast-iron pan) plus oodles of snacks and fries options. Everything a gamer needs really.
- Extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff who make you feel very welcome and are more than happy to take a pause and chat to patrons (mostly about games, upcoming or past events, streamers etc.)

Highly recommended if you enjoy watching or talking eSports with similar minded people, or if you simply enjoy a quality beer and feed in an unpretentious environment with friendly people.

Food, beer and watching games - plus it is down the road from my office, what is there not to like! If you haven't been I would suggest to check it out.
Matt Black
They have an awesome Cali/Korean menu and a fantastic beer selection. If you get down there, make sure you try the Korean Fried Chicken burger - it is hands down the best in Melbourne. Plus Overwatch comps streaming FTW!

I was not expected as kick-ass a chicken burger as I got when I turned up to GGEZ. Also, the bar appears to have been designed as a cool bar which happens to have live e-sports going on, which is a good approach for people who are on the fringe of nerdniess and don't really want to admit it ;) I'll be back, if only for dem burgers.

I really enjoyed my trip to GG EZ, For someone who has been playing video games since my Dad borrowed his workmate's Atari 2600 in the mid 80's walking into GG EZ felt like coming home.

I've been coming here for a few months now and have to say it's still one of my favourite places in Melbourne to grab a drink and a good meal. Not only do you get to watch a wide variety of esports, but the food and drinks are delicious, well priced and very well thought out. The bubble cups and kimchi fries are a match made in heaven, and a great selection of beers and ciders means it won't matter which of the delicious burgers you pick, you'll be able to pair it with a good drink. The staff are attentive and accommodating and all in all, this bar is a hidden gem that deserves its praises sung!

Have been a fair few times. The food is absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend the kfc burger and kimchi fries. Staff are super friendly and welcoming and were happy to answer several of my silly esports questions.

The new menu is excellent. Their KFC burger is one of the top in Melbourne and cocktails are classic. Awesome vibe, not too noisy. Perfect for 2,4,6 small groups.

Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. A definite attraction for eSport lovers.

A few hiccups with wheelchair access. Emailed beforehand to confirm access, arrived and initially was told I had to be carried up a few steps. Once management was aware, they bought out a portable lift which took a while to setup.

Parts inside weren't accessible as there was a step. Disabled bathroom a level up but need someone to operate the lift. Not a lot of room for multiple wheelchairs but you can make reservations beforehand to clear up space. A few TVs placed around the bar but it could do with a couple more, or a larger one in an area where those in wheelchairs can see properly. Commentary on TVs low, could do with a boost especially since it gets noisy inside.

As mentioned above, staff and staff excellent. Will go again with a reservation!

Alcoholic bubble tea. When you see these words put together you expect a beautiful craft, a masterpiece, a concoction of the perfect sweets. Upon hearing of this on Facebook, we knew we had to try it- especially the advertised Covfefe Bubble Tea. And well, to be frank, we wish we didn't. Disappointing is the word to describe it. Great in theory, this concoction tasted very very sad. It tasted like coke mixed with medicine, with pearls thrown in to call it bubble tea. Charging $18 for this is nothing short of a breach of human rights but it needed to be done to say we tried it.

In theory this drink sounds amazing but practically it falls short of all hype, expectations and any positive feedback. Severely disappointed in this drink and even the advertising behind it. Will never be returning again.

Food: 2/5
Ambience: 2.5/5
Service: 2.5/5
Value: 1/5

Overall: 2/5
My partner is a big eSports fan so we made the trek to GG EZ as soon as we could. The bar is quite small and would be great to hire out for personal functions/events. Rather than having one central screen there are multiple screens around the room playing different games and twitch channels including LoL, Dota2, PugB and CSGO.

Staff were super friendly and welcoming creating a very comfortable atmosphere to sit back with friends and watch some eSports. There were some issues with paying by eftpos as they are underground and the signal would sometimes cut out which may be a bigger issue on busier nights. It also seems like a bar that would benefit from having some board games available to play as there can be lots of lull periods in the games you’re watching.

Loved the bubble tea cocktails - had the EZ cup and eSpresso cup and both were delicious. Other drinks were reasonably priced for the CBD and although small, had a good range of beers, wines and ciders to guarantee most will find something to their liking.

The menu is korean themed with lots of kimchi featuring everywhere. We had the fried chicken wings, sea salt squid, east side fries and pan fried dumplings. Unfortunately all of the food other than the wings was quite mediocre and tasted reheated (particularly the dumplings). It was close to kitchen close (10pm) so perhaps the food is better earlier in the night.

The LA Beef burger is excellent. Great fries, too - nice and crispy. Try the bubble cup cocktails as well, the Jungle CUP is tops. The eSpresso CUP is a crazy spin on an espresso martini; it’s worth a try.

This is a fun yet atmospheric new bar in Melbourne. We popped in for a quick bite and drink on a Saturday night. The drinks selection is very unique; loved having Coors on tap! We tried the bubble-cup cocktails which were delightful! There's a lot of seating both at the bar and around. Love the neon ambience.
Staff were friendly and inviting, it was nice to have a vegan option, it was very tasty!
We will be back!

Great new bar which looks very cool inside with unique art and neon signs. Exciting drinks list including alcoholic bubble tea (have tried, is awesome) and a local root beer. Also have beer, wine and cider available.

Food is Korean themed ... It was almost too hard to choose what to have - e.g. kimchi cheese toasty, dumplings, KFC burger, chicken wings. Good to see a lot of vegetarian options as well which isn't always the case with this style of food. Really tasty and quality.

Friendly owner, happy to chat about games or not (made a non gamer such as myself feel comfortable). eSports fans that I was with were happy to hear that GG EZ is keen to support the local scene.
