Hidden gem in Glen huntly
Gold Sweets is a super awesome place where staff is polite and welcome customers with smile. The food served looks amazing and tastes even better.
Their Amritsari Kulcha is must try. Also Chola Bhature, Pav Bhaji, Samosa Chaat are excellent and must try.

I was most impressed by the quality of Customer service, which in my case was top notch. It took a while for us to order and the waitress was patient with us and had a smile while we trawled through their menu. We ended up deciding on the Gold Sweets Thali and ordered a couple of puris extra. We thought we said it was takeaway but we forgot to say it and they brought the food out, when we requested to do a takeaway they happily did that as well. The food itself was good apart from the mixed veg which was a bit basic imo. Will try their other items on our next visit.
Walked in for a quick lunch and wanted to have a typical desi meal. We started off with a Vegetable Manchow Soup which was okayish. We got a Pani Puri plate which was a disappointment because of its quantity. The dish though brought back some memories. Delicious! We then went straight up with a Paav-Bhaji and a Chole Bhature. The Bhaji was one of the best I've had in quite some time now. Really amazing! The Chole Bhature were okayish. All over a good experience, would go surely go again for that Bhaji.
My fav!! It is delicious! Hands down the best Indian restaurant. Idk why people just make up a weird reason to not go there🙄. Their Kulfis r the best and their paans as well. I'm so far away from the restaurant though.
Gold Sweets - Glen Huntly, cuisine - Indian. This one is a pure vegetarian Indian restaurant and a great option to try different style of indian cuisines. The dish here in the photo is called - Rajasthani thali, which has delicacies from the western state of India - Rajasthan (one of the most visited places in India by international tourists). #rating3.5 #melbourne #vegetarian #glenhuntly #goodfood #restaurantreview #veggielife #veggielover #goldsweets
Fresh food which is delicious beyond words. Loved their specials for the day- we had the dussera special thali and Punjabi thali. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. It was all worth the money, a must try!
Gold !!! Good quality of Indian food serve by restaurant. Good atmosphere with Indian music.100% pure vegetarian restaurant. Best place for snacks, lunch & dinner. Chats & Sweets are delicious.
Windy cold Melbourne evening called for a spicy chaat and since we were in the neighborhood this place seemed like the place to be!
Raj Kachori chaat - Fillings are very tasty and well balanced but the Kachori itself a bit underwhelming.
Dhabeli - Would not call it authentic. Have had better ones in other places.
Vada Pav - The hero! Took me back to the streets of Mumbai. Vada was perfect and the fried green chillies complimented the dish very well.
Might as well try the Rajasthani thali next time (The dishes listed looked authentic)
good food, nice dal , tasty chaat , easy to pocket , its pure veg thats the best pasrt , the deseerts and cool chats are really nice , really the taste is very authentic indian ! low rated , and not on tripadvisor ! very strange !

We had our dinner, Aloo tiki chat, Paneer butter masala n naans. All food was delicious n served well. The staff were friendly n cooked food as per our spice level. New management too, hope they will bring more choices of curries n snacks.
Absolutely love love love the authentic Indian food!! Hand made from the mother herself!! It was finger licking good. Staff is really familiar and it felt like we are at home having home made food. Definitely recommend this restaurant for Indian food specially. Will visit again.😊
It is hard to find Indian Restaurants that provide food that actually reach our expectations. But when it comes to Gold Indian restaurant without a doubt, they do it with the best ingredients. Not just the food, but also the management is stunning. …:))
First of all the restaurant has gone through a change of management from Mar-22 and the change was clearly evident.
The new owners and service is extremely warm (Gary and Harry) and accommodating. They cater even way beyond closing time and one feels privileged by their comforting service.
The food arrived within 20 minutes, it was freshly prepared and every curry had a distinct taste to it.
Would definitely love to visit this more frequently with new friends. Will add it to my top indian places and would recommend everyone to try and decide it for themselves.
All the best to the new owners Gary and Harry. Cheers!
P.S Kadai Goat must try
The service is brilliant under the new management and they make their samosas in house and taste divine. Never had any compliant, lovely food, service, ambiance. We had samosa chaat, chicken korma, butter chicken, tandoori roti and saffron rice. Everything tasted divine.
Gold has new owners and they have taken the food and hospitality to the next level! Not only are they great at typical North Indian dishes( just sampled home made Samosas and fried fish), they are very welcoming!
Fabulous family run business. The food is amazing and made to order. The hosts are very hospitable and the costs are reasonable. Great place for Indian cuisine.
