We ordered several dishes and drinks and we enjoyed most of them. However, the table they gave us was in the kitchenette. It was a bit awkward to eat where they bring dirty dishes from the other tables.

Good, spacious place to dine in with great selection of food choices. Always seem crowded all the time even during weekday.
We tried this restaurant many times before and most of the times, the experiences are quite good. We also tried their brand in Deer Park too. Their mee goreng is definitely different at 2 places but still ok.
Service was pretty good too.

Set in an ideal location and close to public transport, Chef Lagenda is the place to go, offering a broad range of deliciously made Malaysian dishes, great ambience and excellent service provided by the Female waiting Staff.

When Malaysian food is what you want than Chef Lagenda is where you wanna go!
Visited over the weekend and was SO pleased by the food.
We tried the traditional curry laksa & meal deal with Roasted Duck and BBQ Pork with chicken soup & egg noodles.
Can't wait to return soon for more dishes!

Very authentic Malaysian food. Laksa is as good as laksa king next door. The three colour drink is not as good as from viet restaurants. Keen to come back and try other dishes.

So.. the one star is a culmination of the whole event..hoping this was just a once off experience. I suspect not since there was no queue to get in and Laksa King down the road was with a queue and wait time. I always remember Chef Lagenda being busier..? Must be precovid..
Seated quickly, table was wiped although still had some food on it. Atmosphere very loud whole being half empty. The waitress seemed quite upset as she noisly slammed chairs in under empty tables..
Anyways.. moving on to the food.. my chicken curry rice came out about 10mins earlier than the other 3 at the table.. they where just only having Meal Deal so wasn't sure the delay.. food itself was average and nothing to write home about.. lacking in gravy..
Meat on the mealdeal was dry (steamed chicken) and the duck had barely any meat.. mostly bones..
I nearly spilled my Curry numerous times as the bowl was a poor design.. see the pics..
.. overall.. don't think I would ever return here :(
A few other items..
No water bottle replaced
Waitress kept coming to try remove my plate (x2) while I was using still trying to help wife atleast get through her meal (not size related).
Hygiene seemed low on the priority..

Usually viewed as the alternative to Laksa King if the latter is full, Chef Lagenda holds its own ground in the flavour department with similar and unique menu items from the Malaysian kitchen. Some dishes tend to be a bit hit and miss though, like the samba seafood dish that looked the part but had zero saltiness to it.
