Review Ena - Melbourne

Asked for a Lamb Souvlaki which suppose to be $15. Was told, they only do Lamb mixed with Chicken. Was still charged $15 even though I really wanted lamb only Souvlaki. Got the souvlaki, and there was much more chicken then lamb. Bit stupid they can't do just a lamb only souvlaki. If its to do with price increases, then increase the cost of lamb only souvlaki, I am prepared to pay! Wont be back, can't respect a Greek place that can't do Lamb only souvlaki!

First time writing a Google review for a place but I have to after today’s experience. The customer service here is extraordinary - most specifically by who I’m assuming is the boss of the place. Since I’m vegan, I normally have a falafel wrap, no chilli, no tzatziki, extra hummus. This guy is an expert at remembering orders and knows my order better than me even though I’ve only been here 4 times. Today, I forgot to mention no tzatziki since I forgot they have tzatziki in them and once he saw my order, he double checked with me and saved me the trouble of having an incorrect wrap (which would’ve been my fault anyway) and still apologised to me even though he wasn’t in the wrong here, so I really, really appreciate that! Thanks again.

Delicious chicken and lamb charcoal spit, be memorized as the meats slowly turning over the charcoal. The flavours are great, that smoke char that the meat gets whilst cooking over charcoal is amazing. Portion sizes are good and the pita bread is soft and pillowy. Service is friendly and quite efficient

20 to 30 mins wait time. By 1pm lamb has always run out. Chicken extremely salty and to top it off burnt pita bread which gave the whole thing a bitter taste. Wont be going back.

The charcoal flame grilled meat aroma led me there. Not many nearby places having such charcoal cooking. Ordered a mixed meat side. The price and serving are reasonable. Wow! The Greek charcoal grilled meat so tender and yummy. Halfway thru my meal, remembered not much meat left on the cooking spit, decided to return and order more for my next meal to share with the family. Got the last order, I'm a happy customer.

THE BEST souvlaki in Melbourne!!! We have tried and tested so many others and ENA tops. Make an effort to go to Spencer Street Outlet at Southern Cross to try this scrumptuous pack with soft, fresh pita and a couple or more of fries in it tells you a fusion going on with the cultural mix between Greece and Melbourne. The lamb souvi is just awesome!! I invite you to come and try for yourself. You pay for good food and it's Melbourne👍😋😘

The best souvlakia i ever had since i moved to AU 3 years ago .. very tasty and delicious. The charcoal grilled meat and chicken is very unique and original .. The prices are extremely reasonable compared to similar places Last but not least the whole crew provide excellent customer service .. To be honest they deserve golden buzz not just 5 ⭐️

Got a lunch pack which was actually very nice. Would have taken photos except some vlákas knocked it out of my hands, so it wasn't pretty by the time I'd scraped as much as I could that didn't hit the floor back into the packet. Good to see them using compostable containers too!

Tried one of their chicken gyros today for lunch and was impressed with the speed in which they get the food out on a busy lunch time surge. The pluses are the fresh ingredients, the chips in the gyros, and the pita bread. The minor negatives are the lack of sauce which makes the gyros a little dry. A real shame as it was overall tasty and fresh. Price was above average but ingredients tasted fresh. Service was super friendly, so will be back to give this place another shot.
Gee
This was a decent snack. A cheese pie from a Greek place. A sizeable amount of filling and served at a nice temperature. $7 is a bit steep but that’s corporate food court prices.

It was ok I guess. I don’t know. I’ve heard lots of people say they’re the best gyros they’ve tried, my guess is they haven’t tried a lot of gyros because this is certainly not an exceptional example. Tastes ok but the lamb seasoning seems to be mostly salt. Very expensive for the size. Service was fast considering how busy they are, which is a plus. And they’re friendly.

This place was crazy buzy. But I decided to order the mixed bowl with lamb and salad. I was worried it would take a while this was not the case!

Service was super quick. Very suprised to get pita bread on the side and service was so good and quite filling for a Friday lunch treat. Will certainly be back.

I thought I'd try ENA out for lunch and I can honestly say I was very disappointed in the service. For $16 there was no value for money based on portion size of the mixed plate and it is highway robbery compared to what you would get elsewhere. It probably would have been cheaper to get a souvlaki as portion size was no different. My portion size could be smaller due to the fact that i asked them to remake my plate as them scaping off tzatziki and adding a bit of meat on top didn't actually remove it and there was certainly tzatziki in the bowel and throughout the salad which could have had major ramifications with my intolerance to Lactose & Fructose. I will not be going back!

Friendly service, staff and managers are always beaming with energy. Best greek street food and falafel I have had. Can get crazy busy on a Friday lunch but always worth the wait.

Went here for lunch. $14 for a Gyros seems on the slightly more expensive side, but I gave it a go anyway. Easily the smallest Gyros I have ever purchased. The meat was decent, but a tiny Gyros with a tiny amount of meat doesn’t even come close to justifying the cost.

Its worth half the price - no exaggeration.

There was a huge queue at lunch today at Ena Greek in Collins Square but I moved exceptionally fast thanks to three people taking orders. The same could be said to the crew who at some pace fulfilled those orders behind the glass fronted coal fire with rotating giro meats. I ordered the mixed giro and didn’t regret it one moment. I can forgive the chips because $14 buys you a top quality giro with a good meat portion. The pita itself was soft and well warmed and overall quite garlicky... which suited me for lunch but perhaps not those in the office. I will no doubt be back.

3.5

We were first timers to this restaurant. We did not make a booking. Wasn't long before we got a table. We made our order and thought this is going to take a while since they are so busy. We were wrong our food was there in 10 mins😁 the waiter explained everything that was bought out on the share platter which was a great to know. Everything on that platter was amazing the saganaki the dolmati the tzatziki everything to die for! As soon as we finished they bought out meat platter to share. That too was absolutely full of flavour and delicious. Meat was also halal hence the reason we went. Definetly will ve going back again!

Ena is one of the more popular joints in the food court if you're after a kebab. I ordered the Lamb Gyros but I have to say it's a more premium price. Unfortunately there was no chips that came with it. I wished they had a combo meal deal with drink as well.

The lamb is sliced in nice chunks, veg is fresh and wrap bread is nice with a few bits of chips in between.

As far as food court fare goes, it doesn't get much better than this. Tasty and fresh Lamb Gyros with Galaktoboureko for dessert.

The Gyros is well seasoned, hot and a generous portion. Service is generally quick and friendly while the Galaktoboureko is tasty and fresh.

Prices here are definitely on the expensive side, but the food here is high quality which does lessen the pain a little.

Food arrived quickly and the lamb and falafel was really tasty. Found it a little bit pricey for what you get, but can't fault the meat or the bread that came with it. We also got a side of chips which could have done with more seasoning. It was also a little surprising that we didn't get fresh chips given the pricing is premium. Overall a good experience and would return.
