Fabulous cafe in Mt Waverley full of love, good coffee, treats and deli foods. The owners and staff are so lovely and friendly, customers are greeted by name and staff knew their coffee orders. While I was here, I had a chai latte and shared some macarons.
When it comes to Italian cuisine, you know you need love, joy and comfort. You will find these ingredients here along with an array of the freshest, quality and artisan produce. I feel spoilt as a local to drop in every time I need to whip up a Mediterranean meal, or just to have coffee with a sinful sweet!
From pastas (frozen and dry) to dips, cheeses cold meats, breads and biscuits ... The list goes on and on! My regular staples here are the olive Ciabatta bread loafs which are addictive- fluffy and cushiony on the inside, chewy, dense and slightly crunchy on the outside. When lightly toasted, this bread is Devine dipped in olive oil or enjoyed with cheeses and cold cuts- for me, this bread does not last till I get home so I always have one for the road (and yes it's not very far!!)!.
The Pancetta here is fantastic to grill or shallow fry with a pasta or a chicken dish, not too much fat with grains of cracked pepper that every now & then explode in your mouth! The cheeses are fantastic here, the sweet knick knacks are irresistible too. As per the other awesome reviews, I must try the Grandmother ham, it sounds too good to be true! : )
The coffee is fantastic (Melba beans), the flavor is full bodied with a smooth finish.
Of course, the service is lovely, the staff are warm and cheerful, the locals are all known to the staff on first name basis! Top produce sold in a happy and down to earth environment!
Lovely coffee, lovely venue.... loving the Deli look and feel. Well of course - it IS a Deli! 😉
They serve Melba organic coffee (award winning). They know their stuff.
Over the years Deli'sh has always been busy and popular, and we often stick our nose in to peruse their excellent selection of cheeses.

I was pleasantly surprised to stumble across a very well-stocked Continental delicatessen in the main Mt Waverley shopping area. They have quite a range of yummy gourmet things - you'd expect this sort of deli in more upmarket areas and less so in modest Mt Wav. Clearly, times are changing and I'm liking this change. They do have limited seating inside and outside for coffee, cakes and toasted sangers. But because Delish is quite popular among the locals we didn't get a chance to score a table until our third visit. One of the big plusses about Delish is that they have Grandmother's ham. Beaker's friend loves this stuff as it's apparently ham that's made the proper way - i.e., just pork and salt. There's no nasty nitrates or water added to the ham. I got some and olive loaf to take home for a quick lunch. It was simply delicious with a generous schmear of whole-egg mayo. The olive loaf was also yum with extra virgin olive oil and sweet, unctuous balsamic that I had bought from there. I loved the cute packaging for the Grandmother's ham. On our second visit, we still didn't get a table so we got some cakes to takeaway. The vanilla slice was gorgeously custardy and generous, and the pastry was crisp and flaky. While the lemon meringue was impressive to behold and delightfully sour. However, the meringue was a tad too sweet for my liking. Finally, on our third visit, we managed to get there early enough on the weekend to have breakfast there. A cheese and ham toastie that was simple and good. And some tea and coffee to go with it, along with the morning paper. The English breakfast tea w
