Review Poked - Melbourne

I had been desperately looking for a vegetarian katsu sando until I found this place and it was absolutely worth it! Crispy tofu, soft Japanese bread, crunchy cabbage and those perfect sauces! It was a treat to eat!

Haven't been to Poked in a while the experience inside seemed abit sad I understand because it's a Sunday and it's slow but it just didnt seem right the customer service seemed like they didn't want to work there it was just sad and quiet. I only gave it 3/5 because of the vibes in store I wasn't sure if I was allowed to dine in or not because the chairs were still there but they didn't give me any chopsticks or forks to eat my bowl when i saw clearly it was there i expected them to hand me some but I didnt bother because of the lack of service towards the end so I had to go and buy it myself.. quite dissapointing.

I came to have a salad and the place was closing before the open hours. The girl from the place said that it was old hours, but the hours opening was on the door. They didn’t want to sell al the salad and they were already cleaning the places 30 minutes before the time it was supposed to closed. I love the food there, that is why I came to this place( 30 minutes from home by car) to be saying that they can not sell a salad. So Disappointed.

Simple and delicious. Easy to order- I recommend building your own unless you really don’t know what you want. The spicy salmon (regular salmon with spicy mayo) is really yummy. Also had one of their pre made “meat” option, thought the beef brisket was not fantastic, preferred the chicken than the beef though surprisingly. Would come back again for a quick lunch option.

"Fast, healthy Japanese cuisine tailor made by you!" Poked is a must try to health nuts or those in love with fresh food, intense flavour and choice. You follow a quick ordering process of request base (be it rice or noodles), toppings (vegetables/protein) and sauces. I personally love their wasabi sauce which is the kick these fresh ingredients need for me. I was in heaven with every bite, so flavoursome and filling. I commend the hard work of Cat and Chiat for guiding me through the ordering process and their genuine customer care and service. These two were amazing to deal with and hope to be served by then again in the future.

Loved the healthy and gluten free yet extremely delicious salad bowls, with so many options to choose from, with myriad flavors. Perfect spot if you're looking for something healthy yet affordable to eat
Nino
The food is delicious and super healthy. The menu has gluten free options available.

Ordered a Surf n Turf which should have had cooked chicken instead I received a bowl with RAW UNCOOKED CHICKEN! Never ordering food from here again. Literally no respect for consumers, called them and the lady laughed and said will take care next time, there’s not gonna be a next time now lady.
Sense Of Food
First time trying Pokéd today. I was hungry and craving some veggies with chicken. I got the Vegie Vibes Small Bowl (Vegetarian) with extra chicken. The bowl consisted of roasted eggplant, sesame mayo, spinach and sweet potato salad, marinated mushrooms, pickled cabbage, edamame, sweet potato crisps (which I substituted with sweet corn). Freshness and flavor wise, I loved it for its price. The normal price without added chicken ($3AUD ~70฿) is $11.95AUD ~265฿. I would order again if I'm craving for poke bowls again!

My go to place for poke bowls :) Love the variety of ingredients you can pick out to create your own bowl. Regular always fills me up. Also appreciate the spicy mayo being left out so you can adjust it to your liking.

I ordered and got my food delivered from Ubereats. When I almost finished eating my food, I found a BIG FAT FLY inside!! Totally disgusting!😡🤮 Take care of your food in the store since it’s summer and flies are everywhere. So disappointed!! I just hope I don’t get a diarrhoea from eating the food!

Very accommodating staff and always has a smile on even though I was asking a lot of questions about the app. Friendly, patient, and didnt get frustrated, so great customer service.

The Hawaiian 4.5/5 - I subbed wonton crisps for crab salad as I love imitation crab, but I wasnt too in love with the ones they used, a little bit harder in texture but still enjoyed it and it was still well seasoned. The pairings in this premade bowl is fantastic! Love the pineapple salsa with the salmon and tuna. Sashimi was fresh. Soy I had on the side but gave the bowl an umami flavour profile. Generous serving even for their small. Good amount of toppings and very balanced. Super refreshing and will definitely come back for more!

I had a good experience at the one on little collins so I tried this one. However, the staff gave us less amount than expected. The bowl is not filled up and the chips are burned thus taste bitter. Really belittled the overall taste:(
Eating Away Melbourne
First time try Poked and I think I will order it again. There are three sizes to choose from you can also choose to have their set ingredient ones.

I ordered the surf and turf, poached chicken and prawn, with brown rice and some sides on the top. I love the spicy mayo sauce and added sweet corn as well. The flavour was amazing! Food was ready really quickly as well! Very healthy! Loved it!

Poke bowl ($11.95)
⭐️ 4/5 ⭐️
🍴Yummy healthy #pokebowls that comes with a generous and nice variety of sides. While they do fully customizable bowls, we went with their preset options. The Hawaiian came with salmon and tuna flavoured with honey soy which was lightly sweet & salty while Lava Spice was salmon with spicy mayo. Both of the sauces were quite little so it’s great that there is free flow on the side for one to add to their desired flavour profile. All the sides from edamame to cabbage were fresh and good and I especially liked the crunchy texture that the wonton skins added. Only wish was for there to be more protein portion 😅
📍@pokedau, Shop 3, 551 Little Lonsdale Melbourne, Victoria, Australia
#cafehoppingkidsmelbourne

This is one of my go to place for lunch during weekdays. Although there are a few places that serve Poke bowl around the area but I always go here even though I though I have to walk a bit more.
Their prices are also nominal and have good options to choose from. Even though it is very busy during lunch time, queue moves pretty quick. There is not good dine- in space hence I mostly prefer a takeaway.
I would definitely recommend this place.

Feeling like deconstructed sushi-ish? Than this is the place for you!!! Healthy-ish and hearty-ish. Would recommend the salmon sashimi poked bowls but with extra protein I find it a little stingy on the servings for protein

When you forget your lunch at work and not sure what healthy option to have you try a Poke Bowl. I'll agree I was skeptical at first but i loved the fast you could make your own! **went on own accord

I've been here couple of times, a great place for poke. (3.8)

The place is pretty nice, not too many seats though as it's more popular for takeaways. Staffs were always really nice too.

I lava spice is probably my favorite. The components all worked well, though I don't really like the japaleno so I have them swapped for something else. Nonetheless, I like the wonton crisps which added texture in the dish!

I've also tried the hawaiian and vegie vibes which were both great but they probably lack tad bit taste? The hawaiian wasn't very generous with the fish as it is with i lava spice too.

Also once the pineapple salsa (uber) was uneatable which was disappointing. Would recommend the wasabi mayo

Overall though it was a great joint or just a quick filling, affordable and "healthier" lunch. Also great for delivery of course.

( follow for more!✨)

xx,joelle.

The Hawaiian is very delicious! The serving speed is also very fast. I came here at a Sunday afternoon, not very crowded. Can be taken
away. A good place to have a fast meal.

I love the poké bowls from here! My go-to bowl is The Hawaiian with brown rice as the base. Such a colourful, filling bowl with pops of different flavours with every mouthful.
The team is always lovely in this store and they're quick and efficient.
Madhu
Love this place, had been here once as I was wandering around and got hungry and kept going back for more, you get these fresh healthy bowls that are quite filling and the vegetarian/vegan options are delicious too, the price is slightly on the higher side but you do get quite a bit (quantity wise).
Good place overall
Amy Ch
Though not a cheap eat, very healthy option close to workplace, plenty of options to choose from.
Fast and polite service.
I have tried the vegetarian and chicken salads with brown rice base and spicy mayo dressing.
Never get bored of these

Rating: 5
I came back to my favourite poke bowl store on my one day off in a very long time. The atmosphere was ecstatic yet peaceful. Staff are super friendly. I felt amazing, coming into a refreshing smell, maybe because I knew I was going to be eating some good nutritious yet yummy grub.

I ordered brown rice, with a heap of toppings since that’s what they do best; such as a generous handful of classic seaweed salad, creamy crab salad, very crispy and addicting fried shallots and sweet potato crisps.

Nothing bad to say. It is the best place. Highly recommend.

😱Lizzie’s first impression: Time and time again - this place delivers the freshest and consistent poke bowls. One of the first poke bowl concepts to arrive in Melbourne.

🍩Lizzie enjoyed: I love all of the flavours on the board - however you can make your own if you wish. My favourite is the spicy prawns and the spicy tuna with brown rice bowl.

🍅Lizzie did not enjoy: N/A

🥇Lizzie rates overall: I’ve had my share of poke bowls and I dare say this place does the best poke bowls in Melbourne!

Tried Poked for lunch today and was utterly dissapointed.

I created a small bowl with salad base and eggplant as my protein. The salad was not fresh at all and there was hardly any eggplant in my bowl.

I am honestly surprised by the rating.

You can never go wrong with Poked! Have been a loyal customer since day 1. Great customer service and food. I always go for the ‘the big kahuna’ or just build my own poke bowl. Love their choice of toppings, like how they have something very healthy and not so healthy (but yummy) at the same time. Have been recommending to a lot of people around me and they all love it
Some Bunee Loves Food
Yummy poked bowl here. The salmon one is my favorite. Drizzled in spicy mayo, crispy won ton skin, jalapeños, edamame, cabbage, and green salad. It is a light refreshing meal yet filling.
LingT
Healthy and hearty meal. Ingredients are fresh, fasts service and budget friendly.

Love the spicy salmon poke bowl. Small size is sufficient for a full meal

Real rating 4.3 ⭐️

A friend had brought me to visit Poked on Healeys Lane. At that time, I was not aware of the existence of poke bowls until I had one here! It has changed my life since that day 😜

The purpose of a poke bowl is to essentially create your own meal with a bowl of protein and toppings which comes with rice, salad, soba noodles or quinoa! How cool is that?!

The number of protein and toppings that goes into the bowl is dependent on the size you are after - the bigger means more protein and toppings! I went for the regular bowl which came with 2 protein and 5 toppings.

I had gone for the brown rice as the based with a protein of chicken and organic tofu. I had opted sesame mayo as the sauce with spinach and sweet potato as a side salad. Finally, the toppings I got were picked cabbage, edamame, pickled ginger, sweet corn and sweet potato crisps!

Overall, I was pleased with my friend’s choice of bringing me here as I would continue not knowing too much about what poke bowls are!
Flying Forward
Quite a busy location, the small branch can get cramped and loud during lunchtimes.
The Hawaiian had a good amount of salmon and sashimi cubes, and for a small size it's good value and can be surprisingly filling due to the brown rice.
Lots of flavour and texture contrasts going on between the soy dressing, pineapple salsa and pickled cabbage but it's a good balance. When you mix it up the wonton chips provide a nice crunch every now and then.
There are extra sauces on the side table, including sriracha mayo, which gives it a spicy, creamy kick.
These poke bowls are slowly getting further and further away to what poke actually is, but if you take it for what it is, it's not bad, and that's a decently healthy and nutritious salad.

If you need a quick, easy and fairly healthy lunch/ dinner fix, this place is for you!

Originally introduced to me by a friend, it has been an occasional place to stop by because of its convenient location which is only a few minutes walk away from Flagstaff train station! Alternatively you can choose to take tram 96/ 86 from Bourke Street, get off at Stop 7 - Russel Street and walk for a short 3 minutes!

Dish: 'Choose Your Own' regular sized bowl. Comes with 2 proteins and 5 toppings of your choice.

Base: Brown Rice
Protein: Organic Tofu + Chicken
Sauce: Spicy Mayo
Side salad: Pineapple Salsa
Toppings: 2 servings of Crab Salad + Kimchi + Jalapeno + Sweet Corn

Food presentation: Nothing special. Comes in a simple recyclable takeaway bowl (except for the plastic lid). But kudos for not using a plastic container/ bowl!

Food taste/ quality: I am usually a very health conscious person so I go with brown rice which I find they cook fairly well! It's not the easiest to cook brown rice to the right texture, but I personally find Pokéd does it pretty well! If you are not a brown rice fan you can ask for a combo of half brown rice + half white rice / full white rice.

I love the soft organic tofu, it's one of my favourite go to protein! Perfect for vegetarians too! I strongly urge spice lovers to try their wasabi mayo or spicy mayo sauce! It's so good! It will definitely be able to satisfy your spice craving tastebuds!

Price: $11.95. Not too bad for a quick bowl filled with flavors of sorts! I find the small sized bowl way too small so I strongly recommend at least a regular sized/ large sized bowl!

Ambience: Average. Not many tables and quite a small place. Usually people come for a quick meal or to takeaway.

Service: Friendly and polite staff. Food is prepared at a very fast pace.

With love,
Ying 😌💕

I created my own bowl with a soba noodle base and salmon, tofu and chicken for the protein. I thought it was generally quite enjoyable. The spicy mayo sauce was delicious, but I would have loved more of it. I especially loved the kimchi, seaweed salad and edamame. So nice and fresh! The best thing was the crispy shallots. They were really crunchy and flavourful.
The downsides were that the soba noodles were way too cold. Like near icy cold. The salmon didn’t seem particularly fresh or tasty, which was a bit of a let down. It’s also little pricey. My large bowl came to near $20 with all add ons, which is a fair bit for what is essentially a salad bowl.
I think overall the poke bowls are nice and healthy, but some ingredients are probably better to choose than others.
Karina J
The Hawaiian poke bowl is good. The ingredients are fresh and it was a quick and easy takeaway lunch option. However, I prefer the bowls at poke man as it is easier to create your own bowl and the bowls are mixed as opposed to having the ingredients separated.

First poke place I tried in Melbourne and I instantly fell in love! I always built my own bowl with : salad, salmon + tuna, spicy mayo, pineapple salsa, wonton crisps, seaweed salad, and crab salad.

My total came up to 10.95 and this is very reasonable for how full you become.

Highly recommended!

Poke has been trend for healthy food and this is one of the many ones
that I've been meaning to visit. Finally had a chance to go and I have to
say I was not disappointed. The shop is a bit on the small side, so it's
probably better for to-go.
Linda
This is hands down my absolute favourite poke place!! Not only are all the ingredients super fresh, but the suggested combos are SPOT ON combos with creative inclusions. It’s also efficiently run with enough one seater/bench seating. So loved!!! So many return visits! If you’re not into poke usually, you will change your mind after this.

Second time here & I really enjoyed my meal! 😋I love how you get to customise what you want , or opt for pre designed options! I paid about $10ish for a small bowl & I could barely finish it! They were generous with the toppings and I think it is a super value for money meal destination in the CBD area. A small bowl is $9.90 and comes with a protein and 3 toppings of your choice! Of course, there is a rice/soba base and complimentary sauces and salads that come with it! I did not really fancy the pineapple salsa 🍍& they offered to give me an additional topping which was amazing 🤩 I ended up with salmon (+1), seaweed salad, corn, crab salad wnd wonton crisps which were all tied up together with my favourite wasabi mayo. Some proteins and toppings cause extra but it is nothing that breaks the bank! 🤑 You can also opt for their other sizes like regular & large which I would imagine to be for the bigger eaters. I love how the food is healthy yet super yummy at the same time. 🥗 Will definitely come back for more soon

The one and only poke in my life is the Big Kahuna bowl with brown rice from Poked. When I'm lucky enough to find that they're available on Uber, that's my pick and I recommend all those lovers of poke to go all out and give this fresh, fast and filling option from Poked!
Garry Huang
Bit underwhelming tbh. It was yummy and the ingredients were fresh and vibrantly coloured, but it was nothing special. Not too expensive though, I would probably eat it again if I ever touched a health trend or diet. I wish they were a bit more generous with the fish and pineapple.
The Food Book
Really good pokebowls at a reasonable price. Usually have the big kahuna because I love the combination of prawns, salmon and the spicy mayo. The sides also help cut the intense flavour with the crispy wonton (amazing) crisps and the crab salad as well as the seaweed salad.

First time to try this. I’m so impressed with the taste and the portion! Great value for healthy yet delicious food. Will definitely come back again 👍🏻
SJFU
Relatively good Poke! The bowls are well-designed and served with great generosity, a regular size here is definitely a large size elsewhere. Ingredients all fresh and tasty except the sad pineapple for some reason. Overall great value for healthy food, and decent service.

We are so hungry and decided to order poked from uber eats. Oh man first time i ate this, and i fell in love already! The spicy mayo and salmon was a good combo! Seaweed salad and kimchi was fresh too.. the wonton skin make it deliciousy crunchy and unique. We ordered customs poke bowl in regular size. The portion was huge considering the price was quite cheap. Will order more from poked! A way to eat healthy food and deliciously good😋
#BHAsFoodDiary

IT wad my first time trying poke bowl so i dont have much to compare it to however it was delicious and light. i ordered the spicy bowl but customised it with a change of sauce and no edamame beans. It tasted really fresh and i enjoyed it. looking forward to trying different types of poke bowls.
the service was quick and friendly.
the price was good for what you receive. i ordered a small and it filled me up.

I'm doing it! I'm going the 5 rating! Poke'd in its field of casual dining truly deserves this high rating as there are really no areas available for improvement where variety, taste, visual appeal, and service is concerned. The food is fresh, vibrant, delicious, and offering of healthy alternatives (or heavier, for those asking). The meat and seafood options are sous-vide to perfection and accompany the brown rice perfectly. Sauce combinations are perfection, with a favourite being the spicy mayo. Make your own or tweak any one of the existing menu options; everything is customisable! Couldn't recommend enough.

First time trying Poké and I was so very impressed. I found it to be very cheap considering how large the ‘small’ bowl was. Quick and friendly service, would definitely visit again

Poké is a classic Hawaiian dish that combines fresh fish, hot sushi rice and diced vegetables, I’d say it’s like having an opened sushi in the bowl. The main idea of this store is to prove the fast food can also be healthy. Poked adds the list of healthy bar shops to satisfy and conform to Melbournian healthy lifestyle.

I was so excited when I heard a Poke place had opened near my work because i love poke. Poked DO NOT use Suhshi grade salmon. The first time I tried them I felt there was something off with the salmon as it had streams of big fat (you would only get from normal cooking salmon). I gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried them again. Never again! i would rather pay $5 delivery and get Poke me from south Yarra.
Their portions are also small compared to other places. They fill the bottom with brown rice and don't put an adequate amount on top! Do yourself a favour and go to Nosh instead!

I visited this Hawaian-Style fast-food shop because of the recommendation from my friend.
It's a convenient shop for take away healthy lunch.
The shop is clean and the thing that I liked is that I can see that they are preparing food.
Ordered "the Hawaian" with brown rice which looked colourful and the taste was good. However, the tuna wasn't fresh.

I always end up ordering from Pokéd whenever I am uncertain about what I want for lunch. They have a wide variety of poke bowls that are all healthy and taste amazing. There are also vegetarian/vegan options too. The best part is, they also do UberEats!!
Guest84314
Visited this particular outlet many times as they are the only poked that opens in the evening. Delicious fresh food with lots of flavour and texture. My favourite topping is crab salad, wonton crisps, edamame, and pickled cabbage.
Decent Feed
Never tried poke bowls before, but I thought I’d give it a shot after hearing my colleagues say good things about it.
I like how they’re very flexible with the menu as you can pick and choose whatever sauces, toppings you want (if you don’t want to go with their set menu). For the protein, I went with tofu, and sesame mayo as the sauce- which I thought made a tasty combination. The wonton crisps also made a nice textural contrast to the smooth tofu and rice.
This place is fast and convenient, and is great if you are on the go and getting it takeaway.
Jasmine
First time poke bowl and late to the hype!

Review:
It was an interesting fit to how I normally eat. I like to pick things and make little organizations of flavours before I take a bite so that it's "different" in the sense that I get a false sense of variety. Everything was cooked well and flavoured nicely. I saved the wonton crisps till last, because I like finishing on that crunchy texture.

Over time it got a little boring though, and a little bland. Tofu can only do so much, so perhaps choosing a more protein heavy dish (like beef) would add more dimension to the dish. Would've also liked more warmth/a cooked element apart from the rice of the dish. Seeing how most of the dish was "cold", it'll be nice on a hot Melbourne day!

But Poked was not a bad first try, seeing how popular it was!

Food:
Bean Me Up (small): Tofu, hawaiian soy, broccoli, cabbage, edamame, seaweed, wonton shallots ($9.95) + cauliflower and quinoa rice ($2).
DuckieLovesToEat
This franchise seems to be really getting very popular in Melbourne. We had heard so much about it that we want to know what is this all hype about. I love pineapple so anything that has pineapple in it, I am sold. It has now been decided. Big Kahuna it is! It was good. But I find the salmon not very fresh hence the rating. Wait staff are efficient.
Heidi
Refreshing selection of salad or rice bases with protein, side salad and toppings; some set items and customisable options!

Perfect for a quick clean lunch with quick service. Most branches with limited seating but it's a good takeaway option.

Had "The Hawaiian" bowl which had a nice selection of toppings but will probably customise a bowl next time to exchange the wonton crisps and sauce

I love Poké bowls and seeing them all over Instagram, knowing how delicious and healthy they are, of course I was eager to try Pokéd out! And it was truly a 5/5.

Food:
With a choice to build my own Poké or choose one on the menu, me being my indecisive self wasn’t sure which one I wanted. The lovely cashier suggested the most popular Hula Hula Chook as I wanted something sweet, and it was perfect. Alhough it was the smaller size, the bowl and serving size was still in my opinion, quite large! The bowl was full of fresh; vibrant, vegetables, chicken, and more, presented nicely. The sauce drizzled on top (pineapple teriyaki) was so delicious, a sweet honeylike soy sauce I could not get enough of. The chicken was tender and well seasoned. And the wonton crisps, crisp 10/10, a good portion, so crunchy and yummy. The brown rice was also cooked well and through. I was so full by the time I saw the bottom of the bowl. Overall I could not have asked for a better Poké! Will 100% return.

Service:
I was actually offered a voucher, however, there were technical difficulties relating to it being already expired and not working. Today was a hot day and I was in a rush, the cashier not only offered me a glass of cold water, figured out my order calmly, patiently and kindly, and approved it although it would not work. With a smile on her face she even followed my Instagram. Amazing customer service. Within 2 minutes of ordering, my Poké bowl was prepared and served!

Ambiance:
Located on Little Lonsdale Street, and today being a 40 degree day, not many people were out and about. However, there were a reasonable amount of customers coming in and out to enjoy a meal, and nice pop music playing in the background.

The Dear Luncher
What’s the difference between this Pokéd and the one up the road. NOT MUCH. Is this really what Hawaiian people eat?! Who knows, we will just have to take their word for it.

This time around The Dear Luncher opted for chicken as the main source of protein. The chicken is very cube-like and could not hold a candle to the beef steak. Next time it will be steak all the way. Unfortunately that’s where it begins and ends for The Dear Luncher. None of the fish type options are appealing.

Pro-tip: combine the spicy mayo sauce with jalapenos as one of your toppings, for a tidal wave of spice.
Kamna Kartik
You'd never expect a poké place to have vegetarian options, let alone vegan options, let alone SUCH GREAT ONES! We tried the Bean Me! Bowl and also a customised bowl with tofu, teriyaki sauce, edamame, kimchi, and spinach, drizzled with soy and mayo sauce!
Both were absolutely delicious, and even the small size were quite filling.
Every ingredient was super fresh and it was very quickly put together and served.

Highly recommend this place!
Kris
Everything about Pokéd is great.

Create your own dish or choose one of their already made dishes. Prices are reasonable and affordable.

A quiet location and I am just dreaming about my next trip back!

Wow I love this Pokéd store! The food is so fresh, healthy and tasty!! I had a bowl with cold soba noodles, pickled cabbage, edamame, seaweed salad, tofu with dried chilli powder & wonton crisps. The serving is generous but surprisingly i managed to finish it. I highly recommend this place.

First time trying this sensation. Tasted super fresh. Had me thinking whether I had a salad or a main meal. It was amazing to think that a dish touched so little by heat could yield such a burst of flavor. Got element of pleasure derived from eating a sashimi from the delicate salmon, tuna and soy combination. Interesting use of crispy wonton skin as a textural variation, reminiscent of crispy wonton inside a Beijing style wrap. Brown rice was perfectly cooked, not coarse. Japanese style seaweed added complexity of flavor. Felt clean and healthy after the meal.
Munching Pandas
Poked is a hawaiian inspired rice bowl where they put a slightly healthier variation to the bowl. Its quite fun though cause you can customize your own menu beside their own designs.

Panda 🐼🐼🐼:
Great variation
Able to customize
Large portion
Quick service
Taste is not bad but not that good also

Pandon’t ❌❌❌:
A bit pricy
Inconsistent food quality

Had catch up with my friend here. Very nice combination with good price! Healthy and yummy. The customer service is also very nice! Will definitely go back again!

I had the 'Open Sesame' bowl from the new store on Collins St. It was super delicious and flavoursome. I will definitely be getting this more often, and telling people to get it!
Alexis Chan
Had salmon,chicken and prawn.
Salmon was not fresh
Before eat, you'd better mix the salt with meat, otherwise, meat would be tasteless and stuff at the top would be salty.
In general,average.

Came here on a Friday at around 4pm so it was already past the lunchtime peak. Decided to get a choose your own bowl, which the girl who served me was very friendly with when I was ordering. I got a regular bowl with tofu and salmon, and for toppings I got avocado, edamame, pickled cabbage, seaweed salad and crab salad. Couldn’t choose between the sauces so I got both Hawaiian soy and sesame mayo (for free). Overall, it was a very fresh, healthy and light, yet also very filling meal - definitely worth for the price!
Good Food Good Mood
I was excited to be invited to try Poké’d as I fell in love with this dish in Hawaii and it perfectly suits my current embrace of a healthy lifestyle. I love the fresh taste of the quality ingredients, it’s such a simple concept but I’m delighted to see its rapid expansion across the Melbourne quick lunch/takeaway scene as it fills a gap in the market for a choice that is light and makes you feel good. There are so many delicious options to chose from too, ten different types of bowls on the menu or even make your own. I chose to customise and once again there are so many options you could never tire of creating winning combinations, particularly as the variety of sauces really changes it up too. Vibrant and delicious

Went here for the first time with a friend the other day and it was fantastic. The poke bowls were made from all fresh ingredients and were very tasty. It has become our new place to venture out and eat at. Would highly recommend this place for anyone. Great customer service too!

My mouth was on fire after eating I Lava Spice but in an absolute good way. It combines many of my favourite with Jalapeño peppers and fiery mayo as well as salmon sashimi... all good friends of mine. The photos don’t do justice to the quantity of sashimi because it was buried under all the other vibrant ingredients. This the the fourth item from the Pokéd menu across 3 different stores and I can only sing their praise for consistency and taste.
Danielle Nguyen
The love the concept of these bowls. They are so light and flavoursome. Super affordable and you can easily takeaway the food. It's something that your can always come back to. I loved the Hawaiian one!
Betty Tran
Love the food here! Fresh, delicious and so healthy! However the music can be too loud so your order gets misheard if you wanted any variation. The staff are very nice though!
Affogato Addiction
Poke is a rather new cuisine to Melb. Hopefully it catches on more as it's simple but delicious. Poked offers pretty quick, reasonably priced meals. It is semi fast food style. Eat in is served in disposable containers.
Tasty but the sauces could be have a bit punchier. So rating is where I put and expect semi-fast food.

I loved the freshness and juicy taste of their Poke bowls. The sauce goes perfectly with everything. Also, it opens from noon till night non-stop,which is a great life saver for a hungry stomach at 3:30pm.

As Melbourne's food culture keeps growing rapidly, Pokéd
brings a delicious, nutritious and cost effective alternative...and I am obsessed! This place is amazing! Such a simple idea, great location and cannot fault these poke bowls. As mentioned by a previous review, would love to know the nutritional information as I am sure these are as healthy as they look, and if not, meh...won't stop me eating them!

Simple, fresh and delicious. I almost always get the 'I Lava Spice' and take it to eat outside in the sun. Great value and as it doesn't need to be cooked it comes out quick.

As healthy as this is, I'm just not a huge fan. I was actually so excited to try one of these poked bowls especially seeing them all over social media and it kinda left me disappointed. I don't really like the concept. It taste a bit bland. I was expecting more. On the plus side, it is a good option for a healthy lunch.

Awesome food which is fresh and delicious. The team at poked are friendly and offer excellent service. During the lunch rush you can expect to wait around 5-10 minutes and roughly 1-2mins at any time after around 3pm.

Value for money yummy bowls. Had the salmon which was really fresh. The mayo adds a nice zing to the dish. Chicken and prawns were really good too. Goes well with brown rice.

Had the 'Bean me up' in the larger size and boy oh boy...a small will definitely fill you up. All the flavours in the dish meshed well together, the rice was delish and the wonton crisps were a nice touch. It's a little bit out of the way but worth the journey!

Salmon and crab salad are just my favourites. Sorta healthy, small size is big enough and the fact you can have half brown rice half salad is pretty good. Meet it's been always my last option, salads are nice, nice staff, tasty chicken, quite cold shop in winter( smoothie is not from there)

Not going to lie I'm here at least 4 times a week which means I am most definitely a fan. I've only shaved a bit off the rating system because I'm here so often. I've seen very different results on the food spectrum, which changes regularly. I've also had my order messed up a few times, but I do understand the staff were new and in training. Props for them giving their new staff a red hot go, practice makes perfect. At the end of the day, I know where I'll poke, right here.

Update tight ship here, still hitting it up on the regular, legit probably the only place I get my fiber from.

Love the freshness of the sashimi and the salad, plus the warm brown rice and Hawaiian soy sauce. And edamame! aaand wonton crisps!! those combinations deserve a total yeayyy for one heavenly Poke Bowl! Love it.

I am so obsessed with this place. The food is just too good with friendly and quick service. As long as nothing changes for the worse, I'll continue to come back.

You can make your own deconstructed sushi bowl here or alternatively pick one on the menu. Everything is always fresh and always tasty. I highly recommended this place.

For business suggestions: I would love to know the nutritional value, so adding some notices on the boards would be amazing too.

Refreshing, healthy, well balanced, pretty (those colours on the plate) and quite delicious.

Had the Hawaiian. The pickle cabbage is way too mild for me. Can hardly taste any pickling of it. While the pineapple salsa.. I won't even call it a salsa. Just the chopped veg. Having saying that, the other components in it is delicious and the taste complements each other well and the wanton crisps lifted the whole game.

Fast food that is healthy and delicious - tick. Hawaiian and sushi inspired fast food - oh you got my attention!

Choose from their varied menu or make your own combination from the base, protein, sauce and toppings. I had crab salad, salmon sashimi, prawns, tobiko, seaweed salad, edamame and wonton crisps with spicy mayo on a bed of white rice. The ingredients were fresh and my selection was tasty and so very filling! My friend wisely picked a small Hawaiian and loved her dish.

Quick and friendly service that suits people in a hurry. If eating in then expect it's a fast food setup. What an excellent laneway discovery!

Was wanting to try this place for a while. So happy I did, how Delish! The salmon and tuna mix was amazing and fresh. I felt healthy and nourished the rest of the day. Well done poked!!
Can't wait to visit again :)
I get poked delivered to my work most days. You can pick and choose your salad to preference - which is great if you're picky like me! It's great to have for lunch because it's a salad made interesting. So if you are trying to eat healthy, this will definitely help - it's tasty and convenient!
Katrina Jorna
We both had The Hawaiian, which has sashimi salmon and tuna, pineapple salsa, pickled cabbage, edamame, seaweed salad, wonton crisps, roasted sesame over rice, except I switched out my pineapple for more cabbage (should have asked for more seaweed salad but I got paralyzed under pressure at the register).
Passion For Food
Great place to drop by for a quick lunch. Food is delicous and pretty reasonable for a Melbourne CBD lunch ($10-15 depending on bowl size). Tastes fresh and even good for you!

Small indoor shop with limited seating. Best to avoid peak lunch period to get a seat. Staff friendly and knowledge about the menu.

A must try lunch spot!

Really enjoyed the concept behind this joint! The food is refreshing , simple and well portioned. Quick food that doesn't make you feel guilty! Wonderful team of workers and would love to come back!

Why did it take me so long to come here? This place is great! We've seen millions of Poke bowls on facey and Insta and they look so pretty but so they taste as good? Hell yes! Poked is great, there can be a line but it moves quickly. They have a selection of their bowls to choose from (made fresh) like the Hawaiin or the Hula Hula Chook or the Big Kahuna OR you can build your own. I wanted to build my own because I'm greedy and I wanted all my fave ingredients. You choose your base, either white rice, brown rice, salad or half/half. Then you choose your sauce (I had the sesame mayo which was divine!), you choose your proteins (I had salmon and tofu which were both fresh and tasty and delicious), then you choose your toppings (I had broccoli, edamame, corn, wonton crisps, crab salad and pickled cabbage). I went 4 others and we all loved it. Will definitely be back!

Today afternoon I bought "Open sesame" and it was juts Yummmmm. The chicken was soft and juicy coated with sesame mayo.Sweet potato salad was tasty but the bowl had only little, wish there was more...
Pickled cabbage was nice and the wonton crisps added a lot of crunch to my lunch:-)

Will surely visit again and try the others.Thank you Poked.

"Bloody Amazing". Fresh, healthy, perfect portions. Never had this style of food before. Glad we have it a go. What a way to finish off the weekend.
Kristina Maria
Cheap healthy food! The size is reasonable compared to the price, i had the small size and was full. Crab salad and wonton crisp are highly recommended, although all toppings are delish. The only improvement i would suggest is to provide a spoon; i feel like scraping the bowl.

Yummy delicious food here. It's good during the lunch rush. Had it delivered with no problems. Food is fresh and healthy without tasting bland.

You might have noticed beautiful bowls of fresh cubed fish, rice and salad called Poké trending on Instagram lately. Pronounced PO-KAY, it is a traditional Hawaiian dish that had been reimagined and become one of the hottest foods for the health conscious. So naturally, I had to go and check it out despite being a little skeptical that it was a glorified bowl of salad. Boy was I wrong.

Pokéd is the first joint in Melbourne dedicated to serving up Poké and is so far, still my favourite place to get my poké fix. Sparsely fitted out with a touch of a tropical theme in the wallpaper, there is only bar seating here so its more of an ideal place to go for a quick feed or grabbing something to go. The staff here are always lovely and this place really gets busy during lunchtime on weekdays. However, the place calms down if you drop by for dinner - so no queue!

The menu is simple - you can choose to have a poké bowl designed by them or build your own. I am in love with the poké bowls designed by them as everything just goes together so well without the stress of picking out everything yourself. My favourite is the Hawaiian, which, with an assortment of veggies, has a generous serving of sashimi salmon and tuna dressed with some flavoursome Hawaiian soy and pineapple salsa. And did I mention I love the addition of wonton crisps to the poké bowls here? I also love that all their ingredients are super fresh and their poké sauces, which are probably the tastiest I've had in Melbourne, are all made in-house.

That said, you pretty much can't go wrong with anything on their menu here - everything is super tasty and importantly, healthy too! And if you don't like raw fish, they also have chicken, steak and prawns options!

Remember when Pokemon GO got everyone outside their houses and even nerds like me can socialise with other socially-awkward nerds by spinning virtual pokeballs at Ratata’s? Williamstown beach remembers. Great times. (Still waiting for that epic Mew event)

Similarly awesome, Poke (pronounced Poh-kay) is a Hawaiian dish hailing from the island of Lays, Luau’s and cocktails by the beach. It’s a great Spring/Summer time meal when Melbourne isn’t engulfed in the bitter cold and temperamental pressure systems.

That being said, every time is Poke time. Poked brings the Hawaiian dish to our beloved CBD and judging by the queues – everyone enjoys getting poked, in more ways than one.

The awesome:

- Surf and Turf: Anything you sous-vide instantly becomes better and the chicken remained tender and moist. The prawns were plump and bursty to the bite and every bite was awesome. The spicy mayo packed a nice little, ‘Hello’ and I appreciated that. Not too hot or too mild, the Goldilocks of spicy mayos. There are so many things going on, it’s like a tasting platter in a bowl. Recommended.
- Highly customisable: Poked has a set menu (when you cannot be arsed using your brain) or you can customise your lunch order like a pimped out Kia Soul.

The not-so-awesome:

- Lines are long during lunch.. because people be hungry. But, the assembly line staff are efficient so you’ll get your food without much of a wait.
- Only available in the CBD! If only there were some way I can get Poke in the West…

Last time I checked, Poked has opened a new location closer to my work on Collins! If you’re looking for a quick healthy (sorta) lunch and love sashimi, I would recommend getting Poked.

We are tourists from Hong Kong. We ordered take away and had this wonderful salad in our hotel 2 days in a row! It's purely amazing! I love Melbourne because of this!

Delicious and fast food! Service is always quick and prompt. You can even customize your own bowl if none of the set dishes fits your tastebuds!
KLLYXNG
Really appreciated the fact that this place doesn't overcharge for their seafood meats.
I thought that their serving was very fitting and they didn't add too much salad or rice in my poke bowl. I designed my own bowl with salmon as a protein and they pair really well with edamame, tobiko and avocado as I've tried those on different occasions.
Totto
Had always been haphazard to walk in as most people have told me it was a glorified salad joint, but this was a delish lunch and I'd happily return, I got the "Raising the Steaks" but will be more dating next time and get the traditional poke with seafood.

Food was healthy and delicious🙌🏻 restaurant is not really nice to eat in though - didn't particularly like having to face the wall while eating (and really close to the wall as well).
