We hesitated because the place is a bit old and run down. However, we were quite surprised that the food tasted really good. Delicious, schnitzel roll made fresh and the hot chips were amazing, crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. Couldn't stop eating them.
I will never judge a book by it cover again.

Great Value, Great Food, Great Coffee, Great Staff. Love this place. Been going here for over 20 years as the quality of food has always been great. Staff are always pleasant and courteous. The coffee is never burnt & you can get a filling meal for under $10. Best coffee in the Plaza.

Always delicious. The coffee here is surprisingly one of the best, and most consistent that I've had in Northcote. I come here quite a bit when I just want something cheap for lunch. The portions are huge and taste great.

They are almost always busy but I've never seen them get flustered or rude towards customers.

I'd definitely recommend Thyme To Eat as a place to go out with friends for a quick, cheap lunch.
