It’s my first time here. I liked the idea of the old school burgers. I had the Andrews with the lot (not pictured), full of flavour, definitely wanted more. The place is clean and comfortable and the services was fast and friendly.

Last night we ordered 2 beef burgers, 1 chicken burger & 1 junior burger with 2 servings of chips. The burgers were old school style (just the way we like them) & so juicy (but not greasy) & full of flavor..& the chips.. well they’re probably one of the best we’ve ever had. We’ve found it hard to find a place that does both burgers & chips perfectly. The service was also very friendly. So glad we’ve discovered this little gem. Highly recommend.
5 minutes walk from the very iconic #QueenVictoriaMarket, we loved all the burgers we had at Andrew's burgers.
The American Cheese Chicken, and Crispy Chicken one (forgot the name) had our taste buds relishing every bite of it.
Total Value for money and efficient service.
Great burgers and huge serving as well! Love the ambience in their Franklin st. store. The Lot has great patty, soft bun and nicely sauced burger.
Came here on a Thursday evening and it was a quarter full. There is a decent amount of seating but a lot of people seem to take away. Wasn't sure what to expect as I never heard of their burgers but I was not disappointed. They smelled amazing before we even entered the place. Standard pricing but the burgers are bigger than average and so are the small chips. They were both delicious and not greasy at all. I had the Smokey Robinson; patty was tender, bacon was crisp but not hard and perhaps if I had to pick a negative, it would be the double cheese which was melting but the flavour was weak. Nice sauce. A good buy for a total of $16.
Having been to the Albert Park location 7 years ago I was delighted to see one pop up in the CBD, something to break away from the new wave of burger shops popping up all over the place.
True to its concept, the food came out in canteen paper bags. Portions are huge, burger is large as were the chips which were a small serving. We have to start off with the fresh chips which were almost demolished before I began the burger, addictive chicken salt and had plenty of crispy bits. The potato cake is just a fried item you can't get wrong, lovely seasoned, crisp outer layer and soft potato inside.
The Smokey Robinson burger was not as aesthetically pleasing as most burgers these days but had a juicy patty, fell in love with the pickles which were nicely balanced and a bit of saltiness from the bacon. Buns may seem large but when you get to the middle it all came together.
An old school burger joint. Made fresh in front of you, highly recommend the Andrews beef burger. Also unless you can eat 6 horses only get a small chips :). Nice young man also called Andrew flipping the burgers!
Andrew's Hamburgers on Franklin Street is the CBD outpost of the iconic Melbourne take away burger joint in Albert Park. If you've never had a tuck shop burger - or of course feeling nostalgic - it's a great burger to recommend. . Andrew's Burger with the Lot (Beef) $12.50. Classic option from any Australian take away store, it brings back a lot of childhood memories of good times.
I had a 'secret menu' item. If you ask for the secret menu, they will provide this to you.
I had the hulk which is a burger between potato cakes. It wasn't as intense as I thought it would be - which is a good thing of course. I wouldn't make it a habit to eat the Hulk but at least I didn't need to eat a side of fries. Off the main CBD strip, you either know of Andrew's or you don't. But one should know Andrew's that's for sure.
Highly recommend. Burgers are huge. You can have meat patties or steak or both. I chose both! Amazing steak meat - large and succulent (juicy, not dry!) with little gristle or fat, the burger meat is high quality and with low filler - if any, I didn't taste any filler at all, low salt which is fantastic, just a sprinkle. I loved my Five O Hawaiian burger with an extra piece of steak. Most importantly, this place really cares about its customers and the quality of the food it serves. There was a mix-up with Uber (the Uber driver basically pinched the food), I ended up speaking to Andrew at the restaurant. Got my order redelivered via the Uber app, Andrew put in some free chips and a handwritten note. So lovely! So old fashioned and hospitable. Now, I just realised that I was probably speaking with 'Andrew' of Andrew's Burgers! Support this place! For a city burger joint, the prices are excellent. When you add in the quality of the meat and the size - I don't think I need to look elsewhere when I get a burger craving. Yum! They have gluten free buns which are nice, large and flattish and stay together, not falling apart after a few squeezes. I think my burger weighed about 1/2 a kilo.

So happy to find my old friend, Andrew's Hamburgers, has opened a second store in the CBD. Very convenient for tourists and travellers. As always, the flavour is unchanged and super yummy.
Pretty good but beef burger was a bit plain and additions to jazz it up weren't really clear. diner type atmosphere.
Keeping it old school in a new location, don't go here if you want a Swiss cheese truffle hand patted cow Burger. Come here if you want great classic burgers!!!!
