Review Nosh - Melbourne

Jo SB
I love this place!! I keep coming back for the Poke Party - Fresh Tasmanian salmon coated with creamy roasted sesame sauce on coconut turmeric rice, spinach salad, edamame, pickled ginger, crispy shallots, and nori strips. It's clean, the small bowl is the perfect size for lunch, and the service is quick.

I ordered from menu log last night, my first time trying after hearing such positive reviews sadly, the salmon poke bowl gave me food poisoning I will not be ordering again, very expensive for such a small portion of food also.

This is my first visit. I have been told that salmon and tuna are no more but if I'm after seafood, there is tiger prawn. Not a problem. While I'm figuring out what other ingredients I want for my healthy lunch. I got told that if I want tuna, they have this one that prepared wrongly about 5 minutes ago. Again, not a problem. This probably safe me from figuring out what to form my lunch. The good thing is that I received discount for this. $5 off. Win win. I'm not liking what I'm having. It has tuna, pumpkins, cucumbers, baby spinach, ginger, brown rice, chilli and etc. Not sure what's the dressing. The regular size is rather big. Next time I know to go with small. It's really unfortunate. I'm sure if I ordered what I really want to eat, it is going to taste a lot better. I will give this place another try. Staffs are very friendly.

Really fresh fish and delicious extra ingredients. The tumeric/coconut rice and shoyu sauce is the best combo!!

The Worst food I’ve had in a very long time, the large serving was literally small absolutely disgusting and overpriced.

Fresh and delicious poke bowls with variet. What made me review however was the owner's choice to utilise biodegradable plastics. It really goes a long way when an owner chooses sustainability and has environmental awareness aside from the great food on offer. Well done, I wish your business the best.

New experience. Food tasty, quality and quantity pretty good

Extensive and skimped on the proteins. I've had better.

Ordered online for the teriyaki chicken bowl, was fresh, tasty and also the amount of ingredients that went into it were perfect. Not stingey on the chicken either. Only downfall was that there seemed like there was no teriyaki on the chicken. It just looked herbed so perhaps they made a mistake. Nevertheless it tasted good

Nosh serves one of the best poke bowls in melbourne. Prices generally average closer to $13 but you get quality poke. My favourite parts of the dish are:

1. Very fresh and delicious salmon slices
2. Generous portions and diverse range of toppings.
3. Turmeric rice is not the healthiest but omg so delicious!

There was a queue after 1pm so I usually go earlier!

Tried one of the Nosh Favourites - Peking Duck

I like the option with soba noodles, feels a bit lighter than a load of rice at the bottom.

The soba noodles has a really soft texture like it's been kept in water. I prefer it with a bit of springyness.

The duck is freshly seared and the texture is soft and fatty, with the skin still on.

The sauce is mildly spicy but it's sweet as well, not your typical sweet & spicy sauce.

There's a range of ingredients where you can customise your own bowl too.

Nosh is quite a good option for a healthy lunch.

I've had a few dishes here, good bowls however a bit pricey for what you get.

My favourite is grilled salmon. Salmon cooked well, tasty and entire bowl was nice. The tuna bowl is great too.

Least favourite, the eggplant miso is very bland and eggplant isn't cooked well (suggest extra time on the grill to improve texture. Also needed few extra condiments as it only came with rice, eggplant, seaweed, pickled ginger and edamame.

I had the chicken souv vide with cauliflower corn rice walnuts beetroot and kale salad. Everything was really fresh and tasty and I really enjoyed the sesame sauce too. I paid $12.9 for a small bowl which is quite reasonable too.

Got a gluten reaction after eating their Wagyu beef bowl (specified as gluten free on their menu) and refused to refund my meal. Very unimpressed, won’t be returning. Warning other coeliacs / gluten intolerants not to visit this restaurant.

Tried a sushi taco from here- salmon and turmeric rice. It was nice, but hard to eat, and quite heavy tasting. It really needed some veggies, and different textures/flavours to break it up. It also had a lot of mayonnaise on top, which really made it messy and overwhelmed the other flavours. I’m a big fan of Noah’s healthy poke bowls, but I wouldn’t order a taco again!

I love the poke trend and am always in the mood for a good poke! This place does ‘build your own bowls’ and also had a menu of favourite pre-selected options. I went for a menu option as I noticed that their build your own options didn’t include a lot of the options (you had to pay $2 extra for all the bases except if you had brown or jasmine rice) and also the salad options come as pre-made choices (so you don’t pick the individual veggies that you want).

I ordered the small ‘poke party’ ($13.90) with tuna sashimi (I swapped this from the salmon), coconut turmeric rice and a spinach and sweet potato salad. I wanted to try this poke bowl for the turmeric coconut rice as I’ve not seen this offered as a base at any other poke place before, it had a nice fragrant flavour, but might have been slightly a little on the overcooked side. Overall, a pleasant poke experience albeit this place is a little pricey with their build your own options.

The food is healthy and delicious and yes I definitely have my favourite order.

The manager is hilarious and as always good for a chat.

But they have really gone the extra mile in knowing me by name and they remember my favourite order all whilst asking how my day was and making any time I am waiting for my fresh food just fly by.

I would recommend not only their food but also their team. They make my day that much better every day I see them.

I absolutely loved nosh. I've had Hawaiian poke in Hawaii and yes you can't beat it but Nosh gets close.
I had the chicken teriyaki bowl. The serving size is massive (possibly 2-3 servings depending on how hungry you are).

It had deliciously flavoured rice (so so delicious I can't get over it) with a slight hint of fennel(?). There was an ample serving of edamame beans, carrot pieces, tender pieces of teriyaki flavoured chicken, topped with ample dried fried onion, toasted sesame seeds, and pickled ginger. You can help yourself to soy and sriracha sauce. Absolutely loved it as it contains the four essential foods - carbs, veggies, protein and fat - for a well/balanced meal

Love this place!! The place is so clean and the staffs are friendly as well, the food is really good too, I am not such a healthy eating person but nosh makes me want to eat healthy everyday! They also has a varieties of unique combination of hawaiin bowl which is kind of different and worth to try!

Really love the food and the varieties of the toppings here, for me the portion is perfect and it's fulfilling, this also perfect for my diet, healthy lifestyle. And I recommend to order the 63c eggs with salmon combination, you'll be mind-blown!!

I love Nosh!! One of the best lunches to have on a busy workday. Healthy, filling, and fairly well priced considering how much it fills you up! I love the option to choose your own base, salad, protein, sauce and toppings. There is a vast array to choose from, which means you'll never get bored! My only criticism would be that I think the ginger should not be counted as a topping, I think this should just be a free added extra at the end, similar to when you go to most Sushi places (although I notice some of them are charging now too!!). Will continue to devour Nosh at least once a week ;-)

One of my favourite places for a quick and healthy lunch in Docklands. The ingredients here are super fresh and the sauces are really flavoursome, especially the creamy sesame sauce. I also love how they have different options for the the base like coconut turmeric rice in their poké bowls. Their nori tacos are also great. Only downside is their menu is a little bit on the pricey side.

The poke party was great! Fresh sashimi salmon, spinach, and delicious sesame and coconut sauce. The size was generous. A good choice for a healthy lunch.

Nosh is fast becoming one of my favourite lunch spots around Docklands. Nestled inside the new ‘posh’ food court at Collins Square, they serve delicious poke style bowls that are a healthy and fulfilling alternative to the usual salads and burgers in the area.

I have had the poke party, beef bomb and eye of the tiger bowls, with the latter being my least favourite by far (although I’m not an overly big fan of prawns to begin with). The beef bomb has been my favourite with the cauliflower rice making it super filling yet light at the same time.

All of the ingredients are super fresh and bowls are made as you order. I love the Japanese flavours and most bowls have a liberal amount of these elements such as edamame, pickled ginger and seaweed. All of the bowls have a lovely mix of different textures and flavours making them very enjoyable to eat. Highly recommended.

Visited Nosh feeling like I needed to be healthy after a few bad choices this week. Left with a delicious rice pokè bowl called chicken teriyaki tease. This was full of delicious salad ingredients and teriyaki chicken and was made fresh and tasted fresh. I loved in inclusion of pickled ginger, edamame beans and roasted pepita seeds. It was a yummy and hopefully healthy lunchtime choice. It’s was a relatively quiet store in what was a busy eating zone. A few people milled around and weren’t clear about the concept I think (perhaps it was the make your own options that were confusing them). Just dive in people. Will be back for sure.

Nosh is an exciting joint with two locations in Melbourne's CBD serving wonderfully fresh poké (pronounced PO-KAY), a Hawaiian rice bowl served with raw fish, veggies and tossed with soy sauce-based dressing. We loved devouring our bowls of a sashimi salmon poke bowl which we created using the create-your-bowl option and the vegetarian Tempeh Teri-san and.

Was seeing a client in docklands yesterday and I couldn't hold back my tastebuds when I saw another nosh. Being a converted nosheroo I couldn't help but go for my regular poke party. Great same consistent flavor and taste.

This place is great for a quick and nutritious lunch! I've had the Poké Party (one of their signature dishes) three times now and it's been consistently fresh, filling and nutritious. The prices are on the higher side, especially when you can get poké from other places in the CBD for around $10, but a small size always fills me up so the serving sizes are generous. I recommend it!
