I had the Maple Bacon Burger. The aduzi bean burger was very mushy, but in an unexpectantly good way. Unlike the chewy sensation of a meat burger, this vegan burger had a unique mushiness to it. This was complemented by some delicious pickles. Although they were the dishes namesake, the maple bacon bits were overwhelmed by all the other elements, but when I removed the from the burger and tried them separately it was great. The whole burger was really flavoursome, especially the pickles.
The sweet potato fries were really impressive. Perfectly fried, good amount of salt and skin on too. You can tell The Alley uses fresh oil. They were a bit on the pricey side, but it was an appropriate single serving size.
All in all, The Alley is a great place for a tasty lunch for vegans and non-vegans alike.
One of the joys in life is discovering a great new restaurant! I believe I will be spending copious amounts of time and money at this place.
Vegan eatery serving burgers, chips and assorted other items. I ordered the maple bacon burger which was quite enjoyable although pickles remind me of cheeseburgers so I was very aware that I wasn't eating meat. My friends ordered the Hawaiian burger and both really liked it. They also sweet potato chips which were baked not fried which I was delighted with. They also have a selection of sweet chilled desserts. I tried the chocolate mousse (again vegan and also refined sugar free). It was really nice (but I should have kept the second half for later. The Alley had a great vibe, we enjoyed our food and all agreed we'd go again.
