I think it was a cozy enviroment the food was so good but due to covid-19 we cant dine and eat but i love this place
Newly opened with street parking right outside, this is a great place to eat. Lots on the menu, we've been twice and both times all the food was delicious. The service is friendly and informative (when you ask about something), and the price was great. For three people, with main meals, rice, bread and raita, the total was about $55.
The food was great and the service was friendly. Favourite dishes included Malai Kofta and Aloo Gobi. My son and daughter loved their butter chicken and fish curry. Nice (rich) Indian in Coburg - yay!
We have visited Kerala hut restaurant for Sunday buffet. The food was delicious and varriouty of menu for the buffet some meat and some vegetarians .it's all authentic Indian food and not too spicy hot.everyone we have taken there love it.
Great Indian favourites at good prices & was impressed at the cleanliness!! Wait staff was welcoming to my kids as well. Look forward to trying their buffet but their dosa was delicious!
Cheap, cheerful place. Good quality food. Sunday buffet is great value! Service is polite and quick. Im sri lankan and so i was happy to see parathas! Yummm
Been here twice.
1- Eat in.
A lovely experience to eat in. Meals seem to be made to order, however, wait time is far too long. If they had a full house people would be very upset. The waitress seemed to have little experience in dealing with large groups of people ( 7 of us on a Sat evening). $$ reasonable. Food delicious.
2. Takeaway
Called for pickup takeaway and was told to come in 30mins ( way to long especially if you're hungry).
Again wait time is too long.
Ordered rice, butter & spinach chicken and nann bread. Very nicely and filling. Definitely worth the try but they need to improve service and especially the wait time. Picture of takeaway.
Give it a go!
Very authentic and tasty kerala food, excellent value for money and terrific service. Our go to place for indian food. Buffets are brilliant value
We came here for an impromptu dinner on a Thursday night. The restaurant was quite quiet but we noticed a few takeaway orders were being picked up. We ordered the masala utthapam dosa, the special chicken biryani, tadka dhal and paratha. Everything was absolutely delicious! Our favourites were the biryani, dhal (superb) and the fluffy, buttery and crispy paratha. Definitely one to keep on the local dinner rotation. The ambience could be a bit warmer, the lighting is very bright, it's quite cold inside and the seating not particularly comfortable but these should not deter you, the food is fantastic and great value.
I was a bit surprised of the relatively low score on Zomato. Staff welcome as soon as you walk in the restaurant and the Dosa was just brilliant.
Been here a few times, really good Indian food just like the real deal! Great customer service and lovely meals. Would recommend highly for single, couple or family lunch/dinner. No negatives- only parking may become an issue(if you dont know where to go) but otherwise fantastic restaurant.
By far the best Kerala food I have had at a Melbourne restaurant. Tucked away from the busy city, on a quieter , but easily accessible main road, this place is spacious, clean and well designed. First-class service. Delicious food. Do go there in huge groups. Kerala parotta and beef fry recommended !
Very nice costumer service. One of the best Indian restaurants in Melbourne. The food was so delicious and they’ve used a really good quality spices that what makes the food delicious. Definitely will be back.
This is a great place to have some genuine Indian food. The food is cooked very well, to perfection, the taste is superb and genuine and you can eat like a king as the portions and availability of food is more than your average Indian restaurant. I don't have anything bad to say, everything was great, it was a very clean place too and I was very happy with the service. I highly recommend this place to anyone that wants traditional Indian food.
Not going to lie came into here not expeciting much didn’t have much business when we came. But I take my words back. One of the best Indian food I have ever eaten. Waiter up the front was so welcoming and kind. Food was so delicious. I honestly feel if this food was at a better location it will be packed 24/7. Food is second to none 😍 amazing.
I just simply had to give a review for them. A good chef fills your heart and stomach. They deserve that statement in its every sense, the best I have ever had in Melbourne. A class apart in customer service and the best kerala porotta that I have had in Melbourne. The chef was even kind enough to give us fish fry on our demand, even if it was not in the menu. Surely will come back.
