We've been coming here for dinner a couple of times a year for the past 4 or 5 years. It has always been very tasty. We came here last night for dinner and had a goat curry, a lamb madras curry, a saffron rice, a garlic naan and a keema naan. We had started eating and the waitress brought out another garlic naan (complementary) because the first one she gave us was burnt a bit on half of it, that was nice of them. The curries were fantastic as always and we really enjoyed our meal. The prices have gone up a bit over the years, from $14.00 - $15.00 a curry to $19.00 - $20.00 a curry and last night's curry had a smaller serve of meat in it than we usually get, it was much more sauce than meat but we enjoyed all the flavours and left feeling very full. It's great to be able to go somewhere for dinner that's tasty and you can eat large for two people for under $60.00 and because they are BYO having a few beers with dinner is very affordable đź‘Ť
Got takeaway from here last weekend. Yum! This is one of the best Indian takeaways I’ve ever had. We had goat curry, lamb Saag, saffron rice and non veg platter. We also got pickles and aloo naan. So much food for $75.00. We couldn’t eat it all and had another meal the next day. The goat curry was generous pieces cooked long and slow on the bone. Lamb again generous tender lamb in a lovely thick saag. The platter was amazingly generous two big marinated chicken thighs two delicious, tender tandoori lamb chops, two kebabs and juicy marinated prawns a bargain for $18.00. The accompaniments were good too fluffy saffron rice and yummy pickles and raita. Aloo naan fresh and flavoursome. Lots of genuine Indian flavours no hint of store curry paste. Food coma followed.
Went here for dinner with the girls. The restaurant isn't new or modern looking but was clean and the service was friendly. We ordered 4 non veg banquets and 1 vegetarian dish. The banquet came worth papadums, tandoori chicken wings, kebabs and another chicken dish. The mains was plain and saffron rice, butter chicken, lamb rogan Josh and 2 veg dishes with naan bread. I loved the veg dishes. The sauces were nice but I'm a bit fussy with meat. They also offer take away.
had dinner there with some of our friends. was busy night.  fantastic food ,tandoori mustred potatos very nice. and favorite goat curry. service was brilliant. will  go there next time for sure.
i went at zaika with my family today. customer service was very good. i saw a man was drunk and shouting on staff without any reason. the girl was innocent . but try to understand there was only one girl who was serving at that moment so please ... understand that one girl cant make so many customers happy.
Better than Agnis and better than Koh I Nor - we have done the comparison !!!!
We are now regular visitors to Zaika and love the food and are really impressed with the service provided. The last time we went there I made mention that I felt that there was too much sauce/ gravy in the meal and when we got our meal home it was just perfect. Less sauce and more meat. We ordered the butter chicken which is a favourite of ours and lamb Rogan josh - this was amazing so soft and melt in your mouth
We also got the korma veggies which are by far the best we have and we love the garlic naan
After our comment made the restaurant rang us to make sure that everything was ok.
This is good customer service
I have been eating at Zaika for years, and i can quite confidently claim that this place, without a doubt, serves the best onion bajis in Perth. (And trust me, I've looked around)
The staff are always friendly and attentive, and the portions are generous. I don't think I've ever left there without wondering just how i managed to tuck away as much food as i did...
Aside from the bajis, i can heartily recommend the mushroom curry, the chicken jal frezi and the kadai prawn.
My family and myself have been eating here for the last 5 years and have never been disappointed. I personally believe the onion bhajis are the best in Perth (and believe me when I say I have tried a very wide selection) and have never left there without being uncomfortably full because I just can't stop eating as it's all so delicious... And yet we still always have a doggy bag to take home. I personally love the saag dishes and think they have even improved recently, they taste fresher and more robust. My boyfriend loves the peshwari naan and we haven't found any comparable in other restaurants. My dad swears by the rogan Josh and we can never go past the mushroom curry. Anyway, I say that it's worth a shot. I am surprised by some of the recent negative reviews, but I guess everyone has different expectations and maybe they just got them on a bad night as we adore the staff there, they are always so kinda and attentive without being intrusive, and frankly anyone who can politely laugh at some of my dads bad jokes is a winner in my eyes!
An amazing venue with consistently great takeaway food also. I always recommend these guys for anyone wanting Indian in the midland area, my only advice is to order less than you think, they're very generous with their servings
Love the food! Great service too when dining in. We will make this place a regular for sure. Love the vegetable Korma and the peshawari naan.
Encouraged by a lovely couple who are my friends, they said, "Let's try this lovely restaurant".
I thoroughly enjoyed the selection of food presented and found the smells and tastes, let alone the presentation was so lovely that my blessed wife had she been with me would have also.
Amazing curry and such great Value. Best samosas I have ever had. Felt like I had been given food for a special event like a wedding or something. It’s that good.
The tandoor items are really from the tandoor with the beautiful char.
I’m so happy to have found this place!
Excellent Indian food run by great people. I ordered the Special Chicken Dhaba curry and it was amazing. The richness of the gravy and the spices were great, loved the coriander and mint and depth of flavour. The butter chicken was very rich and had a nice nuttiness. Naan was cooked great and had a great springy texture and flavour. Stoked that these guys are in Midland. Well done.
The greatest indian takeaway my partner and myself have had. Huge servings that are full of meat and delicious sauce. Will definitely return and make this our go-to indian 🙌🙌
Great flavour by far the best Indian food I’ve had in Perth, wait time is above average, staff are very friendly.
