Ah, so, Biella we meet again. Is a stupid way to start a review granted but there is slight method to my stupidity (definitely more madness but I've been advised by my lawyers not to use that term). I am a bit of a pizza snob, it doesn't have to be 'authentic', it doesn't have to be served from a wood oven, it can even be a calzone. What it definitely has to do has a couple of things. One, the middle must be free of grease and sogginess and the ingredients must be definable to the taste.

You see for awhile in my youth my first job was pizza delivery driver for a now defunct, Adelaide based chain and our pizzas were pretty terrible. But they did help me put on 20kg in 2 years and a good behaviour bond for driving so there were some pluses. So anyway the pizzas weren't great but if you tweaked the recipes and played around a little you could make a semi decent pizza. My personal fav was the double layers thin and crispy with a layer of melted cheese between the two bases.

As for Biella's pizzas, they generally aren't soggy and the flavours are pretty good. Not homemade good where you have the pick of the Central Markets finest but they are Aok. Problem is I shop around. I have covered most pizza places in a 10km radius and after having Biella last night I am not quite sure why I do that. My pizza of choice was the Mexican, ham, pepperoni, capsicum, onion, marinated tomatoes, garlic and jalapeños, you know the drill. It had good level of spice, pepperoni had nice meaty flavours (sometimes they are as bland as they come). Overall it was a great experience. Garlic bread is your prewrapped from some big distributor deal which they lose points for but the pizza is definitely a winner.

I don't know why I shop around so much, Biella is closest and probably should be my first point of call. I can't say I will remain faithful to Biella but I will damn well try in future.

Fantastic pizza with tremendous choice. We regularly visit this fantastic pizza shop. Lovely, fresh ingredients on pizzas made with love!

Massive menu and selection. The shop is really clean, unlike most pizza places. The "Euro" pizza is highly recommended!

Easily the best pizza this area has. Fresh ingredients, generous serves, plenty of choices, and tastes amazing. Love this place!
