With a long history of sweet treats in Melbourne, Ferguson Plarre continues to provide high quality food that has people coming back time and time again. I needed something for my father and afternoon tea. We chose a large custard tart and for me, a vanilla slice.
However, I was distracted by the stunning cake display in the window. Think that's going to be where I next order a birthday cake.
Inside Ferguson Plarre, there is a place to sit and have your lunch, coffee or snack. Outside, is also some lively seating with cute hedge to hide the Puckle Street traffic.
Staff are lovely and very helpful when struggling what to choose - took me a while to decide between the vanilla slice and the mouther-watering lamington.
FP is kid friendly, wheelchair accessible and caters for dietaries - just let the staff know. Parking can be hit or miss in Puckle Street but there is plenty in side streets.
A must visit when in town.
They have recently had a refurb and it’s looking great! I love all the pies here, but my go-to is mainly the shepherds pie, the steak and mushroom and the butter chicken. Delish! Also, my hot top is to try the orange and poppyseed cake or the orange coconut cake. So moist!
