The Tender Hen burger was so tender and juicy and very well balanced with the coleslaw in the burger.
The fried wings (hot) were crispy, juicy and again, very tender. The spice level was good although it could have been seasoned a little more liberally.
The loaded fries were TO DIE FOR. The gravy, cheese and popcorn chicken ontop of the chips were so delicious and I loved the garnish of Spring Onion. I could not stop eating them even if I tried.
One of the best parts though were the lovely staff members - chef and waitress who worked on Thursday night were so lovely and really made the experience that much better.
Definitely reccommend to all fried chicken lovers and those who enjoy a very yummy American-style meal with Australian-style hospitality.
Where do you go when your craving for some fried chicken?
We ordered the tenders, coleslaw, tender hen burger and the loaded fries, which is new on their menu. Everything we ordered was spectacular, but the highlight was definitely the tenders as they were extremely juicy and full of flavour. The tender hen burger was also yummy but impossible for a petite girl like me to finish as it was huge! We washed it down with the delicious chocolate and strawberry milkshakes! The staff there were attentive and friendly. Overall it was a really good experience and I would highly recommend this place! Thanks for the invite. Go. Here. Now!
Sorry Miss Jackson definitely serves one of the best wings in town! The wings are juicy and flavored in seasoning. You won't go wrong with their wings! The Mac & Cheese Croquettes are so cheesy and perfect with the cheese sauce, any cheese lover would die for them. Garden salad with vinegar dressing is just on point, it goes so well with fried chicken!
Not only do they have nice fried chicken, the Tender Hen Burger is a must-try as well. Slightly toasted buns with well-marinated coleslaw and a massive piece of tender and juicy thigh fillet, a total satisfaction I would say!
Keep it up guys!
I visited Sorry Miss Jackson as a Collaboration visit. I was welcomed as soon as I walked in the door!. I loved the whole decor of the place, it definitely had a modern rustic feel to it. Food was on point! Loved everything especially the Loaded Fries and Coleslaw. My Hubby got a chance to try the wings with the hottest sauce they had! He loved it and it definitely made him sweat a little đ. They are a new business in the Moone Ponds area , I canât wait to watch them grow as they are definitely headed in the right direction.
I was invited to Sorry Miss Jackson last night and I canât even think of the place without singing to myself. Possibly the coolest name for a restaurant ever not to mention they are boasting some pretty game changing loaded fries. New on the menu, their loaded fries donât just have cheese and gravy (so yesterday) they also include popcorn chicken! Ingenious and delicious and something I havenât seen before.
This same tastily seasoned chicken was consistent in the chicken tender I sampled. Very good quality chicken that was perfectly cooked. Paired with a salted caramel shake and I could have been in the U S of A.
Iâm not great with spice so I opted for mild but the heat levels go all the way up the the hilarious âhurts both waysâ. Husband got mild on his wings because he was too scared to get hot (maybe they should have one named medium in there as it goes straight from mild to hot) which was paired with a garden salad. Nice to see that on the menu in addition to your more traditional carb based sides as not all places provide a healthy option.
We also tried the chicken burger which is a ginormous creation. Make sure youâre hungry if you plan to tackle this one! Overall a very passionate team here with significant experience in hospitality. They could also teach the Colonel a thing or two about herbs and spices!

Sorry Miss Jackson is a fantastic new addition and is worth your visit!
Order
đšď¸ Shroomington- Really tasty burger and easy to eat. For $15 this burger comes with a side!! I thought that was an amazing deal especially given how tasty the burger was.
đšď¸Mac and Cheese Croquettes- I got these as my side for the above. Not only were they tasty, they were creamy, extremely cheesy and super well cooked. Highly recommend it!
đšď¸ Grilled Corn- Also got some corn and enjoyed it.
The service was really quick and love how cheap this place is.
I canât even think of name of this fried chicken venue without getting that song going on in my head. Tonight was a cold one so it was good to step in and sit in the booths in this chilled out (but warm at least) venue. I was exceedingly hungry tonight and my dining buddy was late so i ordered off the menu with great enthusiasm.
The main items came out as a meals with the choice of chicken and a side with some great chicken choices including wings, ribs, tenders or merrylands. The sides were actually quite varied and that impressed me. There were also burgers, shakes and craft beers (I didnât see which one).
I enjoyed the chicken wings immensely and opted to have them coated in the hot sauce, the second mildest sauce on the menu... I didnât know the heat range to opt for anything hotter but I may do next time. The crunch factor of these wings should probably come with a noise warning. Favourite dish of the night.
We also tried the tenders in a mild sauce ... tenders were tender (go figure) but I reckon unless youâre scared of heat go for something hotter ... well worth the experience.
We also ordered the tender hen burger which also packed quite a epic crunch and there was a heap of chicken thigh meat in this burger. The coleslaw and harissa mayo was classic and tasty to.
I washed all those down with a blue heaven shake which worked nicely to cool down my mouth.
Sides wise we had the corn, salad, and Mac & cheese croquettes which came with its own hot cheese dipping sauce. Get yourself the Mac and cheese croquettes but make sure you smother them in that glorious cheese sauce. They were a little dry without the sauce so a perfect match together. Yum... I added the cheese sauce to the tenders I ate as well... imagine it on a burger!!!
The corn was nicely charred and came with butter but needed a little bit of seasoning to not fade away with all those other strong flavours going on.
We ordered the salad to check out a healthy side option and it was a well dressed garden salad containing cucumbers, tomatoes lettuce and onion.
Really appreciate the invite to come in and try your well thought out menu.
Weâre not quite sure where the name Sorry Miss Jackson comes from, but I suppose that doesnât matter once you start eating! This unusually named restaurant serves amazing fried chicken, chips and interesting burgers and salads.
We came here for dinner on a Wednesday night and it was relatively quiet. The decor was quite rustic and fitted out with black tables and chairs to seat around 40 people with up to 8-10 per table. (High chairs are available). At Sorry Miss Jackson you order your food at the counter and they bring the food to you â pub like style.
With a choice of wings, tenders, and ribs we chose the wings and tenders. The next thing is to decide on how hot you want your chicken with the heat ranging from Mild, Hot, Really Hot and Hurts both Ways. As we are suckers for a bit of heat we chose the Hurts Both Ways. To add to our chicken we ordered chips and gravy, Macaroni and Cheese Croquettes and a spicy carrot salad. The other salads available are a garden salad, potato and coleslaw salads. There are also 3 burgers to choose from â a chicken burger, a falafel burger and a mushroom burger. For drinks we ordered a chocolate shake and a lime shake.
Our food arrived quickly which was great as we were eager to try it. The chicken was simply scrumptious! It was tender, juicy and succulent and just fell off the bone. Mouth-watering stuff! The chips were good â crunchy and hot. The Macaroni and Cheese croquettes are quite tasty and certainly a little different. Baked in a creamy cheese sauce and stretchy mozzarella, they come in an unusual cube shape and are covered in a very crunchy panko crumb. A serve of the house made cheese sauce finishes the dish. Certainly a must try. The spicy carrot salad was out of the ordinary and quite unique. Flavoured with sesame seeds and a chilli sesame dressing this might not be to everyoneâs taste but definitely worth giving it a go. The shakes were great, lots of flavour and easy to drink.
We found the customer service excellent and we felt comfortable and well taken care of. Sorry Miss Jackson is situated at 726 Mt Alexander Rd, Moonee Ponds and is open 6 nights a week from 5pm â closed on Sundays. They donât take bookings but welcome walk-ins.
Also available for catering and donât miss the $1 wings on every Monday night from 5-9pm. Great value!
Sorry Miss Jackson, but we will be coming back more than you would like! A newer restaurant opened on the busy Mt Alexander Road, Sorry Miss Jackson serves fried chicken, exactly how all fried chicken should be- tasty, with a rich skin and full of flavour.
With a rustic interior that is well decorated and with ambience to make any occasion just that more intimate (we mean you and your chicken of course) this is the perfect place to get your fried chicken fix. Today we opted for the wings, tenders, with sides of gravy and chips and Mac and cheese croquettes. The wings and tenders were HUGE. We had never left a restaurant so full in awhile. The tenders with the spicy bbq sauce were to die for, simply tender, juicy, succulent chicken with a special seasoning that really added to the flavour. The wings were the same, the seasoning on the skin offering a very tasty and unique take on flavour- definitely some of the better fried chicken we have had in our life.
The chips were on the potatoey side with a smooth delicious gravy complimenting them, whilst the Mac and cheese croquettes were our favourite. Melt in your mouth, cheesy dip and just a very great tasting delight- highly recommend this one also. The chocolate milkshake we had tasted like a chocolate mousse cake which was very pleasant.
An extremely high value meal, befitting of all occasions and one we would recommend to all. Come here for your friend chicken needs and delicious sides, topped up with friendly, warm service!

Got 4 hot wings with Mac and cheese croquettes on the side, delivered by Uber eats.
We were really impressed. The chicken was crispy and crunchy on the outside, and beautifully juicy on the inside. There was no dripping oil, not even any oil in the box. Was really impressed with this.
Speaking of the chicken, the flavour was absolutely delicious, perfect spiciness level too.
The Mac and cheese croquettes were amazing. They come with a tub of cheese sauce to dip them in. The perfect side.
Will definitely be coming into the restaurant. Give these guys a try, they deserve it!
dinner at Sorry Miss Jackson, I ordered 7 wings (1 for mild flavor 3 for hot, 3 for very hot). The wings is fried, as the kitchen gets an order immediately.
Cleanness in the kitchen looked maintaining highly and has a good atmosphere at night.
The crispness of wing is really well, seasoning and spiciness were quite well-mixed, could smell a tiny of celery which helps to cover oil taste.
Not a sauce base flavor, seasoned in chicken flour mix.. which is good for eating simply.
The size of wings was surprisingly bigger than my expectation. There was no bad smell from inside of the wing.
Iâm admittedly delightful to head to eat wings there again.
Awesome! I love chicken cooked well and this was some of the best chicken I've ever had. Waitress was friendly and service fast. Prices are good especially Monday night's $1 wings night. Cannot fault this place and I'll be back for sure....new fave place!!
Delicious wings, affordable prices and a good local vibe. Perfect for spicy takeaway action or lazy can't-be-bothered cooking-tonight burgers. Don't know why anyone would go to KFC when this is right nearby.
Top shelf fried chicken and generous side servings make this chicken joint an instant favorite, the only thing lacking is the medium heat level, you either have mild or jump straight to hot!
I highly recommend this place. The food was delicious and more than ample, the service was amazing and the value for money was incredible. It's about time Moonee Ponds got a fried chicken place like this.
We will definitely be back soon.
