Went here for dinner for the first time, the food was nice and the service was good. Really enjoyed everything, will definitely come back with the fam again.
The yum cha here is pretty good, it is located inside the Mounties club and it offered 20% off for members which was a pretty good deal. The restaurant interior was definitely upper class compared to the other yum cha restaurants that I've been to. The food was quite delicious and the pricing was quite reasonable. It doesn't get too full which is a lot better than most other yum cha places out there when you have to get a ticket and wait for your number to be called which is super annoying and can take a very long time! I recommend this place.
At the moment I cannot understand they 2.2/5 rating that this place currently has. Interior ambience is beautiful incorporating modern and traditional. Seating is abundant but not cramped with comfy chairs a nice change from what you would usually expect from a yum cha place with crammed in seating. Lots of friendly and helpful multilingual staff. Food is very good and not very oily. Highly recommend the steamed pork buns (like beautiful savoury clouds that melt in your mouth) and also the pork shumai which has shittake mushrooms inside. Dessert was good, I had the sweet tofu which wasn't overly sweet like other places and quite refreshing on the tongue, my sister had the mango pudding, this was slightly disappointing because last time I came the pudding was great and full of mango flavour however this time it was more pudding than mango and the texture was a bit off. Other than the pudding everything was fantastic and highly recommend my fellow foodies in the west to come try Johnny Fongs, members Mon-Fri get 20% off!! P.s. was too excited for the food couldn't get good photos before it was all devoured!
