Very understated Chinese restaurant in the main part of town. Staff were so friendly and their service was above and beyond. The food was absolutely delicious. Nothing was a bother… as vegetarians we were offered dishes not on the menu… we ended up having to take leftovers with us due to the serving size… and this was again no bother…

Would rate this restaurant as definitely the best we have experienced. Up from NB Sydney for week to explore wineries and came across this restaurant as staying nearby. “Quaint” entry and decor with probably best front of house lady running the place like clockwork. All food is exactly like found in best in Hong Kong with all entrees and meals prepared and made in house. Standard menu offering but just done 200% better. Huge serves compared to standard but the more the better of this “fine dining” Chinese restaurant. Would travel to Mudgee just for this. Enjoy.
We had a lovely dinner with excellent service from Cindy and the staff. We were visiting from Sydney and ate the vegetable omelete, satay beef, chicken in oyster sauce, vegetables with bean curd, fried rice all tasty and with large serving sizes. We also had a bonus stew dish which was delicious.
Will be back when we are next in Mudgee. Highly recommended.
What a special Mother's Day 2022 when far from home. Welcomed by the lovely and genuine Cindy with a complimentary drink for Mother's Day. The food was delicious and the servings generous. The service was friendly and we felt like VIP'S. Thank you, we can't recommend the Golden Dragon highly enough.
