Delicious fresh made food, great atmosphere and ver friendly staff that made us feel very welcome

Visited for lunch. The previous owner was a Japanese fushion place and they left their Instagram open. At the time I didn't know but we later found out when we visited and the current owner told us. Anyway, the "new" Mr Grumpy Cafe is typical brunch style food. The menu is written on the chalk board at the counter. I had the smashed avo with sourdough and side salad. The egg was soft, fluffy and appetizing. The other meal we ordered was the beef Patty Burger. I didn't taste it but it looked really good and a decent serving size. Would have liked fresh cut chips over packet chips though.

Best coffee in the area! Friendly staff and their new burgers are something special! Their cappuccino comes with actual chocolate on the top, for a unique twist. Whilst their burger is perfect balance of flavours! Definitely one of my lunch time faves!

Amazing!! Breakfast bun with tomato relish is just to die for one of the best breakfasts I’ve had this year. Owner is friendly and loves a chat, coffee has got a beautiful depth to it, can’t fault it for the price 5/5
Amazing coffees, friendliest staff and the biggest portioning of food I've seen. There's are outside, inside and courtyard for seating. The price definitely pays off with the amount of food that's given.
We had the chilli scrambled baguette where the baguette was so crisp and the filling was so generous and tasty.
The big breakfast was quite impressive - large portioning that I had to take some home. The scrambled eggs are so silky and fluffy. Toasted bread and the breakfast has a taste of salty, savoury and spicy. Loved how it tasted.
The coffee was great, staff were friendly. Food lives up to they hype. Simply outstanding - great sized - tasty meals. 10/10

We ordered flat white and mocha , which tasted really well but was not well presented.
No coffee art was made
Also , Asian crispy noodles salad and grumpy rooster toastiest which tasted so nice.
But the ambience was not typically I would like. Congested closed seating and very very loud music.
So minus one star.

Beautiful place to dine in. Love the back door space where you can have an outdoor experience under the sun. Nice art on the wall. Food is always pretty and tasty!

Love how the whole crew yell morning to you when you go here. Such a warm welcome and serving. We were shocked by the amazing customer service on the first day and still amazed to see the consistency in their warmth. This crew needs an award for their food and service!

We give you a full 5 stars because of the outstanding customer service, the food and the bustling atmosphere. Mr Grumpy, located on the corner of Princes Highway and Springvale Road, is the best cafe, so far, and we have been to many. Your friendliness made it that much more enjoyable. We will come back for sure! Thank you all :D
The place was fairly busy but workers were welcoming nonetheless. The food was lovely-looking and the taste was nice.
However I was disappointed with the matcha latte. Perhaps it was the oat milk or the cinnamon on top,, but something just didn't taste right. Hot chocolate was good too,, better than average for sure.
Would come again to try the other things available.
The service from the staff here was amazing. We had a baby with us and they accommodated everything from moving tables to cleaning up after our mess. The food was so delicious and in abundant. The personal touch on the coffee definitely brightened up our day. Definitely worth revisiting again and again!
