What a great little place! Staff super friendly, food and wine delicious. Definitely worth to drop by for tapas and vinos.
Great atmosphere, great tapas and amazing wine! A perfect wine bar to drop in after work to taste some traditional Spanish food with a twist. Anthony, the chef, has created very delicious food tapas style. The main courses, perfect to share, are a great display of Spain's cuisine. Rice bombs and croquettes were the favourites. The Lobster Paella is a must, make sure you taste the rice along with the flesh of the Lobster.

Fantastic dinner at La Despensa tonight!! An absolute must for authentic Spanish food.. the food is delicious and took me back to my travels through Spain, chef is fabulous and the staff are lovely.. a must for anyone who loves delicious Spanish wines and delectable tapas!! A local must!!

Delicious food and great service! They had a set 4 course meal at the time and I would order each and every meal again. The salami on the appetiser was thinly sliced and super tasty, the spinach entree seemed so simple but was so flavoursome, the beef cheeks were absolutely tender and melted in my mouth. Highly recommend, especially if you are a wine lover.
First time experience, was not disappointed. Food was delicious and perfect portion sizes to share. Anthony and staff were very friendly. Nice open kitchen bar with great ambience and music.
We were planning to rush in for some local Japanese and stumbled upon this gem. If tapas and wine are your thing then dinner here is a must. Truly authentic and delicious tasting tapas plates, made to share in perfect portions. Great ambience (even seated at the corner of the bar). Our pick: (everything) but if we had to choose the pinxto de sobrassada cannot be missed
We live just nearby and I regret not having dropped in sooner for a meal. The food is really great, with different regions of Spain well represented. They also have a nice Spanish wine list. But they also have something missing from a lot of restaurants - genuine warmth. Our waiter was so welcoming and helpful but in an unpretentious way. There's clearly a lot of love that's gone into both the food and the unfussy genuine service.
Authentic great quality Spanish food. This is a true gem in the North Shore. Their new four course menu is an exquisite selection of delicious Spanish dishes very nicely done. Not to mention their exclusive selection of Spanish beers and wine. I can't wait to be back!
Absolutely great experience at La Despensa. We have been here twice now, and both times it was great (and we will be back many more times). Quality of food and service has been excellent. Good selection of tasty tapas for sharing. The Braised Lamb Shoulder just melts in your mouth and is a must have.

Couldn't wait to try this place, and wasn't disappointed. Delicious Tapas, with a Catalan twist on some classic Spanish Tapas favourites. Everything seems to be authentically Catalan, Estrella on tap, and a great selection of Spanish wines. Classy wine bar style, with a relaxed and friendly vibe. I reckon this will be a great addition to the Neutral Bay dining scene. Will definitely be going back for Paella and Sangria Sundays too!
