This was our second visit to this restaurant both times it has been really packed with people waiting at the door. Although service was slow we didn't mind as the food was exceptional. The saltimbocca just melted in my mouth with a perfectly balanced lemon sauce. The pasta and meatballs were as Nonna makes. Love this place.
Haven't been to El Nonno for a while, won't be that long again till next visit! I like how you can have a conversation and even us old deaf folk can be a party to it especially outside.
As always owner Alex and his team made dining a pleasure, food was great, service attentive and the atmosphere is really layed back. BYO is a winner also ensuring you can get your favourite wine or beer and saving a dollar also.
El Nonno really is one of our favourite dining venues.
The carbonara is the best I've ever eaten in my entire life. The creamy sauce is absolutely heavenly and executed perfectly. At first I wasn't sure if I could even finish such a large portion (which looked like it was served in a salad bowl), but after the first mouthful everything just disappeared into my stomach. I definitely recommend the carbonara, especially as it doesn't break the bank. Give it a try, once you start you can't stop.
Always great friendly service and amazing food never disappointed
I'm in love with this place. Beautiful food and excellent service. No fancy pants frills. Just great food at reasonable prices. I generally avoid carbs, so when I order pasta I want it to be great. The pasta did not disappoint. My wife ordered the chicken schnitzel. I initially teased her for ordering chicken schnitzel at an Italian restaurant, but was then blown away at how good a chicken schnitzel could taste when I tried some of her plate. Definitely coming here again!
My partner and I went for dinner tonight, Amazing! Friendly professional staff and extremely accommodating as we had no booking.. The food was beautiful, fresh and so filling, fast and friendly service.. We will definitely be repeat customer's, very happy..

Great food and service. The owner didn't mind that one of our dinner party went to the other restaurant opposite and get a pizza from them it was his idea to keep everyone happy. Definitely worth going 😎
