By far the best gelato in newcastle. So smooth and packed with amazing flavour. And on top of that their customer service is perfect, I would recommend Popolo to everyone!
I went here today with my sister and my goodness it is amazing. Being lactose intolerant its so hard to find somwhere that has a dairy free option other then 'lemon sorbet'.
I had the Creme Brule and it was by far the greatest icecream i have ever tasted!
We will definatly be back again! ��
This was my favourite place of visit of 2021. Polite staff, reasonable pricing and relatively quick service. Easy to choose since there is always some new flavour to try and so far I was very satisfied. On top of that, you have option to park near by and walk alongside of park, which is just few block away.
Gelato was super tasty. The man serving us was also very helpful, recommending us flavours and also getting a new batch of gelato for us given the flavours had almost run out. Only down side is that they don't let you try the flavours beforehand and it's a little pricey. Recommend the pistachio flavour!
A nice gelato shop in Newcastle CBD. I had the hazelnut and pistachio flavours. The texture of the gelato was beautiful, and the flavour was subtle and sweet. So good on a hot day!
What can I say? Went there yesterday, thought wow macadamia gelato this is pretty good. Went back again today and ordered no less than three flavours just because I wanted to try more. Tiramisu, brandy custard and the most incredible, slightly salted pistachio, holy cow, I would say some of the best ice cream I have ever had in my life. This stuff is worth travelling from anywhere just to eat this deliciousness. Well done Popolo, you are amazing.
Today I went to this Gelateria and I was delighted with the flavours and portion sizes. Price is reasonable too. Not quite the Italian gelatos I am used to hence the 4 stars. Worth visiting it.
Super delish!! Super creamy and rich. My favourite was the mango and pistachio. Note they rotate their flavours so you may see different ones to the picture.
World of difference in quality compared to the usual chains. Highly recommend!
Fantastic artisan gelato a short walk from the Crown St tram stop in Newcastle. About a dozen flavours to choose from, some of which rotate depending on the time of year. 100% recommend the pistachio!
This visit there were also two vegan options: coconut and creme brulee.
