Wow this place is incredible. Staff are very friendly and quick service even on Mothers Day. Baked brie is DELICIOUS and the rest of the food is great. They serve alcohol cocktails as well. Highly recommended.
The best place ever! And even better was the staff... in particular a young lady named Meg. She served us with a smile, knew her job exceptionally well, friendly, made us feel welcome and felt like family. Thanks Meg, you're worth more money! The food was amazing. Great sized portions and came out in a timely manner. Was a fantastic choice of venue for us before a show at Civic Theatre which was only a 7 minute walk away. Will definitely go back to try a cocktail next time 😀
The plates for brekkie here are served absolutely chockas! It was a nice place to catch up with friends for brunch whilst I was visiting Newcastle. The asparagus and haloumi combo with an interesting combo and we cleaned off the plates - too yummy
Best service, only pub I know who do table service which is rare to see at other pubs.

We chose the Happy Wombat as it had good reviews. It did not disappoint! Our party of 4 all ordered something different and each of us really enjoyed our meals. Loved the salads - generous serves too. Loved that you could order grilled halloumi as an extra - very generous serve of that too. Service was friendly and the meals arrived in good time. Would happily eat there again and again just to work my way through the menu 💕👍🏻
Really enjoyed my meal. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food came out quickly. Atmosphere was quiet during lunch. I had the beef burger and chips while my mate had the chorizo pizza.
Ordered the honey baked brie, crispy pork belly and the special which was pumpkin and spinach fettuccine. Food was delightfully delicious. On top of that the hospitality from the staff was above and beyond the call of the duty. Staff were friendly and accommodating to my family, even making my daughter a mocktail to match mine. Highly recommend.
