Great dining experience

I visited this restaurant during the Australia Day Long Weekend (2018) with my wife.
We were actually looking at another restaurant however it was full and we decided to have bar food instead.

Luckily we did stumble at this restaurant.

The staff were pretty friendly and helpful. The portions are actually quite large and my wife could not finish her meal. We had a chicken Parmigiana each. The only reason I did not give this restaurant a 5/5 star rating is because of the following:
1- This bar needs a aircon
2- This bar does not allow for takeaway if patrons do not finish their meal.

My wife asked for takeaway and the bar staff responded 'legally' we are not allowed to provide takeaway. I turned around and looked at the entry of the kitchen (we were sitting in the booths near the kitchen entry) and on the shelves were takeaway containers.

As per Australian Institute of Food Safety, it is up to the restaurants to 'ban' providing takeaway food containers to patrons and this is not a illegal practise. There’s currently no law in Australia that would prevent restaurants from offering their customers take-away containers for leftover food. so 'technically' the word 'legally' used by the staff was incorrect.

Aside from the above slight hiccap, the food is delicious and well portioned (for males :-) )
The atmosphere is terrific as the night we were dining at this establishment there was live music.
There are a number of beers that are brewed in house which I found out if you ask the bar tender, they'll let you try each one before you buy... 

If you live live music, large portioned meals and beer then this is the place to be.

I wish I had a picture of my food here for it was exquisite! I had the mushroom burger and my friend had the steak and we both enjoyed our meals greatly. The place has a beautiful eccentric vibe with very good music

Great pub with excellent friendly service. They even checked with a neighbouring store when my partner wanted a hot chocolate which they didn’t have on the menu. The food was excellent and the craft beer selection was good. There is lots of charm and while there is more than one Four Pines this is definitely an independent business that is well worth supporting.

Such a great vibe. Music playing, great food and I few Chrissy decorations for Christmas in July. The only thing missing was mulled wine. But still a great place.

Great local pub, friendly, good food, great selection of different beers,and cosy booth's for groups and families.

Their craft beer are always not disappointing!
