Came for a family gathering. Food was well cooked and fresh, service was lovely. It was like being welcomed into a home. Typical tapas bar - small, friendly, intimate with a great selection of food and wine and house made sangria.

Very hospitable and quality experience aiming yo capture an authentic feel. The wait may be slightly long due to a small kitchen but its worth it

Saw this place on facebook promoting an all you can eat with music event for 2 hours on Sunday. We had a great time, ate heaps and bought heavily discounted drinks. We went again last Sunday and the music was flamenco guitar [previous week was an open mike event]. Service is lovely here - a real family atmosphere. It cost us $25 each plus drinks at $5 and the food doesn't stop coming and is a nice cross section of Spanish items - and must change weekly because last Sunday differed in some dishes from the week before.
We have enjoyed this place so much we ordered the paella for last night before we left on Sunday. We were a group of 8 and took up the whole front window and had this huge pan of paella brought to the table. Polished off with a few bottles of Spanish wine and ended with some Spanish Dessert - a type of fried bread doused in cinnamon sugar.  It brought back memories of our trip to Spain two years ago.
Recommend this place to anyone wanting to try something different or who loves Spanish food. Prices are reasonable, service is friendly.
Thanks Suzy and Bella for looking after us so well.

Stopped here after listening to music at the Union and the place was full. We sat at the bar waiting for a table to clear and had sangria. The people beside us recommended some dishes so we had Mussels, Fried Calamari, Sauteed Mushrooms on Toast, Garlic Prawns, Eggplant with Honey and Spanish Rice. Chef recommended a SPanish Red to drink with the meal. We could not fault the food or the service. We'll be back.

Walking past SUnday arvo and saw a sign for all you can eat pinchos. Not sure what pinchos is, we asked. They were morsels of food on bread and/or toothpicks. We sat at the bar and just picked for almost 2 hours, downed a complimentary glass of sangira and then bought additional drinks. They were busy but kept the food coming so we didn't felt like they were being stingy. We paid $25 each and it was well worth the money. Typical Spanish looking place - small with mediteranean look tiles and Spanish pictures on the walls. Lovely people serving. and nice flamenco music

Wow this food is great. We couldn't stop eating. We started with Mojitos and moved on to food, food and more food....Garlic Prawns, Fried Eggplant with Honey, Fried Mushrooms with Aioli, Chorizo, Patatas Bravas, Tuna Carpaccio. Lamb cutlets cooked to perfection and doused in salsa verde and and and....Gorgeous friendly service, great Spanish Red - we had the Tamaron which is a great drop and crepes with Orange Butter for dessert. We are so glad we found this place. It has become our regular go to. We tried their breakfast over the weekend - pan con tomate, tortilla and huevos rancheros [not on the menu but they'll make it if not too busy] with great coffee.

Wandering along King St trying to decide where to eat and we found this new tapas place. There were people everywhere. Lucky we managed to get a seat at the bar because this place is small and seating is limited. Jugs of red and white sangria were carried to nearly every table. It's got to be one of the best sangria's I've had. The chef was spilling out dishes everywhere....she just did not stop. The poor waitress was run off her feet as every table kept adding to their order. Like us people were testing a few of the dishes and when they tasted so good, they opted to order more. Traditional tapas, homely feel, spanish music in the background and delicious fresh food. They ran out of meatballs - disappointed - so I've ordered them for my next visit. The waitress recommended padron peppers - a seasonal Spanish mini capsicum - I'm glad she did. Boquerones melted in my mouth and the crunch in the fried flathead meant another glass of that delicious sangria. This place has only been open a couple of weeks but, if the word gets around [as I'm sure it will] they will be lining up along King Street for there morish dishes. Once most of the dishes were out the chef downed tools and called out across the restarant welcoming everyone, introducing herself and the waitress and told us to leave our email address on a sign in sheet so she could send us their regular newsletter and invite us to the opening party. We all cheered and were so pleased it was such a warm and friendly environment. This place is a must - especially if you've had enough of all the kebabs and Asian food in Newtown. Prices are really reasonable but no cards are accepted so we wandered up to the ATM to get cash.

So glad we booked. This place was happening. Not a seat in the place. We had the frozen cocktails for $10 to start and then a selection of tapas and a really smooth bottle of red. Boquerones, morcilla and garlic prawns were to die for! Chef was flat chat all night and suddenly, she stops and yells out "Sorry I have been so busy tonight I haven't been able to come and chat but, is everybody having a good time?" Everyone yells out "yeah" and we all start clapping. She introduced herself and the waitress and told us all to leave our email addresses so she can send us the restaurant newsletter and invite us tothe opening party. This place is fun and has great food. About time a good tapas place hit Newtown. You have to give this place a try. we are absolutely putting this on our fave restaurant list. Only complaint...they sold the last dish of meatballs as we ordered.

This place is new. Cosy wine bar with great tapas. Good prices and warm friendly service. Great to share a few dishes and sample the different flavours. went back again yesterday and had the stuffed zucchini, mussels and padron peppers that are on special this week. We asked for a double serve of mussels and a basket of bread to dip in the sauce. YUM! Try this out - down near Alice St end of King St.
