Ate in before a trip to the movies last night. Usually we eat in the cinema complex but wanted to try this place due to the good reviews and we've been underwhelmed by Thai restaurants lately! They were right, this place was fab. They were pumped with takeaways orders but our service was great. The quality of the food was much higher than other Thai restaurants we had eaten at, reasonable prices and chilled jazz tunes... welcome change from venues packed with tables that you can't have a pleasant dinner conversation!
I had the vege stir fry with eggplant and basil - tasty and filling!
The atmosphere is casual/friendly, not really a fancy dress-up kind of vibe. (Slightly more fancy than Dickson Asian Noodle House!)
The staff were friendly and welcoming.
I’d definitely go back at lunch time when they have the lunch specials running.
I eat regularly at this place and love the rich flavoursome dishes dishes out by PK and his wife. They are lovely and friendly, always greeting us with big beaming smiles.
My favourite dishes - Thai Tom yum soup noodles (which I request to be made Thai style) - hot and spicy; the Tamarind deep fried fish is amazing; all their stir fried veggies are fresh and beautifully prepared; marinated BBQ pork (my children’s favourite); fried chicken wings, curry puff, etc.
Each time we visit, we try a different dish to savour the culinary skills of PK. He has not failed us!
They also serve specials at lunch time so check them out on any website, especially Google’s and give them a fair go. I am native of a neighbouring country to Thailand, and I find his dishes are closest to what one can find in Thailand itself.
