Can't get enough of this place! The food is incredible. My mate and I ordered the 3 meat board and 2 sides and struggled to finish it. The poutine and carrots are a must have. The staff are very friendly and I'm even hiring the place out for my Birthday Party. I highly recommend HG!
Starting with a friendly greeting, we had a great night. The man v burger was a challenge for my son but he took the challenge and beat the huge burger. the meat board was fantastic value. So much good food and good beer. You won’t go wrong eating here!! Fantastic quality meat and sides
Try it, we wish we had one Melbourne !!!
Heard about this place from all the food bloggers i follow attending the launch event. Looked awesome and is so close to work i had to check it out.
It’s actually hard to find a sit down brekkie joint in North Sydney, most business people are in a rush and a popular brekkie in North Sydney consists of usually a coffee and toast.
For a Thursday morning we were the first to arrive and only one other table was occupied during our meal. I hope this place will be able to stay open! I feel like North Sydney sitdown restaurants have a short life span.
The decor and vibe is so funky, they have really put alot of effot and work into the layout and ambience of the restaurant.
I was recommended the special of the pork belly hash, it was even presented to me as ‘the best dish on the menu’. It was a hearty meal and i would probably opt for something lighter next time but im glad i tried it.
Will have to organise more brekkie meetings here!
New frontrunner in North Sydney. Brekkie with the boss. Heard about this place from all the food bloggers i follow attending the launch event. Looked awesome and is so close to work i had to check it out.
Grabbed a table at Hunter & Gatherer after missing several chances to dine there. No idea what I was waiting for as it was a great lunch. The concise menu with "Smalls" (snacks), "Hunted" (mains) and "Gathered" (sides) at $24 a pair, is a bit of fun and a different way to demonstrate the very popular share-plates approach to dining. To be honest, I could have stayed longer and tried everything on the menu, although my heart and hips would have given me hell later. It's a sexy selection including (now say this slowly for a sexy effect) "House treacle cured and smoked Goulburn river king trout, pepe saya creme fraiche & pickle" ($12) or "Parmesan and thyme organic polenta fries, goats curd, roast mushrooms, roquette and walnut" (and last but not least) "Autumn beets, orange and walnut salad, frisee and willemi honey dressing". It is a gorgeous dining experience with high ceilings, wide open spaces, exposed kitchen and breakout areas to casually catch up. Really happy I didn't pass up the chance to dine this time.
Hunter Gatherer is an exciting new addition to the Sydney’s casual dining scene, sitting atop Greenwood Plaza in North Sydney. Now, I have been working in North Sydney for 17 years and have seen a number of restaurants come and go from this site. The location doesn’t get the foot traffic of other dining establishments within Greenwood Plaza, nor does it face Miller or Blue streets, so you really have to seek out the location. I am here to tell you that Hunter Gatherer needs to be high on your list of new restaurants to come visit. The space is bright and has a modern feel to it. Shared tables towards the back, small tables with tall chairs up front, and relaxed couches outside provide a myriad of options. The psychedelic art installation definitely provides a talking point.
After countless pop-up's at this North Sydney site, Hunter Gatherer has finally opened in all it's glory, boasting a fresh and ever changing menu of 'Hunted' and 'Gathered' options for you to indulge your growling stomachs. With a killer cocktail menu to boot we were eager to get in there and try it out.
Recently, we were lucky enough to be invited to the launch of Hunter Gatherer, a bar and eatery located on the top of Greenwood Plaza in North Sydney. Headed up by Michelin star trained chef Paul Micklewright, we were thoroughly excited to try his fresh and sustainable new menu in a lovely environment.
Great tapas style food with a funky vine and easy going and friendly staff. Shared the steak and fish with salads and it was a great meal. Would recommend
Hunter Gatherer is the latest addition to the North Sydney bar and dining scene. Located where the Burgers by Josh pop-up once was in the Greenwood Plaza rooftop complex, the restaurant itself is spacious and modern. I was invited to the launch party on Tuesday night to check out this lovely new space.

The brand new Hunter Gatherer in North Sydney is the newest venture from the owners of renowned establishments in Bondi - The Corner House and Panama House.
Hunter Gatherer is a bar and eatery - canteen style. It has a huge amount of space, filled with large share tables, booth style tables and intimate corners. The major point of difference is the incredible interior design of this restaurant. Walking in, our breaths were taken away.
It has a fabulous LED wall, wrapping the room in changing light - it is soft, ambient and really makes a statement. Hunter Gatherer is stylish, modern, and not afraid to be different.
Really enjoyed this place. Food was delicious and cocktail very very yummy :) If you go there I would suggest you ask to be seated on one of the long tables as the tables for two have super strange lighting. Didn't detract from a lovely evening and will definitely be back.
Love this place! When you give me a grazing board that I can choose to create from 4 x proteins and 4 x sides I am in heaven. Min of 2 people but that's also awesome... such a generous feed that we basically took another meal home each. Happy hour between 5 and 7 was a big incentive as well. Love the atmosphere and the food was delicious. Wi come again when in the area.
Had a pleasant work lunch here today. Food was good. I had the smoked brisket which I thought was very good and also great value service was friendly. Place is spacious.
Had a work-lunch here on a Friday for 7 people.
We ordered the shared platter which included a choice of 4 proteins with several sides. The food was fantastic and filling as well as surprisingly very well priced.
There was an unfortunate mix-up with our order that delayed our meal by 30 minutes or so. Once it was picked up the meal was ready within 20 minutes.
All things considered, I would definitely come back and recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a tasty meal in North Sydney.
Lots of food for the price, we couldn't finish it. All very tasty. Happy hour drink deal was good too
Had dinner and drinks here after work and would highly recommend it. Portions were generous enough that 1 bbq box and a portion of wings and fries is enough for 2 to share,3 if you're just feeling peckish. Handy location above Geeenwood plaza and all the shops and transport in the area. Friendly staff and smooth service from start to finish. Reasonably priced too.
5 stars... great to visit this awesome restaurant. Great food and service 2nd to none
We'll be back
We went there with a few friends to celebrate a birthday. The food was delicious, the staff were all friendly and accommodating.
We had the Mid-week special ($25pp all you can eat) - great serving portions!
24/7/19 EXCELLENT SERVICE would be the first comment I would give. Best and most attentive staff we have encountered. The dimly lit restaurant offers a cosy feel along with the comfy couches both in an indoor and outdoor setting. When it comes to food, this restaurant serves a delicious feast of tender meats and freshly picked vegetables and salads suitable for everyone. Our Wednesday dinner meant for the special $24.95 all you can eat option which is definitely value for money. The chicken was impeccable and I would highly recommend those croquettes.
