The new manager has the place working well. The staff are friendly, the food is great, whether in the bar section or the restaurant, and the beers are wonderful. I think Nick from Melbourne was having his own bad day.

Standard pub fare, decent enough selection of beers, usually a different beer special every day. Good space, outside in a booth is a great place for a group to catch up and have a afternoon session. I have had schnitzels, steaks and salads here all reasonably priced!
Went here on a Saturday night. Had the Scotch Fillet. Am a bit fussy as far as my steaks, but i have to say it totally floated my boat. Cooked to perfection. The chips are F**%ing OMG, Id ever just return there for them. Mouth watering as we speak. And if you're gonna go for a sauce to go with it, my pick Pepper gravy. The whole thing as a dish was just what i needed after a big night out with mates the night prior so was feeling a bit worse for wear/needed a bit of comfort food. I will defo be back in for my steak fix in future. Atmosphere there also pretty awesome too.

Good bar food, fast service, friendly staff. What more do you need. Trendy atmosphere, with a good feel. Spicy wings have a good bit of heat, but not enough to blow your head off.
As the seasons change, so do our cravings for different foods. As we move into the colder season through Autumn, I start craving big, warm meals to help me build that bikini body for the summer! It was great timing that Republic have revamped their menu to align to the change in seasons. We headed into the Republic on a recent Friday night to try a few of their menu items. We were provided with a gift voucher that contributed towards the meal. One of the highlights of previous visits to the Republic is their slow roasting rotisserie. Delicious large plates of meat have been a feature, and I was looking forward to tasting a few of their new options.
Located in the trendy suburb of Norwood, Republic is a modern and exciting pub known for having the best outdoor beer garden in Australia. It also has a sleek and stylish interior, great entertainment lineups and a constantly evolving food and beverage offering. As we move into the cooler months, Republic have launched a new Autumn menu. Adelaide Food Central was invited to sample some of those dishes, which were provided free of charge.
Very impressed with this place. We tried the beetroot carpacio by accident. It Rocks!
The beer battered fish was spot on. And i have never had a salad so fresh. I was very surprised. As notmally garden salads are not all that.
But this meal the garden salad was as much a part of it. Lot of care taken.

The ambience and music on a Tuesday ngt just perfect. Friendly staff. Friendly patrons. Nice and clean.
Last Thursday, The Adelaidian attended the Republic Refresh launch party hosted by event gurus Girl About Town. Now under new management, Republic has refreshed their ever-trendy venue, introducing new additions to both the food and drink menus, and the evolution of “Miss Fridays” – their “sassy” night out. New Manager, Stephen Lee, says “We simply want to be ever-evolving to ensure we remain the modern, exciting pub that we are renowned for…but rest assured that what our patrons have come to know and love about Republic won’t change.”

With the introduction of a new Head Chef, Daniel Serafin, the revised menu has been updated to cater for a wider demographic, combining new eccentric ingredients and cooking techniques to create a unique experience for Republic’s diners.
Republic, at Norwood, has a new Head Chef and a new spring menu to match. Chef Daniel Serafin began his career in Adelaide, before moving to a two-hat restaurant in Sydney and then overseas. He’s decided to make Adelaide home again, sharing his vast culinary expertise in this new menu.
