Brilliant tasty food, quick service and extremely hospitable hosts.. great Vietnamese coffee! Will be back for the laksa which is apparently the best in the east!
Called in with a couple friends and it was just about closing time and we were shown to a table. I had Singapore noodles 🍝 and it was delicious 😋 my friends had pho 🍲 thanks so much 😊❤️🙏🏻
Good service n food! Good portions too! Fantastic service. Mochi is amazing!
Heard a lot about this place, so driving past one night just before closing thought I'd pop in.
Far from being putout by this late visitor I was made to feel welcome. Any restaurant that offers Bun Bo Hue and Bun Reiu impresses me already. Being a restaurant owner and Chef I was keen to eat something we didn't cook so I went for a Curry Laksa and a Vietnamese Coffee. I was seriously impressed.Had a chat with Francis and found him to be a friendly and informative host.
All in all I am very keen to grab the Wife and some friends one day and try out some of the more "fine dinning" menu items
Great restaurant for Chinese food with Malaysian slant. The pandan chicken was delicious while the lamb hotpot is very tasty too. Francis owner and manager will sure to give customers great care and service. Worth a revisit. Your location

Great Malaysian and Thai food and host owner Francis will sure to take care of you. One of best curry laksa in Melbourne. The Ox tail soup is fantastic and flavorsome and tender. The rendang is also tops with generous portions and tender meat. The that mango prawn salad is also great with healthy greens and juicy prawns. Highly recommend these dishes and pricing is great too. One of top asian restaurants in Melbourne.

Great food and service from owner Francis and his team. The hog pork trotters was great and very tasty, the prawns was delicious and great size whole the chicken ribs in tamarind sauce was delightful and full of flavour too.The mochi dessert is to die for and a definite must try. Definitely a go to restaurant for reasonably priced Malaysian asian home-cooked food. Assam Barramundi is great dish, you will not be disappointed. So is it chicken ribs in Tamarind sauce.
Excellent Thai food.
My favour is Assam Barramundi and Moonshell Clams.
Staff is very friendly.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends
If you are looking for a flavor filled authentic Vietnamese and southern Asian cuisine this is the place to be!
Every dish of their Chinese New Year banquets was packed full of flavor and spice. The meal started with a prosperity salad that we all tossed together as a group and was a delicious way to start our banquet. The seafood laksa was a crowd favorite with all the flavors you would expect and a nice amount of spice. The meals kept on coming with butter prawns, vegetarian rolls, poached chicken and barramundi fish which were all so falvoursome! Francis was very welcoming and passionate about his cuisine and heritage. The only downside would be the decor could use an update. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a casual quick meal that’s full of flavor. Thank you so much for the invite.
Flavour flavour flavour! Who ever had Malaysian food knows the flavour explosions you can expect of every dish. Stemming from the wide range of influences from Cantonese over traditional Malay and Indian cuisines, the Malaysian kitchen is one of the most exciting to come across.
For the launch of their new Chinese New Year Banquet menu we had the honour to sample a variety of dishes and man was the journey worth it!
Favourites: butter prawns, whole barramundi and the seafood laksa. The butter prawns were the most unexpected but also most exciting dish of the day with crispy Chinese broccoli and tangy butter crisps and soo juicy. Just thinking of it makes me salivate. The barramundi was super flaky, basically falling apart and bang-full of flavour. And the star: the laksa! Man that broth - with laksa you can go super wrong and get very oily overly spicy soup based but not with this one. A very rich but well balanced soup with the best fish cake I ever had and tasty seafood - not too much ingredients but just the right amount to be very satisfied.
Who knows my reviews knows that I’m not giving 5s and the only mini mini reason why this is not a 4.5 would be the vegetarian rolls which to me were slightly too sweet but that’s just my opinion from someone who is a very savoury person.
All together a very positive experience due to the friendly hospitality of Francis and his team!
I've been here a few times and I can't go past the curry laksa it's amazing! And the look of other dishes ensures that I will be going back. The owner is very friendly and gives great service.
Good bye Happy Cook and welcome the Flavours of Mekong.
A few flavours to try here as Mekong area/river does cover a few countries in the Indochina region and I think that's what this establishment is trying to showcase.
Seems like an experience operator with previous Thai establishment in the City that we get to know quite well, Sawasdee in Chinatown.
My Vietnamese Pho rare beef & brisket is above average, broth is on the sweet side, tasty but made me thirsty.
We'll come back for their Thai dishes, as that's what the Malaysian background proprietor said as his best cuisine.
Perhaps it's cause my food experiences of late have been mediocre at best that makes me overly eager but the curry Laksa I had here for lunch was amazing. Spicy, creamy and bang full of flavour. A shame it didn't have eggplant but they did include fresh prawns (which unfortunately I don't really care for). Being rather empty for a week day lunch, the owner came over for a chat and he was seemed very friendly and nice. Will definitely come back to try all the other dishes on their menu
Food here was nice, taste is aimed more to your westerners palette. Very simple and flavours wasn't like your typical Vietnamese/ Chinese restaurant. Even the 3 colours drink had grass jelly in it (not supposed to) but maybe it's their version of it. Dessert coconut pancake was yummy!
I have been coming to this place for lunch take-out. I tried different Malaysian foods and was happy with the taste. Curry was quite thick for me to enjoy it and it wasn't that salty which was great. Basil in the fried rice needs some work to make it tastier. Overall it was such a good experience for me. The price is also competitive compared to other Malaysian restaurants.
I would definitely come back again for other meals. The owner and staff are also friendly. The good thing is that we are able to customize to suit our taste 🙂. Requested chilli cut as well without any issues.
We had the best Vietnamese in a while here today. Spring rolls were cooked just right, and the Bun had the freshest pork (also perfectly cooked) I've tasted in ages in this frequent go-to dish. Fast friendly service and my LDC loved her seafood curry lahksa. We'll surely be back.
Best food and great 👍 cuisine absolutely fabulous owner Francis and his hospitality
What a wonderful experience we had here for a family birthday party. We had a big group, 16 people, and the customer service was super. Foot was terrific, top marks on the rendang, and curries. Will definitely be considering this restaurant our local for south-east Asian cuisine.
Great service and flavor. Highly recommend the Ox Tail Hot Pot, the beef is cooked perfectly with a rich sauce. We also really enjoyed the Tom Yum Boon soup.
Great place for a meal. We loved their lamp pot and Chilli crab. It's now our favourite place!
Fantastic Malaysian Chinese restaurant, especially the deep fried Mango Barramundi and the Jumbo King Prawns with tang hoon.

One of top asian restaurants in Melbourne. The pork hock trotters was nicely cooked and tender, the prawns was spicy and full of flavour, the chicken ribs in tamarind sauce was delightful and sweet too. The moochi dessert is to die for and a definite must try. Prices are reasonable and atmosphere and setting was great. Sure to be back.
