Always have a good meal at Paparich Nunawading but the staff need a smile a bit, even I say thank you with big smile, he just plain no expression �

Some of the Malaysian dishes are similar to some popular South Indian items. True it's a traditional Malaysian Restaurant chain. But their quality and identity is remarkable. Roti Telur with Curry chicken means combination. Noodles is my favourite South Asian dish. Fried rice noodles were good in taste and flavor. And Nasi Lemak was overwhelming rice dish.
I'm always happy when there's a PappaRich at a shopping centre. It's like I'm going home, or somewhere familiar. Malaysian comfort food at its finest. Get a Teh Tarik, some roti canai with curry chicken, close your eyes and pretend that you're in Kuala Lumpur.

JULY 2018 Food:3.5, Service:0.5=4 Been here before for their wok tossed noodles and love it. Today, I had a drink with my friends and we simple loved this Lychee and black jelly. The place is quite big and easy to find parking after 5.30pm, when Brandsmart is closed. The waitress is really help and funny, we all had a good time here. I will be back again.
This place was recently renovated so will need to return again. Dined here around 4 months ago, always a delight and super busy. I love their drinks especially the black sesame drink!

I was invited to Pappa Rich to check out the recently renovated Nunawading restaurant. This was my first ever visit although I have noticed them all over Melbourne for many years (and indeed the world). The ordering process is very efficient, you fill out the form, press the button and the food will be whisked to your table in quite a speedy manner.
We started with some prawn dumplings, some roti and peanut sauce, a roti canai curry chicken and char koay teow. I loved the dumplings so much I had to get a second serve! The roti was also perfection so deliciously fluffy and not to mention the peanut sauce! Unbelievably yummy and such a generous portion (nothing upsets me more than a tiny satay dipping sauce).
My husband thoroughly enjoyed his chicken curry and ordered a second roti to mop up the extra sauces. I was intrigued by many of their beverages, the offering is very extensive and it was quite a difficult choice. In the end I settled on the delicious watermelon juice and the mango mania.
I loved the watermelon as it was just so refreshing but the mango was also interesting with its watermelon balls and textural jelly pieces although a little sweet for me. The menu does mention that they add sugar to this to sweeten the natural fruit but there is also the option to opt out.
We finished with dessert, my husband going for the banana fritter but my interest piqued by the sweet banana roti given how much I had enjoyed the bread earlier. I would liken this to a crepe style dessert and thoroughly recommend trying it. Loved the creamy vanilla ice cream with this too. I would also definitely suggest making a booking as there wasn’t a spare seat in the house!

PappaRich in Nunawading has recently reopened after a renovation So we came in today to check out the new venue and try out the menu.
For those of you unfamiliar with the ordering you write out your order cards with the corresponding menu code and ring the buzzer at your table and the staff are very prompt to come and take your order. Very prompt was a good summary of the staff actually as everything arrived quickly.
To start we had the Roti canai, this delicious flakey roti arrived with a trio of dipping sauces, a curry sauce (with a delicious coconut milk base), a moorish dhal and a spicy sambal. We tore into this bread and dipped like crazy, oh the flavour, unfortunately we made the mistake of sharing this dish, I’ve learnt my lesson, next time I won’t! I want it all to myself.
To quench our thirsts we ordered the Lemon iced tea (sweet) and a Teh c special iced, this tri leveled iced tea was a delight when mixed through.
For mains we ordered the Biryani rice, beef rendang & prawn, the biryani was super fragrant, the smells was enticing. The rendang curry was flavoursome but just a little dry for my tastes while the sambal prawns were a hit.
also had the Papa char kuay teow, it was served piping hot, and had the authentic smokey wok flavour with a nice crunch from the bean shoots.
For dessert we ordered the Roti banana & vanilla ice cream, just because one piece of roti between two earlier was simply not enough! This huge piece of roti was filled with slices of banana which once cooked was gloriously sweet, the banana was a lovely thickness, not too thick and not to thin and paired perfectly with the rich and creamy vanilla ice cream.
I also ordered the Malaysian dessert ABC (ice kacang) the picture in the menu was so striking, I just had to try it. This refreshing concoction reminded me of icy sweetened condensed milk with a hint of Turkish rose. Whilst I enjoyed the grass jelly, the iced texture and the light sweet milk flavour, my wife’s western palate was somewhat challenged but the inclusion of puréed sweet corn and red beans. This dessert is substantial and big enough for two, when you hit the bottom of the dessert you find peanuts and sultanas in the melted mix which is a lovely addition to the dessert

Approximately $50 for two people is enough for a proper meal with a drink for each one in Papparich. Ambiance is good and not crowded. Staff are friendly with prompt service and food serving is big. Food is tasty and filling. Good place to go if really hungry. Drinks are awesome. So far all of the drinks we’ve tried are good especially the soya milk coffee jelly, red beans or any cold drink.
Best pappa rich in town.. friendly staff, consistent taste & quality. We’ve been going here since 2016. They also offer combination/variation if a dish is unavailable.
Located next to Brandsmart shopping complex. It's very convenience to stop for a quick meal after shopping.Nice place to hang out with family and friends also ; the menu options is huge with lots of delicious authentic Malaysians dishes . Seafoods or chicken Curry laksa, Pappa Char Koay Teow are always my fave along side with Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken..yum all delicious.
Cant really go wrong with any meal. Affordable and tasty. Roti is nice and fluffy, complements the meal.
Need to give fried chicken skin a try :)
