First time here, special dinner for a birthday. On a Thursday night they were quite busy but we had reserved a table and were seated immediately by a friendly smiling waiter. The menu wasn't tremendously large but had enough for all of us to choose something easily. A Seafood platter for 2 for my 2 companions and a Rib Eye for me. Service was always just there without being intrusive or overbearing and all the staff we spoke to were very familiar with all the menu offerings. A good range of wines by the bottle and enough by the glass to choose from. The venue is not particularly elegant, fairly plain and Spartan, no tablecloths. Prices are on the high side and I would expect a bit more extravagance with the décor. The quality of the food though is superb and makes up for the lack of occasion in the venues presentation. Everything was of the highest quality, superbly prepared and very tasty. Definetly competition for the Lobster Cave!! The food here is better, although the atmosphere is not as "special".
When my friends told me that we were going to this restaurant, I'll admit that I was apprehensive. I've never been a seafood fan, but this has turned me in the right direction. I decided to take the plunge (pun not intended) and try something new, and I am so glad that I did. Their food was absolutely delicious, their service and staff amazing. And even though there was a family with small children, it still maintained a intimate, cosy vibe. Thanks for a fantastic experience guys, can't wait to come back.
This restaurant is so pretty inside. The food was just exquisite. It's a bit more costly so something we do for special occasions. The appetizers are all delicious and the selection of mains we tried were awesome: risotto, garlic prawns, tiger prawns with chili and the swordfish. Such well-sized, cosy and hearty meals. Service was lovely too.
