Review The Greenhouse Of Orange - Orange

Shout out to Kerry! The lovely lady greeted us upon arrival and she made the setting up a membership easy and fun. Staff were all fantastic and friendly, except for one of the bartenders. But everyone else had smiles and made it a good night. Members discounts were amazing and we both got our meals on time and quickly considering how many people there was. Good job to the team. We will definitely be back. Pokies looked good as well which we will have to try out next time!

My first crumbed lamb cutlets and they were great! The reimagined prawn cocktail was also excellent

My First time having Indian food in Australia. The food is just amazingly delicious. The hospitality is great. I enjoyed their food a lot. Now I love Indian food and becomes my favourite one. No online booking at the moment, just walking no problem.

While I was not successful at the slaps, (so never mark someone down for my silliness)... the food is great and servings are massive. Also the beers are cold and the whole place is enjoyable. Just watch those e-roulette machines.

Visited 9th May22 for dinner for 2. The meals were superb and excellent value. Highly recommended. Was so good, we returned the following night instead of trying/searching for another eatery. Clean, efficient, delicious. All you could want. Nice upmarket atmosphere, well laid out, and efficient cleaning and clearing of tables. Haydn - Newcastle - NSW

Dropped a client off for a meeting in Orange yesterday - first time visitor to the town - and had a couple of hours to kill, so visited the RSL Club. Excellent on every level, especially the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. I have never experienced anything like it. I thought ‘customer service' had long since died, but the RSL staff proved me wrong. 10 out of 10 from everyone and I hope they are paid well; they deserve it!

Huge meals both meals were pasta and delicious. If you like the pokies it's great as the whole club is full of them. Clean and newly renovated but not much else going on

Always loath to leave a negative review but the management need to put a rocket up the staff in the restaurant. We stood waiting to get a table while 5 staff stood gossiping behind a counter. Then when ordering the lady taking the order was more interested in gossiping to the lady beside her than acknowledging us. Other people beside us also mentioned staff standing around and having a gossip. Quite sad as it is a nice club and the food was awesome. Some staff or management training is needed.

The point here is timing. We sat down at 6:30, didn't get our food till after 8. The reason we were booked for 6:30 is because we have kids and timing with kids is important. Since it took so long to get our food the kids had already become restless, on top of the fact that we were starving. Now that it was after 8 and the baby had enough one of us had to hold her and let our food get cold while the other ate. Giving my older daughter complimentary ice cream without asking me, to make up for the late dinner may seem like a good idea but it really isn't..... it's late, don't give my child ice cream, how am I suppose to be the bad guy now and take it off her?? She doesn't care it was a late dinner, I care. Why was my food late? Apparently because a party of 50 ordered food at the wrong kitchen... Firstly: we got there well before them. Secondly: "too many ppl ordered food at the same time" in a restaurant is not a valid excuse.... At least when I eventually got it the steak did taste good and the staff seemed alright.

Cannot rate weekends here as I've only been during the week. Lunch menu is way to fancy and extremely over-priced, including the kids menu. 4 adults and a 20month old was well over $100, that's after the discount for being a member. Which would be fine if it was dinner and you actually got what was written on the menu. I got the loin of lamb today for $23 and expected lamb rolled in garlic and rosemary slow roasted with baby fennel and potato. I got roughly 2 tiny lamb loin chops that weren't intact on a wooden board with a cup of wedge chips and, what I assume was a balsamic glaze sauce in a tiny cup. No baby fennel and no roast potatoes.. definitely not $23 worth. The only good part about this place is the kids play area. But I can bet that there aren't too many families that would say that it was an affordable place to take the kids/family for lunch. Better off going to the hood, the adventure playground or packing a picnic and going to the lake with the kids. They would most definitely benefit from a more relaxed cafe style menu for lunch during the week. Others may have different experiences but i won't be going back anytime soon.

The place looks great. Layed out really well with plenty of space, not cramped. All of the staff are really friendly and helpful. As long as you go through the lift from the back car park and straight up to the Greenhouse. Avoid the rude club staff. First time I went there the old chook on the front desk downstairs got me as I was leaving and had a go at me for going up to the Greenhouse without signing into the club first. I almost never went back because of her. Past her expiry date unless she changes her attitude a how she speaks to customers. Anyway, rant over. Back to the Greenhouse. The guys had the wood fired pizza that looked and smelt great. Beautiful thin crisp crust and just the right amount of topping. They were pretty impressed. My sister and I both had the BBQ plate. It was amazed! But way too much food. We should have shared. Looking forward to trying the restaurant next time. Well done Greenhouse. :-)

Took my son and daughter inlaw for breakfast as i love the atmosphere was very dissapointed in the service, we ordered breakfast and coffees breakfast came and they asked if we were waiting on anything else and we told the waitress we were still waiting for our coffees she said she would go check, we finished eating breakfast and still no coffee another waiter came and asked if we were waiting on anything so we said yes coffee tables that came in after us had been served coffee after an hour and a half i went and asked for refund as stll no coffee and not one of the waiters or waitresses that had come over bothered to come and say that they were on there way or explain what was going on. I really love this place but staff really need to be trained better in customer service

I had dinner with my daughter and a friend from Qld. The food was amazing so tasty and fresh best food I have had in a long time. Thank you to the Head chef. The service was also fantastic friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our night out at The Greenhouse of Orangeand would recommend it to anyone. The decor makes for a great setting. Well done

The new menu at the Greenhouse was awful and terrible value for money. I got the chicken schnitzel it was so dry and the vegetables were burnt. Very disappointing as I have been previous occasions and the food has been great.

Still talking about our dinner to the Greenhouse! Stylish decor and fantastic food. A great place to try local wine and produce. Even the restrooms are 5 stars for a group of girls! Well done on your design and vision....Excellent.

The indoor and outdoor eateries are just fabulous. The Brazilian slow cooked lamb shoulder was perfect, thank you Sam. I had two coffees from the cafe which were yummo. The cost was very low for every thing especially if you are a Member of the R.S.L. The seating was great. The little ones ran around in bare feet and had the best time. My only complaint does not involve food or service... The overhead heaters got way too hot on a sun filled afternoon and the Fire-pits just smoked everything up so much I was finding it hard to breath. I have mild asthma but had to use my asthma medication four times more than usual over the following 20 hours, after coming home.

Consistently terrible food. Here's a tip , take out your kids area now and market to the 18 to 25 year oldss....because pretty soon professionals with kids will drop off. Shade cloths for kids area and sunscreen stations...? just a tip and have your pizza chef replace hot pizza trays with cold when handing to customers.

Great food and entertainment! Would recommend this place to locals and visitors.

The only good thing I can find with this place is that it looks amazing and the kids area is fabulous, my son had a great time! however paying nearly $5 for my milkshake to come in a small coffee cup with lid and straw (for me! not my son), the tomato "chutney" for the burger was tomato paste and the "beef ragu" had no flavour and was pretty much just boiled meat. And your servers could at least smile! There is nothing worse than going somewhere and everyone looks like they would rather be anywhere else. You may be in a bad mood, but fake it if you have to! May go back for coffee and a play, but I certainly won't be paying to eat there again until standard picks up.

This being the second time I've been back, again I was not impressed, both times staff have been disorganised, things seemed to be a hassle, especially for the manager. The food is over priced especially for what you get, today I paid $20 for a bowl of pasta sauce, 6 slices of chorizo an egg that was barely cooked and two pieces of bread, something I could of cooked much better at home. Another person at our table asked for her eggs to be completely cooked as she is pregnant, they came out barely cook, got sent back to the kitchen and come back out still runny. We had all had our meals by this time, she asked for a refund, there is so communication between staff and managers, not only did the manager barely apologise for the mistake she took over 15 minutes for us only to have to go find her to get it as we wanted to leave. Thank you to Millie for coming and apologising to us before we left Don't get me wrong the area is absolutely beautiful and great for kids but for the amount of money that was spent into the area the customer service and food does not reflect it

We had our staff party here last week with 14 people. 2 kids played in the playground happily while we ate. Most impressed with food, staff and atmosphere. Great new space for Orange.

Lovely venue. Great place for the kids to play (as there is a kids play area). Don’t know what the prices are like for lunch, but dinner was rather pricey. Not a place to take a family if you’re on a budget. Staff were friendly.

We had a fantastic breakfast at The Greenhouse, next time we are in Orange, we will stay at the Mercure just to have another breakfast at The Greenhouse

Only stopped for a drink staff was friendly, drink was fine, music was good, kids had fun.
