Review Alfio's Pizzeria - Orange

Missy Me
This place is constant with take away orders, however I’m not sure what the fuss is all about. Hence here is some feedback to help improve the food. Suggest using fresh ingredients rather than tinned or packaged ingredients. Pizzas were bland and undercooked, as doughy inside and uneven. Also some herbs or seasoning would make them tasty. It’s not right to charge normal prices for below average food. Unfortunately we won’t be back.

Sadly, Orange has no really good Italian. There's an opportunity for someone to fill the gap but Alfio's apparently haven't figured that out yet. Reasonably good pizza & pasta; other dishes very ordinary (so far, based on several visits). Worth supporting but needs feedback!

Mum and my sister enjoyed their lasagne and veal dishes but my spaghetti marinara was the worst I’ve ever had. It probably cost less than $5 to make - a very thin tomato sauce with some defrosted bits of muscles, one tiny piece of octopus, some fish that disintegrated, 2 pieces of calamari that tasted like elastic, and ONE shrivelled up prawn! Basically, it was wet, red spaghetti that cost $25.

Food is absolutely fantastic. Love the pizzas, the tortellini alla panna is my absolute favourite pasta (if you try it ask for extra Parmesan it makes it even tastier). Yeah the customer service isn’t that great a lot of the time but honestly they’ve been there for years, they put up with a lot of terribly rude customers, and it’s high stress! It’s hospitality so I can give them the benefit of the doubt. They work their butts off to give us a delicious meal ☺️

Bolognese appeared small for the main size. Sauce was minimal and under seasoned. Pasta was way over cooked. Asked for double parmesean and received a small amount that couldn't be tasted. Given the cost, it was underwhelming.

Very enjoyable Lasagne. Not too much tomato flavour (thank heavens) which is always a disappointment. Great Carbonara. Both dishes were classic flavour. Classic is BEST. THANK YOU.

Been years since we ordered a fettuccine picante, ordered a couple today while we were back in town. Nice to see its as good as ever! throughly enjoyed it and will back for more.

My carbonara was scrambled eggs and spaghetti (specifically asked for the "creamy" kind). No exchange/refund offered - instead someone tried to convince me that the texture is normal. Very disappointed for >$20. Friendly counter staff though.
