Review Frida's Mexican - Orange

Scott Bebbington
I enjoyed having lunch at Fridas. Upon entry staff were friendly and helpful. Selection of drinks from both Fridas and The Lord Anson pub. Seating consisted mainly of high tables and stools which aren’t the most comfortable to sit and relax. The menu is fairly simple and all the food we tried was good but the serving sizes are quite small for the price. The eating area has outdoor gas heaters as I would assume it gets cold at night. Another thing with the eating area is the brewing vats which are sectioned off. This might be an attempt at a micro-brewery look but it’s not working. All in all it was a good place to eat and I would go back again. It would be good if they improved the seating and portion sizes.

I love this place! The colours are amazing! The staff are super nice. I asked hepas of questions about the food and the drinks and the guy with the beard was very happy to answer everything that I asked. The meals are good and you can get variation on the listed items. The burritos are awesome and so are the burrito bowls (for those pretending to be healthy). I visited here for dinner on a whim after walking past earlier in the day. Good food and great staff.

Stopped by on opening day to check out the new place in town. Yum! Tried the Beef Burrito... Pretty tasty, quick service too. I would have liked some more hot sauce and/or Chipotle or Jalapenos added, but I'm a bit of a chilli tragic. 😂 Will be good when the onsite micro brewery is up and running. Looks to be great local craft beer options on tap. Get amongst it.

Unusual spot at the back of the Lord Anson and facing the Kmart carpark, serves archetypal texmex cuisine. I found the service prompt, the premises tidy and staff clear. Decor will not be to everyone's taste. Prices are slightly lower than what's listed on their website (by about a dollar) and a filling meal can be had for a reasonable amount ($14 full size burritos, as of March 2019). Is actually open Tuesdays 4pm 'till late' which is when I sourced my bountiful burrito.

Really good food. And so cheap. Starting at $4 and going to about $12 the meals are delicious and filling.

Service is subpar. Flavorless and overpriced. Have not been back
