Visited this place with my partner for dinner yesterday. We had booked table for two at seven. The place was quiet busy with customers at the restaurant as well as home deliveries.
I am a vegetarian from Bombay. I never expected Melbourne @Bombay Club to serve such delicious tasting food. It just reminded me of my hometown.
We had ordered Aloo Tikki, Tandoori Mashrooms, Kulcha, Garlic Naan and Paneer - zal - feeze.
The staff is friendly and polite. The place is done well and plays soft soothing bollywood tracks.
Also not to forget their service was quick. After placing the order we didn't wait long for the food to be served.
The presention was good and food was served warm. It was not at all hot and so we could taste the rich Indian food flavours and spices.
I love the place and will surely visit again.
If you google "reliable Indian cuisine in Melbourne" at the top of the search results is Bombay Club. Didn't actually test this theory, but just believe it orrite?
Over the years this has become a semi-regular obsession. Yet to have a bad meal from this mob, both in-house or for take away. The Naan is always glorious, the lamb-filled one is a real cracker. Why not put more meat in something if you can? That's The Dear Luncher's motto anyway.
The Rogan Josh did not knock the socks off with heat, but it was extremely fragrant. The curry itself incredibly voluminous in its texture and flavours. Plenty of lamb as well.
You will also struggle to get better samosas around town. A real dyed-in-the-wool family operation that commands respect.
Came here with my father, both quite hesitant as we have local favourite Indian restaurant. Well, Bombay Club blew our socks off. From decor to the food, I highly recommend here. Such a clean environment too. Owners are lovely & accomodating.
